The man who has everything, meets the man who needs nothing
Sometimes I feel as if something inside of me has reached a state of satisfaction and peace but my mind is still seeking outward like an object with inertia. I feel as though I just want to sit in the woods and chill, but my relationship, my interactions with the world around me insist on propelling me toward goals and future accolades. It creates a painful kind of dissociation within me.

❤ Same i am in similar state. My heart is satisfied and learned to lean on God but my Mind says, do this do that or else you will lose time to do things in time. So i am kind of Juggling both.
After High School i realize how foolish it was to buy things to be "cool" like clothes and shoes. Its been 10 years I could careless about the material world. peace within myself is my only goal.
One old Twilight Zone episode featured a guy who kept winning every time he gambled and came to realize he was in hell.

Spot on! I have a desire of having a lot of money and having financial freedom at the same time it feels like the pursuit takes me away from my spiritual nature.
Damn this sounds like me foreal. I grew up in the ghetto in Baltimore City. Raised by a single Mom and 2 younger brothers. We lived in a 2 bedroom apartment and when I was 15, we moved to the county to live with my Grandma. We still weren't rich though.. I think wanting to be rich, stems from growing up without it. Also.. I don't want my 2 little girls to grow up the same way that I did. So far they aren't.. now I'm not sure what my spiritual path is, but I do know that I'm aware of it being there. Good luck to you on accomplishing everything you set out to accomplish.
The realization that I have to die someday kind of ruined the whole materialism thing for me. Tough pill to swallow
@@tracemagace8434 why though? Do you have children? If not.. your perspective on that may change. Before having children, I really didn't care about dying. I still thought about it every now and again.. but now that I'm the sole provider for 2 little girls, I wanna be around until they are grown atleast.. the thought of them having to grow up without me and the thought of me missing out on seeing who they become, is terrifying to me!
@@tracemagace8434 yeah that's definitely crazy for an 8yr old to say lol. My 10yr old daughter is petrified of dying! She realized it when she was maybe 8? And it had her crying pretty bad. My 8yr old daughter really doesn't worry about that stuff foreal. I'd never want my kids to go before me though.. not this life or any other ones. But thank you for the reply. I do appreciate it!

This reminds me of when I use to talk with people that were in grossed in one religion, they only wanted you to go their way. It is best to keep an open mind, then you are like clay, moldable, and not like cement, set in your ways.

I thought I had some control in my life, and I realized I’ve been control by so many things even your own body, ego, feelings, disires and the mechanics of the mind can work against your well-being, and the awareness that’s aware of the experience is suffering 💯
On the outside I feel old and tired, but the inside does not reflect. I feel like it can only keep getting better!

I guess im one step ahead when it comes to material wealth. Im 25 and have never really cared for material things such as nice cars, phones, clothes, jewelry & even money. Those things to me aren't important there's far more important and bigger things in life than the material world.
What would you say, are 3 things that are more important?
@@MattGatts the main thing for me is knowing who you truly are. Not identifying with the name your given. Loving yourself & being at peace & happy. I get joy from reading a book, drawing or just being in nature. To wake up and see the sun rise or gardening. The closer u get to nature the closer you get to your true self. knowing that we are all one with nature. We are all brothers & sisters.
Truth is like a great nail that pierces all things. the lies will be shattered, but the good will be held in place.
I don’t desire material possessions all that much. I do have a nice truck with an expensive monthly cost. The only reason I have it was because of my old job in which I drove 200 miles per day. Anyways, I am starting a new job soon which I’m not really excited about. I would love to move out to the desert or somewhere remote. The only real reason I am trying to make money now is so I can do that and live off of very little after the initial cost. Do you think I could go about it all differently? I know there’s no one size fits all but I am open to suggestions from anyone. I’m 50 years old and I’ve been working hard my whole life. I’m not a lazy person but I’m just not motivated to work super hard anymore.

I think having money and also being a more conscious person is possible. Most of them are nutts though which makes us think money is evil. There’s another stigma around how if you’re woke you gotta be broke. 😂 Something like that. But money is like air. I’ve been trying to manifest money so I can fix some outer circumstances but I’m also aware how I want that so I don’t have to feel the pain of not having any. So I just balance it. I want my physical experience to be somewhat comfortable and if I have the power to match the vibration of money which really is freedom and security then I will do that. I think it’s totally okay to have one foot in desiring and manifestation and one foot in heading into the eye of the storm of your fears and the shadows so. ❤

I’ve been watching a lot of osho videos and it is blowing my mind at his level of awareness , he is next level being , then I watched his video about “I’m leaving you my dream “ where it shows his body after he passed , and his whole satsang was there and it moved me to tears , beautiful this connection we have to all beings . My currency nowadays is Love . It’s the highest value.

