It was a Saturday, so he had already done two shows, plus stage door meets, *and* an NPR appearance. He spoke to me for twenty minutes after I told him that looking forward to the play kept me going while receiving chemo for stage IV cancer. He only ever broke eye contact when talking to the family friends who had got me backstage. He signed things, took pictures, and at the end of it all opened his arms, offering a hug. I went in and he squeezed back so tight and wholesomely patted my upper back.
I also notice how he puts so much thoughts into his answers really going through every single part of the question he's being asked, and his vocabulary is so amazing I feel so stupid whenever I'm listening to him talk.
He has access to a lot of ideas and information through his education and culture; for example, one can learn a lot through reading newspapers even once a week, listening to the radio (in Britain), or watching television (the BBC, Channel 4). I can't help but smile watching this entire video. As an Fi-blind individual, I absolutely _adore_ strong introverted feelers and how in tune they are with themselves. Tom Hiddleston is def not an exception - very charming and authentic! Also, I'm curious as to what personality type you think Chris Hemsworth is.
One of the things that you touched on but did not mention directly is the fact he is super intelligent. This constant thinking and analyzing and determining what is going to be next is an example of his intelligence.
Yes, it’s true. It’s interesting because on average, INFPs have the highest IQ for all feelers, and INTPs have the highest IQ in general, both of which are aux-Ne users. Moreover, ENFPs and ENTPs have the highest IQs for extroverts, and they’re also heavy Ne-users
When I was younger, I used to get a little ashamed of myself in hindsight. Now that I'm older, I just embrace it. On the whole, other people seem to react well to our personality type and see our thoughtfulness and authenticity as endearing traits--for those who don't, we don't really need them in our lives. As for Tom, I just find him lovely and delightful, so full of ideas and genuineness.
I’m not gonna lie, it’s so wholesome to watch you watch people with such joy in your eyes. It’s so beautiful to see people genuinely enjoy seeing other people just be themselves.
I always felt drawn to his energy and personality, and knowing Tom is an INFP makes me happy. You can sense he's very authentic, and the stammering and interrupting people to put forth/connecting ideas is very relatable as an INFP.
I never click on videos faster! As an INFJ this was fascinating seeing the differences of INFPs. We are both sensitive souls but also so different. I really do not have Ne at all 😅 is it weird that i wish you could watch videos of my life and analyze me?!?
I'm way too private for sharing videos of myself with anyone, but yeah, I too think it would be cool to be analyzed, if only so that I don't keep beating myself up over all my flaws and hear some positive things about my quirks for once. Edit: I think an analysis of another INFJ would do for me. Other INFJs always seem way cooler than me, anyway. :D
I think one of the biggest reasons (besides being gorgeous) is the fact that he’s an INFP just like me. In fact I’ve never seen someone so similar to me, I love Tom so much. 😊💙✨
There are moments in my 18 years of living where i forget how much i love Tom Hiddleston and it's videos like this that remind me. Thank you sir. Thank you so much
From one INFP to another, I think a reason he sometimes interjects or interrupts people is because he has such a feeling and perspective nature. So he feels in depth with the conversation and feels he knows what you’re going to say, which helps move the conversation along. Plus I know that a slight interruption is better than an awkward silence.
I knew the he’s gonna be an INFP because I can see a lot of traits in him too that I know from myself, such as getting carried away and restructuring my thoughts as I’m talking INFPs are so rare to find, that’s what I at least thought, but this comment section is full of them fellas 😂♥️
I feel so represented here. I always hated being so out of focus, stuttering whenever a bunch of ideas collide. Not knowing how to answer. It's so hard. I can't believe I never noticed how Tom is like that too, and I love that part of him. Wow, this actually made me look at myself in different perspectives. Just.. wow.
I can relate with being carried away when talking about something that interests me. Sometimes I don't notice until a friend tells me how I went from super quiet to enthusiastic 😅
Realized I am an INTP (rather than an INFJ) recently. After watching this video, i now better understand my attraction to an INFP like Tom Hiddleston, who can express himself how I wish I could emotionally.
Now it makes even more sense why my INFP a$$ has been obsessing over Tom and his incredible spark for years. He's adorable, lovely and extremely relatable ♥
The words you're looking for is ad lib. This requires one to think externally and internally and follow the progress of a conversation. Actors and comedians do this, the reason that Tom is so likeable is because he seeks to add to the conversation, and not to take it over.
That would be amazing if you dissected Aubrey Plaza! She has such a fascinating personality that I don't even know what it could be. Her on SNL is hilarious and i'm sure you would enjoy it as well as have the ability to classify her way of thinking.
I keep trying to convince my friends that Tom's an INFP but the only one who believes me is my INFP sister. But you've explained it in a way that's easy to understand!
Suggestion Eric. You should try to do debate settles for both real and fictional people(and videos on fictional ppl to in general). Here are the most debated that I know of: Is JK Rowling an INFP or INFJ? Is Naruto an ENFP or ESFP? Is Gordon Ramsay an ENTJ or ESTJ? Is Deanarys Targarrian (idk if spelt that right) an INFJ or ENFJ? Is Jordan Peterson an INFJ or ENTP? And many more. I know it’d be controversial but that would get attention!
Also Elon Musk - INTP or INTJ haha - fun idea! I don’t think those videos would do very well unfortunately on the channel but perhaps on the Patreon sometime just for fun! Or if one of them trends in the future! :). Thanks for the fun suggestion!
It's when i watch tom i really always react same way as he does, for example if he is emberrassed i get second hand emberrassment of the situation, and also i get lost and exited of topics that intrest me when i talk, it really makes sence we are the same personality type. And i talk a lot to myself and if i watch interweiws i talk like i woud be part of it and analyzize it, my friends keep it weird and annoying they dont keep it normal, i might mumble in class some parts of text and stuff like that and my friends make fun of it, but i'm glad to know that it is normal for some people and i'm not just some weird girl from space.

