It is still a beta so I give it a brake. But sure, some things will remain different, ET was/is more stripped so it is more competitive in that way. DB will have more bells and whistles on it which is a bit harder to balance. Anyway, it seems like the guys found their way now, ETQW was ok, Brink awful but DB is the closest to ET so far.

It has been played even recently, obviously activity has dropped a bit :) there was a LAN earlier this year and late last year too. You can check the casts on my youtube channel, they are normally uploaded within a couple of days of the games themselves.
please help me. I installed the game and EVERYTIME I join it says some files are missing... I think you should know that my internet connection is very slow: 99ping/sec, 0.75mb/sec downloading, 3mb/sec uploading.
+mC. Troll_Zebra The server you are trying to get on, is modded, has extra maps etc. Your internet connection doesn't have much to do with it except for waiting.
+reverb2max Nice shots indeed, but back in the days when this game was widely played you would see the top players shoot like that constantly. mAus or Reload would practiclly shoot more headshots than bodyshots.

+Alling Agree but Dirty Bomb is the new E.T. Try the open beta as you (at least me and my gang) got that old E.T: feeling in it.

+LLiivveeeevviiLL It's been in beta for like 3+ years - it is not listed as early access on steam so officially it's on full release.

There is ton of servers. Mostly with bots during the day, but populated in the afternoon. :)