I was given a large inheritance as i turned 18. Way more many than i knew how to spend.
I ended up spending alot of it on self love and self care stuff.
I could feel the karmic nature of money so strongly. It was around the same time the girls of my dreams were making themselves known to me.
I genuinely felt like the universe was testing me.
And somehow, i was so used to this weird game, i perceived it as a test immediately.
So I dodged the girls politely, and spent the money on food, interesting stuff, weed and doing interesting stuff with my friends at the time.
I'm 24 now and I'm so glad I did what I did.
Now I've got only a little bit of surplus money, for safety, and that's all I want, I feel more comfortable that way.
The energy that I gave off at university, spending money so easily, so lovingly and so counter to our scarcity mindset, made it all worth it

Poignant topic in the current world economy of consumerism.
People need to adjust their vernacular. Stop wanting to be “rich” and thinking that the way to get everything you want is by making as much money as possible. When all you want is money that’s all you get or don’t get. It’s a self inflicted, all consuming disease.
imo You should want “abundance”. You should hash out what wealth looks like to you. When you imagine being in the fullness of abundance you need to “live”in it. Not just the idea but imagine an entire day if you lived in that world. The world where all your needs and wants are fulfilled. Pay close attention to the emotions and sensations. Hold that feeling and try to bring it with you into your current reality. If you’ve connected to your true self, in any way, you’ll probably start to realize that most of the stuff you think you’d die to have is unfulfilling. Your goals and aspirations will shift. If you let the real you to wake up and participate in the vision you’ll likely start to think about how you might be of service to others. If you let your human ego do the driving your desperation for earthly things will become the bane to your existence.
Struggles will turn into challenges. Problems will turn into lessons. The lens through which you view the world will color how you experience life. You’re here to experience and learn. Anything worth having needs to be earned to be appreciated. That just my 2cents worth.

I liked this one. Curious your thoughts. I went through a health problem and lost everything but i relieve it was a purifying process. It felt like I was literally going crazy as all my desires were no longer obtainable to me. After a time of surrender I felt so free and pure. Like I was just an energy open to experience. I feel far away from that place now because I’ve been seeing a few different girls and I realize now it makes me feel less pure because I’m following desire again have a confliction of thought in my mind. I find that confliction of mind is what takes us from awareness. Trying to navigate this middle ground

Our notions of happiness entrap us. We forget that they are just ideas. This idea of happiness can prevent us from actually being happy. We fail to see the opportunity for joy that is right in front of us when we are caught in a belief that happiness should take a particular form.

What we here in india call " alakshmi " exactly opposit to real wealth.
Money must be treated as bridge or medium to cross to next level. In giving needy and hungry we actually gain unimaginable peace, bliss and divine grace.

The good people haven't discovered their dark side yet. Normally they just projectile it unto others because they can't face it. This creates karma, especially when their subconscious is actively looking for scapegoats.

Im right now in my early twenties, studying on university. Had a lot of health problems, operations during my chilhood and puberty. Now im trying to take my life with a bit of ease, i dont make a scene from every bit of problem that Arises in my path. But my parents are the biggest oposite you can put me in front of. especially my dad, made a lot of money in his early 20s and 30s, now he is 52, and i feel how much is he desolated and broken from the money dream, but he is still trying to live it, trying to push him self and to his surroundings that lie about most important thing in life “money”.
I cant find peace in our house, never felt like part of it, everything feels like is more important than you. Because it has its own “price”
I dont know how to tell him that you can try everything in life not just doubleing your money.

Would you agree at all that the main feul for our desires is the avoidance of painful repressed emotions? At least after we have recognized our conditioned beliefs around achievement and status (or any other that may drive us to attain anything beyond our body's physical needs). At that point, would you say its just us trying not to look at and deal with our shadow (repressed pain)
its that and also “life is desire”. we have to wake up from the strong lure to satisfying our sense pleasures and see through it by actually going through it.
@spiritualrenaissance I think from my own experience i agree. There is sometimes a sense that a desire is not just a distraction, but there is something in the mind that REALLY wants to experience it. I know it is also a distraction, but not one I can just drop so easy and go back to giving attention the repressed pain. So maybe avoidance of pain is usually the "fuel", but sometimes we also really want to experience the distractions we're attracted to for their experience alone. I think I worded that good enough lol
how do you transition from just "knowing" that these desires wont fill the void to actually believing it, especially if you cant fulfil them?
going through the process of wanting, suffering, getting the desire, feeling great, then not so great, then back to wanting....and on and on... until eventually you start to be able to see the whole chain of cause/effect happening all over again and at some point it will start to click that this is running in circles and then also you will start to feel the sense of peace that is always within you even when you don't have the thing your mind is telling you it wants.
When you start to go to war with yourself you'll notice how crafty your own mind is for getting the chemical cocktails it wants.
I quit drinking coffee which is an addiction like any other, when my brain really wants that coffee it'll try to bring up memories of guilt, shame, powerlessness to try and bring me down so that I give in and get it what it wants.
It's very predictable how it behaves and eventually you can laugh at it because it is sad.
It's not just your mind, but your body as well. You will get bad headaches sometimes when you go through caffeine withdrawal. I need to cut back myself homes

This was 1000000% my exact journey! Having every desire you can imagine fulfilled in abundance, financially, sexually, etc., and I realized this exact same thing. And here I am, now a forever seeker and FINALLY back to square one loving life like a kid again 😌🙌🫶😉❣️
