When I got closer I seen that there was a big yellow sign in the front and it was a code enforced CITY VIOLATION. so I knocked on the door and no one answered so I went to the neighbors yard and this is what happened!!

I’m trying to figure out why the neighbors, knowing she had a stroke didn’t get together and help. She must not have any family to help. Thank you so much for your kindness. God bless you!
Ikr neighbours are the closest thing to a family when family aint around
Don't you just love those have nothing else to do but complain type. They both know he's had a stroke and I presumes is incapable and they just want to call the county to eventually sue and evict.
@@1987FX16 that bugged me so much, like the poor guy is already likely to have fines waiting for him when he gets out and his neighbors are just going to cause more trouble. Even though yes it’s not great to look at they’re just going to make more problems
Exactly.
People are too self involved. One of the neighbours should have cut the grass.
It's a shame the neighbors all knew the guy had a stroke but didn't care enough to come over and take care of the poor guys yard. Thankfully there are people like you
Neighbors just aren't like to good ole days. My husband had a massive heart attack Oct 2017. I then had a spinal tumor 2 years later which left me paralyzed from the breastbone down. Not one neighbor made contact to see if assistance was needed or just a simple bowl of soup or a casserole. We've made due. Our yard has gotten a little taller than we'd like but it all works out. Point is, old neighborhoods are not what they use to be.
My neighbor ended up in a mental ward. For 18 months I mowed , weeded, fertilized and seeded the yard. I figured it benefited me as much as him. Then the house went up for sale im glad I kept up his yard.
I thought that too. I know my life is busy but I feel like I’d be compelled to help.
Many homeowners are not cutting their own lawn, they pay a lawn service to do it, not defending a lazy neighbors, just saying. Personally I don't pay for something I can do myself, I enjoyed doing mine even in FL heat. Al, great job, I hope you left some business cards with neighbors, future Vero Bch customers, who knows, words of mouth is pretty good marketing.
@@rejeanpaquet9249 How is it that every American home has just a big empty yard no flowers ec . It looks all the same and empy af. If you yard is to big for you why not just get a smaller on thats easyer to manage .
I'm a Code Enforcement Officer and I've seen this all to often. I've even paid to have people cut lawns to help older people. This guy is great hope he gets 100 new customers for what he's done....
Mike Daniel quote "I've even paid to have people cut lawns to help older people." Well thats mighty nice of you. Good Karma also comes back to you, enjoy your good luck!