I’m in INFP as well, and have always felt so connected to him. This makes so much more sense- we share many common traits. Thinking and speaking at the same time. It’s the same way I write, just go for it without planning.
Wow.... The way he gets carried away by excitement is really relatable. That's why I don't really talk much! I always get carried away by a certain topic and just move onto that topic while others just awkwardly stares at me(sometimes). Tom is really lovely. And thank you for this amazing video🥰

This capability of Tom's to not just recycle the text but to attentitevly follow the conversation and expand on ideas is making the people around him feel seen and heard and vicariously it makes us allso feel seen and heard. I would love to have a convresation with that type of person that genuinly wants to hear what you have to say and to expand ideas withot any other motivation than to enjoy that meaningfull conversation.

"INFP" Me along with all other INFP's: Ladies and gents, we scored Edit: tbh I forgot to say how I always thought my energy kinda matched Toms but now it makes since.
This is awesome! My question is, over the years, I think Tom has become more closed and careful with what he says. In fact, he has shun interviews where he is asked to do impressions. And of course, we all know the impact of his widely publicized personal relationships have had on his attitude. I wonder if personality traits change with your life experience. Thanks!
I think this is Tom’s inferior Te kicking in as he gets older and more mature, and, as you rightly point out, as he has come to recognise that as a very public figure, allowing his Fi to entirely take the reigns can be somewhat divisive and/or embarrassing for him, or can lead to people getting the wrong idea of him. Regarding the impressions, he has commented that he’s not an impressionist, but rather an actor. I think that’s telling; giving in to doing them all the time was leading to it being expected of him, when, as an Ne user, what he really wants to do is discuss his ideas on acting, on his characters and on human experience as a whole. This has meant that he’s using his inferior Te to, in a sense, keep himself in check. This is common for INFPs as they get older. While a person’s type - ie, their specific set of preferred functions - doesn’t change over the course of their life, the way they behave on the surface often does to some extent due to experiences and the maturity that naturally comes with age, as they learn to develop and more confidently use functions that are weaker.
This explains a lot because I've had a lot of bad experiences with people reacting badly because of my Si and my Te is working most of the time to stop me from embarassing myself. It's so exausting! The world is really not ready for authentic feelers. I feel bad for Tom. Hope we can stop caring for the cynics of the world and just be ourselves.
What a nice INFP analysis video! Love Tom! Also, as an INFP, this is an incredibly validating and affirming. Now I understand even more why I start a sentence without really knowing where I'm going with it and tend to talk in run-on sentences, and that this is okay. Thank you! :)

