Soak tissue paper in Dawn dish soap with a bit of hot water. Slap the dish soap and water mixture soakes tissue all over your car and leave over night. Soaking softens all the tree sap and bird poo. Best to do it inside so water doesn't evaporate quickly. Next day, the tree sap is softened and easy to remove. Gentle dish soap shouldn't damage the car clear coat or car paint
Thanks for the video; it was really well done. I haven't tried this Citrol product. I have used rubbing alcohol / hand sanitizer, and found that it works, but requires more scrubbing than I would prefer. Have you tried rubbing alcohol, and if so, how would you compare the level of effort between the two products? A third chemical I plan to try is turpentine (actual tree-based solvent, which should work well on tree-based goo).
All those sap marks and none dropped on the windshield? Why didn't you show yourself removing sap from a windshield? "...and glass" was your video title, yet no glass was cleaned!
Try using dish soap and a little hot water to soak a few pieces of tissue paper. Slap dish soap water soaked tissue on the tree sap spots on my car body or wind shield. Let it soak over night. Dish water softens and loosens the tree sap. Wipe off tree spa next day with wet tissue or towel. Dish soap like Dawn or Palmolive shouldn't damage car clear coat or paint. Worked well on my BMW which had hardened tree sap. Good luck.

Do you know if citrol will work on " sticky dash" a common problem on some models of toyota and lexus vehicles?