When my grandma had a stroke and we were busy with her at the hospital her neighbor stepped up without even having to ask and kept her yard up. Its so important to have a community to look out for one another❤
I'm a bit saddened that the whole neighbourhood has perfect lawns, but nobody thought of helping that poor person who can't do it themselves anymore...
But you can't realistically expect neighbours to do your lawn for you for months. It's just a sad situation
🥺🥺🥺🥺💪💪💪💪
Guess an hour every couple of weeks is too much to ask of a neighbor.
Not only that, but they know he had a stroke...now I don't know maybe the guy was a jerk or what..but no one was concerned about if he had family or if they were doing anything to contact the city of the owners situation...like it would be nice if someone said it was being handled.
Most people don't care about other people! He did a awesome job though!
After a month of noticing my neighbors lawn wasn’t getting cut regularly, we cut it without asking. Both were elderly and new something must have happened. Neighbors should just be neighborly ..just saying
My elderly parents had a neighbor with a riding lawnmower & after he did his own yard, he would ride across the street to my parent's house to do their lawn, too. Never said a word. Just quietly did it. I'll always love that man for that. Good neighbors are a treasure.
AMEN ‼️❤️❤️
I have always done the same and I don’t have a riding mower either. Where I live now I always cut the house next door on both sides. One of the neighbors always ask to borrow my mower and when I said no the gas tank came up punctured. I have since purchased a shed
I mow about 2 acres and uts nothing like that and it takes me 3 hours with a rider. Then when the neighbor needs help I go over there. Hes so happy he goes in and buys me 5 gallons of gas
lately I like to play a mental exercise and imagine if it had been a black person doing this. I think he's doing something really amazing but I don't think I as a black person could create the sort of content because I would risk my very life if I were to try.
Aww that is so sweet! I gives me hope that there are still good people out there 😊
Neighbors know owner of the house had a stroke and is in a nursing home. All neighbors allow his lawn to get overgrown, and complain about it being over grown. Either owner of the house is an a-hole or the neighbors are a bunch of a-holes. Good on you brother for stepping up.
I couldn't agree with this comment any more!
There was a time when neighbors would do for others without being asked. You looked out for others because you knew there might come a day when you might need help too. It was called community.
The neighbors are elderly and no doubt retired, they probably don’t even own a lawnmower and pay for a weekly lawn care service for their own homes.
L
My thoughts exactly! My neighbors and I would have been out there taking turns mowing the lawn and trimming the hedges. If you know your neighbor had a STROKE, why wouldn't you care enough to help out when they really need it? Seems like a crappy neighborhood with selfish people all around.
I really have to wonder what’s ever happened to neighbours helping neighbours. All those perfectly manicured lawns.guess those days of being neighbourly are long gone in majority of areas. Thank you Al for your kindness and generosity in helping those in need! You’re a true angel! 😊❤️🇨🇦
That neighborhood looks good, not like they're hurting for money. I hope all the neighbors aren't all the same. AL, you and AP have hearts of Gold. God bless you.
I have neighbors just like this. My husband passed away a year ago. I had a lawn cutting business do our yard, but he kept jacking up the price. I had to tell him not to come back. After all the years we have lived here and my husband helping neighbors with many yard work related jobs, NOT ONE offered me any help. I finally found someone to do it, but he didn’t do it near as nice as Al does these. Most times it looked pretty bad. I just found someone that knew my husband and he said he would do it for the rest of the season for FREE. He just started yesterday, and it is beautiful! I am very happy ! Never count on neighbors for help.
You are right Barb. People don't help others. It's shameful. I'm sorry about your loss.
Yeah, I think most neighbors are like this. They could have banded together and shared the cost of a yard renovation, but nope, they let their neighbor go down in flames. It's people like Al who make the best neighbors.
The people in this world especially the United States have become very self centered. But since covet hit people have gone overboard in that area and have become major introverts 😮😢😢
The same thing happened to my mother after my father died . All the neighbors who my dad had saved them big mechanical bills on their automobiles for decades just sat there and never offered my 82 yr old with arthritis mother help with the yard or shoveling the sidewalk even. This was in a small town in Canada where they tell you the small towners stick together and help each other blah blah blah. Its not just a big city thing; that attitude has trickled down to the towns in North America.
Como os terrenos são grandes e bonitos.
So let me get this straight: All the neighbors knew the person had a stroke and was in a care home. They whine about safety, snakes in their yards, "think of the children!", but no one even bothers to cut it or at least find a way to contact the next of kin to offer help? I'm 49 and I've lived all over this country. Sad to say I've personally watched the whole "being neighborly" mantra sink lower and lower. These videos are a prime example. Thank you for caring when others who should don't. 💜
You are so right. If people truly cared they would have put a little more effort into the problem. The guy said he didn't know much more about the neighbor other than he thought he had a stroke and was in a home. I can't believe they mowed right up a against the neighbors yard do precisely and just ignored the rest. So many options other than just letting them get a ticket and potentially a fine. How neighborly.
Boomer generation is the worst at helping others.
I agree
@@drfirechief8958 That looked so petty, too! You're right there. Can you not just cut a little more? Very sad.
And how many times did he let him know "I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY"..then asking 50000 questions...😀
I’m a 71 yr old lady. I still mow and trim my own yard, and when my neighbors are away on vacation or broken a leg, whatever, I go ahead and mow their front yard while I’m at it. It’s just a few extra minutes, and they would do the same for me.
Thats nice :’) 💙

