BYD EVs have an extensive range of voice recognition controls that can be used to control the vehicle functions you mentioned were hidden in the menus on the screen plus many more, including audio system, windows and sunroof screen to mention a few. It’s one of the most refined and extensive systems I’ve ever seen.

I absolutely love mine. Had it since October covered just under 8k. Performance is good, range excellent, looks good and nice interior. I've had a cupra born, EV Niro, and mg4. Much prefer the dolphin in all aspects. Mg4 dealership back up was shocking!!! Oh and make sure byd change the tyres! Bin the ling longs 😂

Thanks for sharing Peter! Glad to hear the BYD Dolphin is going well for you, I had a limited amount of time with it, but really liked what I saw.

I am owning the 2023 model and I am very happy with it. It is not perfect but so cheap here in Thailand (aboutGBP 19,000). I use the lowest regen setting because braking uses regen (more than 100 kW).

Awesome, thanks for watching and commenting. £19,000 sounds a great price, shame BYD can't make it that cheap here.

@@theinterfacecars Cars from China got special import conditions in Thailand. Thailand also want to convert its car manufacturing industry to EVs and offers special conditions for companies which will invest in Thailand. As far as I know, BYD, Changan and CATL will build factories in Thailand. GWM is already here. They bought the factories of Chevrolet which ended its business.

To point out - you can also swipe on the screen with three fingers up/down to adjust fan speed and left/right to adjust temperature

Can I just point out the regen braking on the BYD cars engage when you press the brake pedal, they don't have one pedal drive. Using brake pedal engage the regen brake and if you slam it harder it will use the actual brake from the car. They design this by purpose because some people don't like one pedal drive.

Awesome, thanks for the tip! - This was the first time I have driven a BYD car and it was only a first look. Thanks again 👍🏻

You mentioned torque steer but based on other reviews I think that's likely to be the lane assist.
