Don’t trade this car man, I love the series so much! That mustang just rules, it would be amazing if you modified this 65 mustang doing a track setup. Like upgraded coilovers, some better wheels and tires, maybe a roll cage. You said that maybe you would have swapped the 302 for a bigger engine , but honestly right now it sounds just glorious. I think every project car has that feeling of stress when you first get it and look and notice more issues with themselves. Just like my 52 Dodge Coronet 😂, but I’m not giving up on it. I’ve spent so much time and videos of it being changed around for a while now. Even when problems occur that’s one of things with owning a project. They aren’t meant to be reliable but they are sure meant to bring you joy in the end…
I really enjoy the way you present the work being done. You show the steps but not every bolt, making the work look very doable by anyone with a wrench but not making it look deceptively easy. I'm loving this but in the spirit of the challenge it seems you'd do best to repaint and trade up! You're gonna shrek the original budget and goal if you shove more money into it!

Here's a tip for you...If the car is misfiring the AFR sensor will show a lean condition. If you richened it up so much that it started missing there's your problem, cruising, idling and part throttle AFR should be stoich 14.68 or as close as possible. Under boost I'd target 12.0. You can get away with 12.5 but 12.0 gives you a little safety margin. Do a test, start the car look at the wideband, then pull a spark plug wire off with insulated pliers while it's running and see what it does....It'll show lean.

When bleeding brakes, just open bleeder and use your fingertip as a valve and just pump until no air is coming out. Way easier and faster. Thanks for making these creations, so damn jealous 😅
Or an old 20oz or liter soda bottle and some clear plastic air hose that's cheap at almost any hardware store. Been using that method for decades no issue

Almost every pro-billet, unless it’s a whale of a car, or bone stock engine… Always run the largest bushing (black) and the light blue/light silver spring combo as a start. Idea is to run as much base timing as possible and the biggest bushing, to have the least amount of advance by the distributor… All else fails, lock it out set the max timing you want, and put the ignition on a toggle so you can get the engine spinning without spark… 👍🏻
Bolt on some more speed parts, improve the car some more and do a trip or event video then start over again on a new project car. This was another good and informative video 👍

We had a couple 65 Mustangs when I was younger. My best friend traded my dad a 52 gmc for our stang. we put a 302 in place of blown up 289 was pretty quick 0-60 with a 4.89 gear after that Grandma's Chrysler turbo mini van would blow by us lol.
I don’t know why you plugged those automatic transmission cooler lines. Just leave them open. They’re not gonna let anything out. It’s a sealed system. Only transmission fluid goes through there not coolant so it won’t leak. It’s literally gonna be an air pocket either way.
If he wants to use the cooler function in the future it works best not full of dirt and dust and other shit in an engine bay. On my track car I use it as a power steering cooler.
I think it's time for a paint job and maybe wheel ( probably just tires) maybe a couple other cosmetic repairs or upgrades and then trade it for the next pos to start a new story.
