Future reference. @ 4:21 that hole in the frame rail is a access opening to the bolt head to the tensioner. Racket and a long extension. No need to drop the side shield 👍
I been driving 2011 hhr since 2015 I drove for Lyft and let me tell you if you do your own maintenance you LL save money parts are cheap and gas mileage not bad it's a 4 cyl but not any mayor problem other than suspension and tune-up I bought it with 56000 on 2015 now on December 2019 I have 159900 miles and strong of course am an easy smooth driver so it's my advantage unlike those people who b press metal to the pedal they always pay extra money for their cars
Subscribed. I've been looking for a hhr ss manual. I've been in between a 2002 to 2006 wrx Impreza. But they are about the same price as a hhr ss with way more miles. The awd is what is giving me a hard time with my decision with living in Michigan. How do you like your hhr? The hhr seems like a nice sleeper and dad car which I do have a one year old kid.
hobojoe thanks man! Yeah I love my car. All of the drivetrain is Stock still and everything is functioning perfectly with highly recommend going for a test drive in one!
Hey Landon:) shojay(Jason) here, I hope you are doing well. Hey question, have you attempted to do any exhaust work on your car yet? Are you still stock? I am thinking about upgrading to a 3 inch exhaust including a 3 inch downpipe all from ZZP(I'm assuming you have heard of them). Just curious is all. Removing our exhaust looks pretty straight forward and I was just wondering if you have tried it yet. Thanks buddy if you have any insight.
@@landon390 Thank you for responding☺. Lol I was going to say the same about the ZZP tip, I don't care for it either. Umm no I do not plan on going catless only because I think it will make my car too loud and I am afraid that my car will not pass a New York State inspection. I am currently looking at the ZZP 3 inch catted downpipe on their website. It is supposed to he a direct bolt up to their 3 inch cat back exhaust they sell for the HHR. So I was wondering after reading your response, have you removed your exhaust and downpipe? Basically I am looking for an opinion if our downpipe is hard to get off🤤. If I remember correctly, your car came from the state of Michigan? I can imagine the rusted bolts you may have dealt with. Thanks for any insight buddy and it was awesome hearing from you.
I love my car. I've had it almost 2 years. But it's becoming a money pit!!! So far, I've had 2 oil changes, replaced the front shocks, and the starter. My serp belt broke several hours ago. And now my car won't start. My driver side handle broke about a month ago.

Is this too advanced for a beginner?

ShoJay92 Go for it man. Personally not a fan of the tip on the ZZP exhaust, But it’s a very straightforward process. Are you doing a catless downpipe?
