I just found them today and this will be a forever kind of love!
If you don't what this song is about, I went to one of their concerts, and he and his wife got into a bad car accident, and stranded in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful voice and impactful voice
The video is actually directly referencing the near death car crash Wesley Schultz (lead singer) and his girlfriend had. The video where in the actors playing the couple are shown are portrayed in that very moment in which they are experiencing the crash. (Hence the universe shots at the start) Hence they are seen to face each other but more importantly seen surrounded by the car parts. And thus the lyrics 'Where we are? I don't know where we are, but it'll be okay '
And lastly they get up from thier chairs and embrace each other, as if to show that final I'll always love you before the moment is over and they experience the impact of the crash.
However thankfully Wesley survived and here he is with a masterpiece.❤️

Another soothing masterpiece. Lumineers have taught me the value of life, the problems of life & solutions too. It also taught me it's okay to love & hate at the same time I found this band at a worst part of my life but it helped me a lot to make it better now Thank you so much for making our lives better & hope everyone is going to have a great life ahead wishing everyone luck to be the best of one ownself.

Imagine listening to this as you walk in the woods on a dark rainy evening following a trail with fairy lights. Crickets in the distance. An ocean near by. Him on your mind but no longer in your heart
So many references to cars and accidents in this whole album… like it’s about a relationship that feels like the moments before a car wreck, trying to figure out where to go from where you are.
Wesley and his wife were in a bad car wreck a few years ago and that was part of the inspiration for the song. At their concerts he tells the story how people at the scene were literally crying cause they thought he and his wife had died in the wreck and couldn’t believe they survived.

What makes Lumineers special is that all of their songs have a soul. None of them are written just to be a hit. If you try hard enough you can find that most of the songs have a backstory and a meaning. Way to go, all artists should express like that, not just write for the sake of being a big singer.

Great video and amazing they both survived in real life. I'm also a fan of "The Young and the Restless" so it's awesome to see Cait and Rory, aka Tessa and Noah, in this too.

I don't know how The Lumineers do it, but in every single video which depicts a female character, I always relate...to the words, the emotional elements, everything. I've been Cleopatra to Gloria and I keep evolving, yet finding myself in these songs! That's pure brilliance when it comes to songwriting and production...to have the ability to pull one right into the midst of it all! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😘

A very special man introduced me to this song. Thinking of you and our river, lake walks.
He wrote this song after being in a car accident a few years ago with his wife. He said the car rolled a few times, it made him realize just how precious life is. So true!

Witnessed a rollover crash on the way to work this morning. As soon as I saw what was happening and saw the car rolling right at me, I noticed this song was playing....and was exactly at the line, "crashed the car in Arizona on the interstate..." An eerie feeling for sure. Felt like an out of body experience. Sending prayers to all involved today.🙏

I have yet to hear a Lumineers song I didn't love. Each and every song they put out has soul and I find myself listening on repeat often.
This song gives so much hope. "Where are we?" Has been my dominant feeling since the start of the pandemic ans hearing the chorus say, " where we are, i dont know where we are, but it will be okay." Is haunting and beautiful. Truly thank you

Yes. Wesley experienced this with his wife ig 10 years back. He tells this in first live performance of this song.
@@yeissonpinilla1730 they are literally holding a photo at the end of them on a crashed car. Not sure if they've found a car that's been crashed or are on a car they might of crashed??
@@yeissonpinilla1730 They went to rent a car for a trip but once they drove the car they know something is wrong with the car. So they tried to drove back to the rental store and the car goes faster and hydroplaning causing the car to flew off the road. Wesley remembered that his wife screaming "Oh my god! Oh my god" when the car crashed and flipping violently. People driving by stopped and approached them while crying and frustrated thinking that they both died. They both survived with a lot of bloods on their heads. I think the "where we are, I don't know where we are" is when the place is looking different when all the car parts are around them. I read this in the description of this song in Spotify.
Good song, I always remember the "Eloise" and "Ho Hey" positives energies of this songs.

The Lumineers isn't usually my type of music but have an interesting sound I like. BTW, the couple in the video are actors currently on The Young & the Restless soap opera. The woman (Cait Fairbanks) sings for real & has a folksy vibe.

The song “Where We Are” by the Lumineers has a tempo of 123 BPM and runs in the B key and a major mode. It is in my opinion quite a moody song and in the genre of alternative folk. The words that are used in this song have so much meaning and soul behind them, that they create such a vivid emotional story for the listeners. The song’s chorus is applicable to any experiential moment and is strangely comforting. Which also allows me to relate to the words and emotional elements. In every one of the Lumineers songs there is a story and or meaning behind it, which gives so much life and emotion to anyone listening. In my opinion I believe this song is a masterpiece and doesn’t get the hype that it deserves.
