    Been using the Medx selectorized chest press both myself and with clients for the last 13 years. It's my favorite chest press I've ever used. IMO, the only way to use it is to gap the stack and set your ROM so that the handles fully converge and touch. Glad to see you putting it to good use!

    One of the best MedX Machines. I liked to use it with a ROM that won’t allow to extend the arms fully and then pushed the vertical grips together for an isocontraction / static hold Great feeling….

    I recently started doing this with mine as well. I actually read the placard and it mentions doing this haha. I agree, I like it a lot more!

    i totally agree, if the machine does not have an adjustable back pad, then put a supplement like a pillow, yoga blocks, etc. I tested it, last time using Matrix Chest Press machine, was playing with torso position, and i found out that leaning a bit forward gets a "perfect" plane of motion and better chest work and feeling. Now you gave me another idea i was missing, to pull the pin of the stack and stick it in 3 holes! Thank you

    You missed an important point on your „Trick“!
    With that you also change the strength curve of the machine.
    And luckily in a way, that is better for the chest with the more converge situation ;)
    -> it becomes more lighter in the end of the contraction

      Very good point! Thanks for pointing it out. The more vertical the stack translates the more there is a taper effect.

      I also use sometimes resistance bands with that machine.
      You can go from one handle to the other (behind the metal profile) to change the strength curve in the other direction.
      Really a great machine.

    In your opinion, is there any lack of an advantage to the fact the movement arms are synchronized and not iso lateral. I've always preferred iso, like Hammer Strength for instance. I ama huge fan of Hammer Strength in general for this fact alone. Or do you prefer synchronized movement arms for some movements and not for others? Like chest versus back for example. Great hack on this machine by the way. Brilliant.

      With this machine I don’t think you are missing anything g by it not being unilateral at all.

    GOOD VID , NATE AMAZING ISNT IT THE PERFECTON OF THE MEDX ART JONES DID - 40 ! YEARS AGO! DAVID FEATHER AGREES WITH U ON THIS PIECE AND ALSO THE MEDX LEG PRESS HE FOUND THE TENSION DYNAMIC THE BEST OVER PLATE LOADED TOO MACHINE GIVES GREAT RESULTS AND AS INJURY FREE AS IT CAN GET BRAVO
