The grand finale of the Villains Unleashed event at Disney's Hollywood Studios on August 23, 2014 was the Villainy in the Sky fireworks show conjured by live action Maleficent.

I will never get over how flawlessly choreographed Disney fireworks displays are. Logically, I know it's because they spend big money to achieve the effect, but I've always thought music and fireworks should complement each other, not fight for dominance, and Disney always manages that.
That might be one of the very best fireworks displays I've seen at Disney. Wow. Just amazing!
Maleficient is one of my favorite Disney villains and the firework show is amazing 😉. I enjoy 😊 it so much.

AHmazing, dramatic and I got chills! I want to see this in person! Nobody does fireworks better than Disney. The colors, it's timed to music...so good!
Finally some Hunchback of Notre Dame back at Disney World. I love it!
Hellfire is also used in the Dream Along with Mickey show when Maleficent comes out on stage.
I love that they used Hellfire! It's one of my favorite Disney songs and it goes perfectly with the concept of this firework show.

The song that played after "To Die For" wasn't "Hellfire" but the musical montage of when Esmeralda is being burned at the stake.
What a spectacular fireworks show! They always have great shows at Disney World. Totally amazing! :D

I personally prefer 2014 Maleficent to 1959 Maleficent, so I'm glad they used her. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the original depiction of Maleficent, but the new depiction is better.

Can anyone give a list to all the songs used? I know I heard the lion king, hunchback, pirates & so forth, but it would be really cool to know them from start to finish :D
Toccata and fugue (Bach), A Night on Bald Mountain (from Fantasia), I can't recognice the thirth one, the following is Jafar's Hour (from Aladdin), The Stampede (from Lion King), Hellfire and Sanctuary! (Hunchback of Notre Dame), Blackbeard's Entrance and something from first movie (Pirates) and ended with the Pirates theme.

Now this lady as Maleficent is much better than Angelina Jolie. Her lips are not as big as Jolie's. She more like the animated version.
+Mackenzie Ferry She IS great! I have seen this Maleficent only one other time. For the opening of Maleficent (the movie), they had a special after hours meet and greet with her. It was during the Memorial Day weekend of 2014 when they kept Disney open for 24 hours and only a select few people got to meet her. The clip is here on You Tube. While I do liked Jolie's performance in the movie, this woman is incredible and also pulls the role off very well. I like her just as much. It would be great if they did a regular Meet and Greet with her. I would definitely want to meet her. This opening performance and fireworks display was spectacular.
I have one question to everyone who is good and hates the evil... does thou fear Maleficent? I hope not, since thou should know of Maleficent's story... that poor fairy. She didn't deserve it.

Movie Maleficent is only at certain events. The regular Maleficent in the parks is still a default. But to be fair the regular Maleficent at the parks resembles nothing like her in the original film too.

I personally think the change is good. otherwise you get a not so well done green makeup with an over bulky costume. the new way looks better
