      I assume gear temp would be trans oil temp.
      My Fiesta ST doesn't show trans temp so best to check with your local Lufi dealer.

    Interesting to learn the details, I have one of these, just noticed as soon as you plugged it in there was a beep and it was “on”. Does this mean they use battery power even if the ignition is switched off? If yes can I set the device to be completely off when the car is not in use..?

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  2 года назад +1

      It has a constant power to keep memory of your settings but that would draw pretty minimal power while the car is off.
      You can select in the setting to turn off automatically but again, it will still have the constant power, just like your radio does.

    its say "searching protocols" then shutting down, how you can make it work on ford?

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  Год назад

      You have to set it to universal and not brand specific.
      It also only works on post 2006 models I think.
      If you still have issues contact your local Lufi supplier.

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  Год назад

      Its all standard software, they should all have a boost reading. In the setting you can change which gauges show on screen and can change boost between psi/kpi. It will depend on what make and model of car you have too.

    Do you need to plug the ACC lead in to stop the battery dying?

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  2 года назад +2

      No you don't, it has an auto shut off around 10 seconds after you turn the car off. It is a setting you may need to adjust manually the first time you use it but for me it was already set.
      The accessory cable was something to do with use on "older cars".

      @@roguetrooper1000 I too was disappointed to find out the oil press and temp weren't read but that is Fords doing I suppose not the gauge. It's handy having AFR's and intake temp though. Full boost and the AFR's reads 11.5 which I think is right on or very close to where it us supposed to be for Revo stage 2. Boost is disappointing only seeing 22.5psi. There is a way to adjust it I think but I haven't played with it yet.
      Someone sent me Forscan logs of their Revo stage 2 and it logged 22.5psi but that again could be an OBD thing.

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  2 года назад

      The best advice would be to contact the local Lufi dealer and ask them.
      It is possible that in the settings, it is set to a particular vehicle such as VW, Nissan, Mazda and you may need to change that to universal.
      There is also a chance the car is too old. I'll check but it may be for vehickes from 2006 onwards.

    Do i think it will work in a 97 mustang gt? It has an obd2 port so I dont see why not... beats buying different aftermarket gauges

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  2 года назад

      The ad for the one I bought says suits most vehicles after 2008. Does the 97 model definitely have an OBDII port or a different style/version OBD port?
      I'd suggest getting in contact with your local seller and ask the question.

    How to update it?

    • @fordyford

      The micro usb if it is the same as mine should be in the top. The micro usb has the firmware data on it.

      @@fordyford Hello, seller told me that is latest, upgraded model without SD card slot, but with usb port.
      Also one more question, did you noticed that engine oil temperature reading, is lower than water (coolant) temp?
      That is impossible because oil in engine is always higher temp...
      Thanks on Your answer.

      Glad you got an answer about the USB/Memory card.

    Does the odometer mileage reset every time you use it? Or does it keep track of the mileage between sessions? Also, can you manually set the mileage to match the car's odometer?

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  2 года назад +1

      It doesn't read mileage, just speed.
      If you keep it plugged in, it will have a constant power, like your radio, and keep any settings you set.

    • @fordyford
      @fordyford  2 года назад

      It all depends what the OBDII port shows which all depends on your car make and model etc.
      The gauge itself has features set aside under "user". If your OBDII port shows something not pre-programmed into the gauge and you can find it, you might be able to show it under one of the custom user windows.
      I don't know how to use those features yet.
