He is pretty much underrated. When we mention guitar players, Nuno should be up there along Van Halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Brian May. I think that Nuno and Extreme were out of luck for the fact that their best album (3 sides to a story) came to be at the very end of the hard rock/hair metal thing (you know the one that Nirvana and the grunge thing knocked out cold).
Nuno was my dad's favorite guitarist and I bought the guitar you are playing for him for his birthday the year before he died. This video is like a blast of nostalgia
Yngsatchvai I agree. Gary can sing. Their music was just not pop enough except for those two acoustic songs which I still like very much. I always though nunos funk groves were such a breath of fresh air from all the other shredders.
WOW!!!!!!!!! Nuno has said that Van Halen was a huge inspiration to him throughout his life and the parallels between Nuno's solos and Van Halens solos really show themselves here. I think there is a classical influence in both of their playing. Their not just pentatonic shredders, they put thought and feel into their solos.
Wow. Amazing. Nuno is one of the most unique players in history. My favorite was your take on "Rest In Peace"... It seems like an easier solo than the rest, but the expressiveness and phrasing with which Nuno and you play it, make it the best.

Looks like you're playing it all up higher, and it might be (slightly) less insane. Tempted to give it another go.
