    Nice! I purchased on in June of 2019, Changed slotted rotors, painted my brembos red, HP tuned, RPM motorsports charge pipes, and intercooler, with ZZP catless downpipe. I also painted the Bowties black, center piece in the OEM rims black and blacked out the head lights with LED lamps and Fogs. Keep up the nice work> And I detailed it to show room clean. It will never see rain Again lol

    I had a 2008 HHR SS, full 3 inch exhaust, downpipe, new ZZP intake and upper/lower turbo pipes, blow off valve that swooshed, and a killer tune.
    I used to whoop ass on most cars, it was very fast off the line if you get the launch correct. People couldnt believe how fast it was. Brakes suck so you need the big brake kit if you wanna go fast on the regular.
    It was a fun car to drive, like a go cart almost. Then I got a Camaro SS 🙂

    Looks like my 2010 HHR SS... I sanded and spray painted the factory wheels. HP Tuned, Performance Autowerks upper charge pipe, Timkin Hubs, DPS Motorsports performance downpipe with , of course, Brembos… I still need to get the blackout headlights and making a larger front air lip and adding front struts.

    I had a 2009 race red, manual with Brembos and red/black interior. It had upgraded clutch, down pipe, charge pipes, intercooler and it was the first stock framed upgraded turbocharger from BNR supercar with a Trifecta tune. I also had custom lw wheels, peddlers springs and the smoked GM headlights off the Shadow edition with the black LED taillights. Screen name on HHR forums and Cobalt SS forums was HHRSSouth.

    Bitchin ride. Love the black wheels. Mine is silver on black and I blacked out the SS badging to match the black headlights, black wheels and IPCW black led tails. Sleeper status. Hauls butt and groceries. Keep doing what you're doing. #respect

    Landon...Thank you for promoting the HHR SS. I have had two of them myself. My first one was a 2007 LT with the southern comfort package on it . I had that one for 10 years, and it was a show car with 107,000 miles on it. My present one is a 2009 SS AA5 (1/2 Panel). This has all the performance toys GM offered for 2009, It is one of 199 made for 2009, this one is #99. It is a 5 speed. This is now a show car with 45,000 miles on it....also still has the original tires on it. Thanks again ....Southern Comfort (HHR Forum).

      Nice sir! Bit late to the party here but you got yourself a sought after ss! I didn't realize how rare these hhr ss's were until i scooped up a blue flash metallic 2009 one myself. Made me dig around, had no clue they made well under 10,000 of them!! The panels being especially rare only having maybe a couple hundred built each of the 3 years they produced these. Mines an auto thats at 137k not nearly as clean as it could be.
      Have plans for the little wagon.. i dig these!!!
      Hold onto yours my friend, ss panels are gonna be worth some $$$ one day, nevermind the fact they look so fabulous!!
      I pass by a black one everyday on my way to work as well they are definitely still around!

    You should highlight the two performance features the manual transmission HHR SS has! (1) You can turn OFF the Positraction and toggle ON a LAUNCH CONTROL mode that gets you off the line faster and with little wheel spin. (2) You demonstrate the "No-Lift Shift" but didn't explain what it is. This engine in the 5-spd version had more HP/cc than any other production American car in 2008. The turbo ecotec engine redlines so fast that it's scary. You'd literally blow the engine in this car if it didn't have a rev limiter! The "No-Lift Shift" uses the rev limiter to limit the revs as you upshift gears. This means that you can keep the pedal to the metal for the entire upshift sequence and just stab the clutch when shifting gears - you do NOT need to lift your foot from the accelerator while shifting - a BIG Deal!
    The HHR SS has a special Nuremberg Heavy Duty Suspension that makes the car hold control in the corners extremely well. On the track in Nuremberg, the 5-spd HHR SS is rev-limited to a whopping 155 mph, despite the 140 mph speedometer. If anyone wants a kick-ass FUN car to drive, go out and buy a HHR SS while you can still find one`. There were very few built and at any time you might only find 3-6 HHR SS cars on the market in the entire USA at any given time!, So it may take you a year or two of constant observation to locate a nice one, and you may have to fly out & drive it home. But it is WORTH IT! (Mine is a RED 2008 HHR SS 5-spd cruiser!)

      Visibility if you're over 6'. Seats are way too high. Timing chain guides and tensioners go out between 100-140k miles. Mine had 225k when I sold it and really only needed a clutch slave cylinder, timing set, and one battery. They're good cars, and parts aren't terribly expensive.

    I've recently decided that I can no longer live without one of these once my old faithful 2005 Focus ST daily work car finally gives up. I love weird stuff, and I MUST have a car that's engaging and fun to drive, it doesn't get a hell of a lot weirder and more fun than these things at a price I'm willing to pay.

    • @landon390
      @landon390  4 года назад

      Landon Kupfer As long as the old Focus survives til I find a black stickshift HHR SS with under 75,000 or so miles, it's a done deal. That could be a while, but it still runs like a top, so I figure it's probably happening.
