X Japan is the greatest band you have never heard of. In the 80's and 90's they were THE band in Japan. They sold-out the Tokyo Dome 18 times, Capacity 55,000. Yoshiki, drums, composer for X Japan is a god in Japan. If you are interested look for their Last Live videos, any one will do.
Considering that they disbanded for 10 years in their prime and lost Japan's greatest bassist and most charismatic guitarist, it's amazing they are still so damn good. Just imagine . . . If things hadn't gone wrong . . .
X-Japan is something like Japanese metal royalty. Even before i started listening to J-Metal i had already heard about X-Japan just through word of mouth. Apparently they were just that big over there.
out of all genres and out of all countries my favorite band is NEMOPHILA. But yes, I'm a fan of metal and a fan of Japan. And as the result I'm a fan of J-metal) The only thing disappoints me sometimes is that usually when people react to this band they mention Mayu's amazing voice, high skill of Tamu (the drummer), insane talent and hard work of Saki and Hazuki (the guitarists), but overlook Hara-chan (the bassist). Being a bassist myself I can assure everyone that her playing skills are extremely high. Every single time when I listen to their songs I do enjoy her bass lines. They are absolutely flawless.
Went and checked your channel - So my 2 favorite bands - Japanese all female - Band Maid "Puzzle" live, they are currently on tour in the US. Lovebites "Swan Song" with Chopin Etude. Both bands write all their songs.
Love this cover! They are the Queens of covers. My #1 favorite is Lovebites, then Nemophila and Whiskey Dust are tied for #2. Whiskey Dust is a Japanese Hard Rock band that brings you back to the sunset strip era with the likes of Skid Row and GNR and such. Then Trident is another great Jmetal band. The list is long for Japan and is a deep are amazing rabbit hole to go down.
