Very nice video. I have no idea about this knot. Useful in tatting work.thank you.
So nice of you. Thanks for watching ❤️
Thank-you! Thank-you! This is the clearest video I’ve seen and I think I will remember this one when I get back to my loom ❤
So glad you found it helpful!
Great video. Definitely the best explanation and method. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching ❤️
Thank You! Beautiful video. The video is perfect! No doubts anymore 👍🌷
Glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching❤️
I used this knot to add some wrap to my project, works wonderfully! Although I did it using the crossed loop on the new warp, already passed that point and it worked! So glad for the information ❤
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching!
Whats the difference between this and a square knot?
The main difference is the short leg of the "old warp" (the right hand) crosses from the bottom of the "new warp" loop to the top. In a square knot, both legs of the yarn are on the same side of the loop. The crossing helps lock in the yarn. I've posted a picture of both in the Community section of my channel page ruclips.net/channel/UC1cnggjdKp3dTJW2cSWVhuAcommunity. Thanks for the question!
This was very clear on how to do this knot. I have a question. I crochet with thread and wanted to know if this knot is as strong or stronger than what we call "the Magic knot"? I like the size of the weavers knot because it's smaller. Thank you.
I'm glad you found the video helpful. In answer to your question, I believe the "Magic Knot" is stronger, but as you noted, bigger than the weaver's knot. I'm not sure how strong a knot you need in crochet, but I'm thinking that the weaver's knot might be "strong enough"? 😊
Thank you for your reply. With your feedback I think I'm going to go with the weaver's knot. It's smaller and I figure if it's strong enough and holds for the weavers, it's going to be good enough for me. Again thank you for the video, you showed a very simple way of doing the knot. @@tangledwebsweaving
Great tip ! Would it work the same way with acrylic yarn for crocheting ?
Thanks for sharing 😊
It should work with any yarn that isn't super slippery. The nice thing about this knot is it's smaller than the Magic Knot a lot of crocheters use. Thanks for watching.
Thank you❤
You're welcome 😊 hope you found it helpful.
Sorry, that is not a weavers knot. I was a weaver, and this is definitely not a weavers Knot. But there Is a knot called a double weavers knot. And this still is not it!!!!Sorry
I realize there are different ways to make what people call a weaver's knot. This is what I learned and use. Thanks for watching.
@@tangledwebsweaving yeah more ways than what I was taught. Mine was a zip to make. It had to be fast and strong. Being a weaver you had to do things fast. Thanks for replying. Have a great day!
