Hello, I use to play this game back in the day. I was curious why Covert Ops never use smoke grenades. We used smoke to conceal an advance. I'm not sure why they don't use.
I think what pros use covert ops is to satchel charge command posts etc. I'm not fully sure, but smoke grenade uses full charge of the covert ops charge meter and it takes like 30 sec to come back fully in ETPRO mod they play on. Smoke is also quite situational, as it is slow to start blocking the view
et "died" cause good players got better and noobs stayed the same. and they didnt update the game. like blizzard entertainment added paladin and death knight, riot games removed 1v9, etc. they did figure out how to inflate/minmax trackbase TSP rating tho :D dunno about splatterladder, didnt play competitive back then yet but did follow my rating tho. but yeah :D that was the end of my journey with et :D

Bro this brings back so many memories, its such a shame it never got a propper sequel. This game was way ahead of its time.

They should make competetive play 10 vs 10 or 20 vs 20 , actually I think the server room was 32 max ? Objectives per map are pretty big.
