(SPOILER GUARD!!!) DO NOT SCROLL DOWN BEFORE WATCHING THE VIDEO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Congrats to Oceania for winning the tournament, it was a really close series (as evidenced by the game going all the way to the final turn in a tiebreaker) and they played great.
Also, tyranitar is a non-legendary :) Had to subvert expectations somehow
I just can't understand how moves with 70% - 80% miss everytime, meanwhile One hit ko moves can't hit any single time, doesn't make sense the % values in these mf games
When stone edge missed, I can feel the pain of the kabutops player, one of the worst way possible to lose a final. He was forced to use stone edge, it wasnt his fault (or going for a waterfall flinch or crit, not very reliable stuff, I dont even know if that was an option, it depends on the Kyogre spread)
Waterfall flinch would be like what 70% chance it doesn't get flinched and knocks you out, I doubt it would ohko, Stone edge had a 20% chance of failure and unfortunately that happened. A shame that Pokémon decided rock type moves had to be this way because even in team building he had no choice but to use stone edge.
Given the OHKO on the Palkia, I'd imagine Kabutops was banded. I wonder if Waterfall would've been enough on that last turn if they'd gotten up rocks with Dialga.
@@El_Kanto kabutops was definetly banded and I'm pretty sure that with Rain a banded waterfall under Rain in that hp range was enough to kill bulkless kyogre (or at least it was very likely). The problem is that It clearly wasnt bulkless kyogre, so I really doubt that a single waterfall was enough. Stone edge was the safer option overall and unfortunately It was really unlucky.
@@matteoc83 Idk why but I I didn't remember the Kyogre still being at 55 % health on that last turn. Not even rocks damage would've turned this into a situation where you don't click Stone Edge then (252+ Atk Choice Band Kabutops Waterfall vs. 252 HP / 108 Def Kyogre in Rain: 143-168 (35.3 - 41.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery).
What an incredible case... at first I was like: "why the f is this random ytuber talking about gen 4 ubers? no one cares" then a couple minutes into the video I realized what a legendary moment this was for humanity. Kabutops really showing that no matter who you are, you can still triumph over the "main characters". Cool underdog story.
One thing missed, Deixys has pressure so ppe use against it is doubled. If he protect, stealth rock, protect then spikes ge could use up all water spout ppe
they took it with both hands i cant even be mad. The entire team played so well the entire tournament and lost coz of sheer luck but thats pokemon i guess lol
Like the dude above me said, that's almost all games. Even skill based games like osu! and geometry dash feel like gambling sometimes because regardless of how consistent you are if you get unlucky and make one minor wrong movement it can pretty much end an amazing score/run even if you felt confident.
(In bane's voice from harley quinn cartoon) "Yes ive finally gotten rid of rocks after taking damage on so many pokemon and lost my spinner but IT WAS WORTH IT!!!" opponent brings out 2nd hazard spammer "Fuck"
There's only two pokemon i trust to use Stone Edge, Machamp, and Lycanroc. Using Rock Slide is even a gamble as it has that weird 5% chance to miss and it do miss. Was neat seeing Kabutops.
How did Kabutops OHKO Palkia with stone edge from full HP? It didn't crit. I've done the calc and the maximum damage with choice band is 90.6%. Am I missing something?
So heartbreaking for team India. Honestly, was anybody surprised by the outcome of the final turn, though? Zap Cannon is more accurate than Stone Edge. I don’t care what the move descriptions say.
Using 2 turns to do a single thing in ubers is rough, especially when one is telling others what you're going to do. Ferrothorn is slow already and not the most specially bulky pokemon, it'll need to take hazard damage and at least two attacks to actually get something done. Sure you can predict but that is very, very risky

That was such a mean way of playing with expectations but I have to admit it did make me laugh
Fantastic game! Ggs to both sides, congratulations on your placement! You have nothing to be ashamed of.
Aha, I was about to say that this was the only time I would accept a clickbait title, but yeah. Ttar is non-legendary and was pivotal in the victory
Can't even be mad, Tyranitar is indeed a non-legendary
I thought it would be the Tyranitar who'd win the game ngl
I thought the joke was going to be you overexplaining the suicide hazards lead for 10 minutes
That’s just BKC
If it was BKC it’d be 2 hours long
He damn near did
BKC explains does not over explain. he explains exactly how much he needs and the other 50 minutes are talking about movies.
That's why he's the goat
Today i learned kabutops with out rain its kabutops
And kabutops with rain its still kabutops
Kabutops is my favorite pokemon since I was a kid. I was so happy to see this thumbail :')
*Kabutops looks in the mirror*
Despite everything, it’s still you.
without rain its just a kabutops
with rain it becomes Kabutops
@@brunoemf90great reference
with rain it has a chance to become KabutOPs
it was not the stone edge that missed that mattered, it was not the jirachi flinch war that mattered, it was the damn palkia crit that mattered
Crit spacial rend+jirachi speed tie loss+stone edge miss😭this guy had the worst luck imaginable
what high crit ratio does to a mf
“Unfortunate doesn’t even begin to describe my series”
LMFAOOO underated comment
I’d prolly have the same reaction as Lavos if I lost on the World Cup trophy over an 80% miss and getting crit to lose Dialga.
Miss or not, any wise player would have known it was a better move over Rick slide long term.
remember guys. in pokemon 70% accuracy actually means 70% chance to miss :')
Stone edge is 80% accuracy. This doesn’t matter but I am a pedant and must correct any errors I notice 😊

No it's just that to understand gen 4 ubers you really need to understand the harzard leads
In gen4 ubers, a choice band kabutops always runs waterfall, stone edge, low kick, and aqua jet. A life orb kabutops could surely run rapid spin.

Man, now I want a 10 hours video of freezai over-explaining competitive pokemon to fall asleep to.
Check out bkc, that's like his whole thing
Freezai bf asmr 🤤

not clickbait tho the winner was using a tyranitar
Ah, a tie breaker in the best meta of all times...

Lol gambling with confidence
