He got class, so well disciplined, knows how to sell the fights and yet humble and grounded. Truly the greatest of all time. Even with out boxing Ali could make a name for himself and people would still love to have him around but with boxing he changed the world as we know it. Truly a global icon.
Ali had the charm and charisma to back up everything he said. It’s fucking mind-numbing to see somebody of his stature move like a featherweight, and throws straights like a heavyweight; his most iconic phrase about bees and butterflies wasn’t an exaggeration in the slightest.
I was vacationing Pennsylvania near Ali's camp last year and I always wanted to see it, so my son's and I took the drive out there to check it out. What a great experience! Turned out that there were a couple guys there, one of them was one of the owners of the Camp. He and a few others purchased & saved it as it was sitting basically abandoned with potential to slowly decay and rot away. At time of our visit he said they were just getting ready to open it up for visitors, such as myself, interested in seeing it as well as other boxers and/or children events ...like Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts... to come spend time there...etc. But anyway he gave my boys and I a tour of the grounds including this main training room we see here on video. They did a wonderful job of preserving everything pretty much as it was or used to be... or at least the best they could. There are numerous very cool, interesting little extras or surprises. The original huge wooden table that was in the cabin where Ali and everyone would gather to eat is still there. I got to take a Ali's seat at the table. Ali's original personal cabin still in same spot. Huge Boulders of various sizes (some of them the size of small washing machine, others the size of a small elephant) are all around the camp and along part of the jogging Trail, with the actual original hand-painted names by Muhammad's father, (who was a well-known painter in Louisville) his father painted the names of many legendary boxers of Ali's time on each one of these Boulders sort of it as a respectful nod and honor from Ali to the other greats of boxing. They also have a photo of Elvis & Ali together hanging on the wall to honor their friendship. It was hanging on wall approximately in the location of where we see Muhammad and Dick Cavett standing by the punching speed bag here in video. Interestingly enough I met Rahaman Ali, Muhammads Brother, a few years back and he was talking about some of the great icons that Muhammad knew and he (Rahaman) actually mentioned Elvis also. He spoke about what a great guy Elvis was and how much he & his brother Muhammad respected Elvis. ... The things you learn. Oh and there's also a another original cabin on site that they restored and turned into a a place that honored Ali's spiritual philosophies and journey. When walk inside there's a nice short, thoughtful video playing and it's a place where anyone visiting that wants to, can sit and relax, pray, meditate... whatever. Just like Muhammad himself did at times there. Recommend anyone ever traveling near that area to take the drive to check it out if interested in Ali
Cavett handled him pretty well. He seemed much more nervous with a lot less threatening guests, but if they were really close friends in real life as some comments mentioned, maybe that's why.
I have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rarities much like the other Dick Cavett ones.

I feel like he should have lost to Jimmy Young in 1976 fight shavers and Dunn then avenge the loss to Young and become a 3 time world heavyweight champion in early 1977 and retire after the Young rematch no Norton trilogy and he goes on to Hollywood and has a successful acting career maybe become a 3 time Oscar winner
@Just think Cavett was actually always Into fitness . This was all fake he said . He actually could jump rope etc . Ali and Cavett were actually best of friends .

Hey thx for this comment!
Awesome
I absolutely fell in love with this channel, but I wish that it would upload full-length versions of the interviews, alongside the clips.
At 3:30 Muhammad Ali gives advice that he doesn't follow himself lmao XD
Hahahaha, I like to think that it’s dangerous for any boxer other than him. His taunting was great.
Mohammad Ali the legend!
Too bad that none of today's boxers can be anywhere near as entertaining as Ali was!If he hadn't been a boxer,he could have been a standup comedian.
He was!!
Mike Tyson is pretty funny
Tyson is an excellent story teller and a fascinating historian of warriors and boxers.
@@crabtrap yeah to an extent.

Imagine how rare and epic would it be learning how to box from Muhammad Ali. Ali as your trainer, oh god id fight anybody anyplace anytime afterwards.
Great fighters don't make good trainers.

'that's surely amusing' lmao telling Ali your joke was not funny. I enjoyed that.
Why do they post this short clips of ali i can watch him for days without sleaping
What else you got?
Nothing that you can handle D.
Ali said he had an opponent that looked like Frazier. He once had a guy in a gorilla suit come out crouched over throwing left and right hooks.
Yeah its the other clip. Search ”Dick trains with Muhammad Ali” and you’ll find it
3:30 ironic

you can tell they didn't get along much. but they respect each other.
then check this out: ruclips.net/video/MjDhb3tlq1w/видео.html
I wouldn't say they respect each other, but they both respect Muhammad Ali.
They do get along, Ironically I just watched an interview of Dick talking about his friendship with Muhammad Ali on Late Night with Seth Meyers
You're clearly not a good judge of character, or you're blind. These 2 were great friends.
Me in any sport.
Ngl, I thought jump ropes were older than that

Feminine fello😭 Said by Ali hes like I mean nice fello 🤣
Cavette was an ashole little man syndrome prick
nuh, he was trying to keep it entertaining...a comedian... and work with Ali's sense of humor... There's no way you can deter or talk over Ali...
Niall Coleman projecting much?
Really? Going to give you benefit of doubt and assume you're a troll or being Sarcastic!
This is fake. Cavett and Ali were best of friends .
Cavett was very honest and a good sport about his height, wouldn’t say he had little man syndrome.
Love Ali but not his adopted false religion.
