    I am so grateful I found this video. I did not use my Camera for the reason that I don’t know how to download my videos and pics to my laptop. This video is truly helpful. I literally followed your directions step by step and viola I did it.

    This is the best tutorial from all of them explain everything properly. I have check like 10 others and couldn’t find what’s my problem and why my camere won’t connected to my Mac. Now I have to hdmi cable I don’t need as it connect by wifi! Very grateful I finally could do it! Th ask you 😊

    Hi I am trying to connect my m50 to my MacBook wirelessly and I’ve been following all the right steps but when I get to the part at 5:14 and launch the EOS utility application, a different window than yours pops up on my screen, I believe it’s the main menu but it won’t let me click on anything except for preferences and quit. On my camera it says pairing (connection) with computer in progress. Start EOS utility on the computer. I’ve tried over and over, and I’ve tried restarting the application on my computer too. Can someone please help🙏🏽

    There is no software available for download using MacOS Big Sur, what do I do???

We typically don't develop or update software for new operating systems until their official release, and we do not develop based on beta releases as the final release could be substantially different. As macOS Big Sur was just officially released a few days ago as of this post, our developers are now conducting tests and will soon be rolling out software and driver updates as needed. Be sure to check canon.us/umms4 periodically to get the latest version of everything you need for your EOS M50.

      @@CanonUSASupport That reeks. I just bought your camera new and Big Sur has been out for a long time now. Ridiculous that you can not link your hardware to modern software. Some point this out as a huge problem with american tech brands. I would love to see you actually do something about this. I've spent hours and hours trying to find a way to get photos to my laptop. I can put them on any phone incredibly easily. Big fail here.

      @@Dylpostino If it helps, I tried Cascable Transfer tonight in the app store. It did work flawlessly once the camera was connected to the same wifi. Theres a 7day trial or it hikes up to 25$ after. Anyhow best of luck!

    I'm having troubles. My canon Eos m50 camera is not syncing to my computer. I set up the pairing process and whenever I try to connect to my camera's wifi connection, it keeps joining, then immediately disconnecting. It will not let me sync anything on my camera onto my computer, and the "EOS pairing software device" screen that comes up when I press "pairing over wifi/lan" in my EOS utility app does not show my camera as a pairing device. It has worked in the past, im not sure why its not working now.. help!

    This was very helpful but what happens when it says under drivers and downloads that, "There is no driver for the OS Version you selected. The driver may be included in your OS or you may not need a driver."? Please help!!

      Hi, Taylor! Some operating systems already have the necessary drivers built in. In those cases, you should be able to hook up your Canon camera and your computer should immediately recognize it and be able to interact with it.

    Didn't work for me and my mac. Very frustrating! I have Mac OS Big Slur v11.1 and that's not available so I can't do wireless or even via usb to use as a web cam. Any ideas?

      @@CanonUSASupport I have been speaking to a Nick for USA support and the fact it Canon can't update for us that have new updated macs basically. No solution unless I use the HDMI which is not as good so I won'y go that route. Thanks

    Hey! Ugh! I don't see where I have Remote Control (EOS Utility) available. I have transfer imgs between cameras, Connect to smartphone, Print from Wi-Fi printer, and Upload to Web service. Can I add Remote Control (EOS Utility)? Thanks so much!

    instead of remote control eos utility, its showing view images on DLNA devices. Is it not possible to connect my camera wirelessly to utility software?

    When i open the utility 3 for the first time while paring, it doesn't give me the "connecting to eon camera" like yours. Just a 3 section screen with, "download images to computer", "remote settings" camera settings", what do I do to get it like in this video?

    Im having a problem with getting EOS utility launcher. Every time I open EOS utility 3 while trying to connect the camera to the Mac. The only thing that pops up is EOS utility 3 not EOS utility launcher. I also can't do anything on EOS utility 3 if I can't connect with the utility launcher. Is there something I can do to fix it?

    If anyone is frustrated with Big Sur and the lack of connectivity to this lil camera, I did download Cascable Transfer from the app store to my macbook and it worked, much to my surprise! Once connecting the camera to the same wifi channel the app reads it right away. There is a trial if someone is curious.

    Ok so I wanna start a channel and this is the camera and laptop I will be getting. I will be editing my videos on IMovie and I was wondering do you have to do this process to access the footage you made under downloads?

    I just purchased the M100, and do not see an option for "Select Remote Control EOS Utility" option on the Wifi Screen. I haven't downloaded any updates or anything onto the camera, do I need to? My menu options in general seem to be different than what you have here as well. Thank you!

      Hi, Trent! Once your images and videos are on your computer, you should be able to open them with the right applications. If you're using Canon RAW files, keep in mind that those can only be opened in the Canon applications supplied with your EOS M50 such as Digital Photo Professional. That application lets you convert your RAW files into common formats like JPG which allows them to be opened in a wide variety of applications.

    Ive recently bought a MacBook and have done all of your steps but am completely confused on where I can view the files afterwards? Like I go into my finder app and there's no folders or downloads from my camera

    When I download the utility I don't get to choose which area I live in. After I press open, it just dissappears and nothing happens. I tried to download different versions. I tried up restart my mac. And I also updated my software from Monterey to Ventura. Same things, I do not get any further.

    The option is there to connect over my personal wifi but I can never get it to connect. I've tried multiple times and it will just never connect to my wifi. I've tried by selecting the network from the list and entering the password. I've tried using a manual network entry. And I've tried by WPS. It will not connect. What is the problem? I want to be able to remote shoot my videos and sometimes need to access the internet for some things I'm shooting so I need to be on my network, not the camera's internal wifi. The option is there, so why doesn't it work. I can't find anything online about this. This is really frustrating.

In the meantime, you may be able to download your photos by simply connecting your EOS M50 to your computer and seeing what options it offer you once it recognizes your camera. If your computer has a memory card reader, you can also use that to transfer your images directly onto your computer.

    Mine has been working fine until my camera disconnected during a download. Now the download image to computer option is no longer clickable or highlighted even though my camera is still connecting to the wifi. My camera keeps saying "Target not found" .. I tried deleting and redownloading Eos utility

      The camera used in the video is the EOS M50. The model of the camera will be labeled on the outside, front of the camera. In checking your camera, you will want to confirm whether it says EOS M50 on the outside.

    How to transfer image in Jpeg format instead of CR3?

      Hi, Subin! Each image will be copied to your computer as the same file type as the original. If there are any CR3 files that don't already have a corresponding JPG copy on your memory card, you can use a photo editing application such as Digital Photo Professional to create JPG copies once the images are on your computer.

    Once I download it, my Mac need to restart in order to complete the installation. But after that, there is nothing on the laptop. Where's the problem?

      Hi, Caesar! In order for your EOS M50 to interact properly with your Mac, you'll need to have EOS Utility installed as shown in the video. For an iPhone, you'll need to have the Canon Camera Connect app installed for your EOS M50 to be able to work with it.

      Hi! You'll find the serial number for your EOS M50 printed on the label on the bottom of the camera. It should be a 12-digit number consisting of only numerals and no letters.

    This would be great if it only recommended the 'latest utility software', but it doesn't. It recommends (for mac) Webcam Utility Pro, Firmware Version 11.1.0, Utility 3.17.2, Picture Style Editor 1,29.0, Utility 3..17.1, Digital Photo pro 4.18.0, Utility 3.16.12, I don't know what any of these are, if all are needed. Disappointed!