He's not a "legend" yet, thank god. He actually might become a great actor and now that he's got a million in his pocket, he may yet decide to take the Art of Acting seriously. Many can play the piano; not many can make you want to listen to every note.
@@charlesdavis7087 yeah but I've seen a lot of actors with less talent and capabilities who become more famous and wealthier than Tom! One of them is Chris hemsworth!
I RESPECT all of them But nowday true diamonds are in theatre ! Not Instagram! which is full of time wasting celebrities!
Sorry for my grammatically mistakes, English isn't my native language
@@charlesdavis7087 but I like your perspective
Me, an infp watching this: finally, my favorite activity. Analyzing (myself) my mbti.
Also, that whole thing where we can’t stop talking/interrupting/ being excited about a particular subject its so interesting. It feels like watching a slide-show of ✨feelings✨ about the thing and the outer world literally blurs away. 😂
😂😂😂
"Let's think more deeply"? This is very INTP of you Eric. I love it.
As an INFP, I really respect the way you analysed our cognitive functions using Tom with so much respect! It's unlike some of the other usual ways we INFPs are being described as. I love your sense of admiration towards Tom and you successfully made me gain confidence to embrace my 'INFP-ness' once again.🤭 Thank you and you've definitely gained a subscriber!☺️
Yess 💗

I can't help but smile watching this entire video. As an Fi-blind individual, I absolutely _adore_ strong introverted feelers and how in tune they are with themselves. Tom Hiddleston is def not an exception - very charming and authentic! Also, I'm curious as to what personality type you think Chris Hemsworth is.
If there’s one thing we could probably all guess about Chris Hemsworth, is that he is definitely an extrovert in some way
Cillian Murphy would be really interesting personality to analyze.
would love this
Yes, petition to make a video on it !!
Yes, do it! :D Is he ISFP?
Co-signed!
Absolutely.
1:49 has a crocodile as his wingman ---- chris predicted croki
too funny ! had to thumbsup this. genius xD
I've been waiting for an INFP video for so long! So as an INFP, this feels like a present for me hahaha
🎉🥳 just for you! :)
I love being infp and at the same time I ashamed of it! and always I don't know how to express myself. seeing tom doing it make me hopeful.
@@kristinewalberg2938 thank you Kristine for sharing ♥🙏🏻
Yes!! I feel the same about being INFP. It’s a bit of a love-hate lol. But love so much that Tom is also one.
try writing out ur emotions, then using them to tell people how u feel.
I’m not gonna lie, it’s so wholesome to watch you watch people with such joy in your eyes. It’s so beautiful to see people genuinely enjoy seeing other people just be themselves.
Hiddleston is precious. I imagine he is super comfortable to be around and totally happy to geek out on anything
That's what I want too!!!!! Please please please....
Tom Hiddleston is the best.
He is such a gentleman.
And loved by all.
Thank you so much
Just randomly watched this video. Last week I said, “Tom Hiddleston seems so authentic,” thanks for this. I’m a fan.
From one INFP to another, I think a reason he sometimes interjects or interrupts people is because he has such a feeling and perspective nature. So he feels in depth with the conversation and feels he knows what you’re going to say, which helps move the conversation along. Plus I know that a slight interruption is better than an awkward silence.
the stimulation is getting weird, i’m an INFP and an Aquarius just like Tom
Me three.
u won at life 😩
I'm an INFP as well but a Pisces. I just love Tom Hiddleston so much 😍
Me too & his birthday is literally a day after mine.
SAME !!!!
I knew the he’s gonna be an INFP because I can see a lot of traits in him too that I know from myself, such as getting carried away and restructuring my thoughts as I’m talking
INFPs are so rare to find, that’s what I at least thought, but this comment section is full of them fellas 😂♥️
Just.. wow.
💙💙
Chris Helmsworth should play Capt. Boomerang.
A koala army
I'm so glad to see an INFP analysis. Do you know of any possible INFJs to analyze?
Cate Blanchet is one I believe
Zendaya was analysed as an INFJ..
Listen the big red arrow pointing to Tom is totally UNNECESSARY like this man is all i’m looking at when on frame. Great vid ✌🏻
With practice I think you can! I’m an INTP, and I’ve noticed I’ve gotten better at that with practice! 💙
@@EricWen I think my own interest in acting is to learn how to express myself openly emotionally in a safe space where the emotions aren't "real."
That’s how he is. He was born perfect ❤️
You know he's genuine too coz when he's excited or embarrassed you can see him blushing (which I had not noticed before until now lol)
Now it makes even more sense why my INFP a$$ has been obsessing over Tom and his incredible spark for years. He's adorable, lovely and extremely relatable ♥
Yay it’s Tom!! Definitely Fi dom vibes, what a cinnamon roll
The words you're looking for is ad lib. This requires one to think externally and internally and follow the progress of a conversation. Actors and comedians do this, the reason that Tom is so likeable is because he seeks to add to the conversation, and not to take it over.
I can’t believe your channel is at 33k, you deserve much more recognition, your content is so good 😍
Thank you so much Zuza :) my time will come!
That would be amazing if you dissected Aubrey Plaza! She has such a fascinating personality that I don't even know what it could be. Her on SNL is hilarious and i'm sure you would enjoy it as well as have the ability to classify her way of thinking.
I haven't even watched it yet, but and I scrolled to the comment (Lord knows why) and I was immediately attacked by triumphant INFPs 😂😂
I keep trying to convince my friends that Tom's an INFP but the only one who believes me is my INFP sister.
But you've explained it in a way that's easy to understand!
Suggestion Eric. You should try to do debate settles for both real and fictional people(and videos on fictional ppl to in general).
Here are the most debated that I know of:
Is JK Rowling an INFP or INFJ?
@@EricWen yesssss do Elon Musk!!

