I had a bit of a laugh when you were taking about tapping the bolts down, and you went BANG BANG really firmly😄😄 a great explanation of the shuttle race and how to attach it, thank you for the video. Cheers!
I’d love to see a photo of the shuttle race installed & used on the 7-cm Jane loom being used on the stand. Is there anywhere I can find this? I don’t live near any store that carries Louet looms.
May I strongly suggest not putting the reed or the top of the beater on until the end. Both landed on my foot while I was putting on the race. Other been asking for a race for quite while and now Jane is finally complete. THANK YOU LOUET
Question for those who installed a race to their Louet Jane. I am having a heck of a time tapping in the square bolts. My bottom beater part had circular holes for the square bolts to go into. Should they have been square? Does anyone remember seeing this when they installed?
@@slimysara7618 Hello, The round hole is correct. The bolt you have is a carriage bolt and the square part is intended to get pulled into the wood so that the bolt does not turn. Look at the video - at 2:14 I talk about this and how you have to “tap” the carriage bolt into place. Take not of the use of a solid table - I explain this in the video.
Unfortunately no due to the changes in the beater. The kit replaces the bottom beater bar and that will not fit on the Kombo. In theory, you could drill the required holes in your Kombo to make it fit, but we have not tested that and if it doesn’t work, you are stuck. Hope that helps

I was on the fence about purchasing a Jane 16 shaft, but this just sold me!
So, will this kit ever become available for the 40cm Jane?
Unfortunately no, the 40cm size is not planned due to the size. However if there is sufficient demand we can re-visit the idea in the future.

Please make a shuttle race for my 34” table loom too! It would make a big difference!
Hi, the widest Jane we make is the 70 and that is 28”. Shuttle race is available for this loom (that is 28” weaving width)

Can the shuttle race be added to a Kombo 70 4+4, the precursor to the Jane?
