Hearing their new single “Rise” has me back listening to my entire catalog of Extreme albums, I still can’t believe my ears when I listen to Nuno play, both for his chops and the amazing arrangements. The album III Sides to Every Story remains my favorite of all time, though individual songs on other albums are equal or better the whole approach to composing that album - especially those final 3 songs - blows my mind.

Amazing playing and it was an absolute pleasure to listen to you flawlessly play all of these solos! I've been a huge fan of Nuno since around 1994 when I first saw Extreme on a VHS copy of their Freddie Mercury tribute performance. Amazing playing, sir! In 1996 I found Waiting for the Punchline at a CD store and I loved every song but I was unaware of any of their other material. I was on a beach trip with my family in 1997 and we stopped by a thrift shop about 2 hours after we left home. They happened to have a few CDs and Pornograffitti caught my eye. I immediately bought it couldn't wait to get back in our car and listen to it on a Sony Discman I had with me. I put the headphones on, put the disc in the player and pressed play. I will never forget hearing all of those riffs and leads for the first time. Truly indescribable and a life changing moment as far as guitar playing for me. I had a Zoom 505 pedal and a Jackson guitar I brought along and spent most of our beach trip in the motel room trying to learn parts of those songs. There is nothing quite like the first time you hear Nuno's playing on that album. You did an incredible job, man! Keep rocking!

Watching this video I got excited: back to my memories of when as a boy, many years ago, I spent my days trying to reproduce Nuno's solos in detail, just like you did (at the time there was no youtube, so I had to do everything by intuition and "ear"). You are really good, technically very prepared, grasping even the smallest nuances typical of Nuno: I can see how you too have deeply analyzed the wonderful solos of Nuno. My compliments!

Absitively, Posilutely Friggn Phenomenal. You were like the ghost of Christmas passed and You just took me back to my bedroom at my parents house and I saw my (I’m 49) 16-17 yr old self, fiddling with my first guitar and listening to Nuno and just knowing I would never be able to play like that. Then as the solos went on I saw myself getting older and still practicing in my bedroom. I saw my guitars change from one to the next. I heard my mom calling me down for dinner. I saw myself sitting in my bed sweating like a slave from the lack of AC. Oh man, THANK YOU so much for this. Seriously. Oh By the way, I still can’t play like this.🤘🏾😣🤘🏾