I would love a video like this about Benedict Cumberbatch or Cate Blanchett. This video was really great! :)
Related to Hiddleston, could you please do an analysis on Loki considering he now has his own show??? ❤️
Tom just seems so sweet and genuine
this video is awesome!! i would love to see a personality breakdown of harry styles!!
Hi Eric ! An INFJ here who loved this video and your content in general, it's always very well-thought. After watching this video, I think you could be really interested in the singer AURORA ! I think she is a very interesting personality to study. Speaking of people who "get publicly swept away by their feelings", I've never seen anyone so comfortable and unfiltered, while being very quirky and adorable :)
Will look into her!!
@@EricWen people always think she is an infp
....she is not.
This one would be really good, I'd love to hear what you come up with !
i want to be someone very famous and celebrated now just so you analyze me
Btw I love tom hiddleston so much♥️

He’s a beautiful confident generous actor. And every comment I read on him says he’s a fine actor and a genuinely nice guy! What a great thing to say about anyone? Being a woman I can add, he is extremely sexy too. So smooth.
I absolutely LOVE how you explain things
Thank you!
Definitely get as an INFP. More extroverted than what people assume out of an introvert but still in my mind and interpreting.
Fun fact, william Shakespeare is also listed as a INFP so I guess it fits him prefectly
me, an ENFJ, seeing that Tom Hiddleston is an INFP:
yep so I guess that's why I have a HUGE crush on him
Giiiiiirl, you and me both sister. Since Thor 1 back in... When was it? 2011? Damn you, Tom!

Same. ENFJ here and I gravitate toward INFP. 🤍
Very relatable as an INFP too. It can also be a bit embarrassing for me cause I feel I wasn't staying on track 😂
It's so lovely that Eric still likes comments in this video even after several months 🥰

- Dominic Harrison (a.k.a. Yungblud)
- Melanie Martinez
- Ariana Grande
- Harry Styles
- Aurora
In case you see this, you’re great, I love your videos!

This made me love him even more🥰 he’s so adorable
ohh myy goddd you were noticing and explaining his behaviours and i felt like you were explaining mine xD i lovedd this !

Please do Richard Armitage, I've always been fascinated by his personality. His focus is authenticity too and he has such a calming and mesmerizing presence. He is very vulnerable and very strong at the same time.

Me along with all other INFP's: Ladies and gents, we scored
Edit: tbh I forgot to say how I always thought my energy kinda matched Toms but now it makes since.
The way you explained it so precisely, I loved this.
Okay I love this guy more now.
INFPs rock, we do.
Thanks!
I still get second-hand embarrassment whenever his De Niro impression clip comes up loll
as an infp this makes me so happy. also, could you consider doing an analysis on eddie redmayne, i think may be enfp or idk
Thank you! :)
I am in love with how you analyze people. I do the exact same thing and I actually thought Tom was an INFJ. Hm it's very interesting, I feel like watching everything again
Ugh i relate a lot to Tom! The other day, a person did something that bothered me a lot and i immediately felt my mood switching from happy to devastated. From being funny, upbeat and talkative, i became quiet and serious. The switch was so apparent in my face, people asked me if i was okay

i'm such an introvert that i thought that "introverted feeling" was like... what everyone else did? lmao
But i love how this vid made me understand why sometimes i felt like in interviews and such other people seemed a bit umconfortable around tom or like saying something off-putting and i guess thats because is not something very Hollywood-like to actually be so open and disarming the way he is

@@CallmeOzymandias sure! sorry taking that long
but like, you know when you eat something really good and you know it is that good bc the person who cooked used this ingredient or made it in some way? or that when you eat something bad and throw up, you are like "yeah, its bc i ate that thing"?
