The same thing happened with Sergey Lazarev for Russia in 2016. He blitzed the public vote but the jury gave it to that terrible whiney Jamala song. And Keino in 2019 won the public vote too. The public pay for the voting so they should decide!

His song took the number one spot on Spotify, beating Tattoo and is played in charts all around Europe. Tattoo isn't. Loreen won the Juror's vote with a safe 'technical' song. Kaarija's charisma, energy, performance and personality is infectious! There's a reason so many people come back here, why so many are making cover versions and why we're all watching videos about him SINCE Eurovision. The only other people I've done that for was Sunstroke Project (Moldova's Epic Sax guy;s band) and Alessandra (Norway's entry this year). Trust me, Kaarija is going places after this.

As a person from Finland it would be so fun to see the audience being really into this perfornance/song. I love moments like that in Eurovision, one example would be when Italy's Mahmood performed "Soldi" and it sounded like the audience was clapping along with the claps in the chorus

I dont know why everytime I hear him sing "Enkä pelkääkään tätä maailmaa (I am no longer scared of the world). " I get little choked up. Maybe it is the fact how finnish people tend to be so introverted but this songs feels like a anthem of courage. No need to be scared, just go out there and Cha cha cha. 🖤🤭

@@egyptianhibiscus9203 Sadly yes and that is true for many finns. I would guess that is one of the reasons this song hits home for many even more. It brings up an issue that is very real. But just the same, as someone who doesn't drink at all, I still connect with the lyrics. ☺

Only "message" this song brings is Finns messed up relationship when it comes to alcohol and getting wasted at the bar/nightclub, and how culturally accepted that is in our country.