That’s about an 8/9 hour job.Beautiful thing you’re doing for that family. Thank you Al!
You put a whole "community" to shame. Thank you for caring and for doing something to help those who couldn't do for themselves.
The 'community' didn't mind someone else cleaning up as long they made no effort and no money came out of their pockets. Sad. You're a good man for doing this, be proud.
What a community. No compassion. You see I am in a similar position. I had my riding mower repaired and it would have been fine except they bent one thing and now the bellt won't stay on. A pastor took it to the shop and brought it back. He has since moved away and I have no idea where he took it. Before you judge me, I paid my way. I am 79 year old disabled widow who walks with a walker.
@@nonishearer4126 nobody should judge you they should help you
Same thing I was thinking. They could of all got together and paid a company to help out a neighbor.. You guys rock❤️
@@tbirdsteve1 I agree. Community just waiting for someone else to do the work and pay for it. AL you are doing great work and I appreciate what you do. The neighbors you spoke to just pissed me off. Their property value is at risk and yet they do nothing. My neighbor lost her husband and it took all of 30 additional minutes to mow n clean up her lawn when we did ours. As neighbors we should help or be open to help when ask. Don't sit back and do nothing when it directly affects your community. Like others have said all pitch in and hire someone or better get the neighborhood kids to do it..pay them n feed them.
Sad that everyone wants to complain about the property, threaten to call the city but no one wants to help there neighbor, who has fallen ill, out. Would it have been so hard to ride your mower over there before it got crazy?
Thank you for helping this man and his family during this hard time.
Looks like an elderly neighbourhood, I bet they pay for their own lawn care.
If it is an older neighborhood they probably all have their own problems and are probably lucky they get their own yards done. None of us know what is going on with their neighbors. They could be sick or not allowed in the sun. That tractor the lawn guy has is great. I have a Jihn Deere but I dont think it is that powerful. Have a great day everyone

Yeah know one cares
My thoughts exactly. Eager to complain, but not eager to help.
The neighbors had the most to benefit. Amazing how none of them offered to help. If I lived next door, I would have just slipped over and mowed the neighbors yard periodically especially knowing their situation with health issues.
Absolutely!! Me too! I love to help out those who live around me.
That is not a garden more like a small park would you honestly have spent at least half a day mowing a nd tidying most affluent people pay a gardener especially in that sort of area
Those who only serve themselves are miserable people on the inside. Not to mention the Lord takes note.
They looked pretty elderly they probably pay someone to cut the grass
LOVE THI NEIGHBORS! NOT IN THIS CASE !!! 😣👎
I never thought I would be watching lawn care videos, but you make riding that mower look like fun. You have a heart of gold for providing these services for free.
These neighbours are crazy, my dads neighbour broke his leg so my dad mowed his lawn for him while he was recovering without even asking. That’s just what you do for your neighbours!
Great job 👏🏽
Well, you should never be going into and doing things in your neighbor's yard without asking. But I'm sure your dad and his neighbor had an understanding.
My neighbor brings their dogs and poop in front of my property 😔 some neighbors are not nice 😐 I don't say anything to avoid conflict..
So you just assume some elderly pensioners have the equipment to take care of a jungle lawn like that? 😂😂😂
This neighborhood appears to be a Senior living neighborhood~ don't just assume they are bad neighbors because they didn't keep up this persons yard. Maybe they can only afford to pay to have their lawn taken care of....maybe the owner of this yard is now in a nursing home fighting to stay alive. We don't know the circumstances as to why this yard got as bad as it did...
Don't judge what you have no clue about.
Yes they are!! sound like he look down on this young man..
I will also say it is disappointing that neighbors don't look out for one another, but not one neighbor seeing all Al & AP's work over 2 days, never came out with bottles of cold water to offer you guys. That speaks volumes!
If they've all lived there for a while, and so close to each other, why don't they know each other? Al, you and your friend are awesome people.
Honestly if it was me id assume those who do this type of work carry their own cold drinks. Literally who doesnt do that?
There was an old old lady that lived alone in a house on our street & every time the lawn needed mowing or the sidewalk needed shoveling all the neighbor guys would get out there & take care of it for her. They didn’t have to but they did it for her because they knew she couldn’t do it herself. That’s what good people do for their neighbors. ✅
God bless you all
Good for all of them! I became widowed with an infant and the only person who helped me was the 85 year old lady next door who became my dearest friend. But she would try to mow and shovel my driveway. I would have to throw my body in front of her to stop her. There were young family men all over our neighborhood, as well as people with teens. I take care of myself and I didn't expect anything out of anyone, but it's pretty sad that nobody even offered. And now, 20 years later, my dear friend is gone, and the men still go by and wave when I'm out there struggling with something.

Imagine the guy getting better and coming home to find a stranger did his yard for FREE and it wasnt the neighbors who band togetherto help, and he is a MILLIONAIRE THAT LEAVES EVERYTHING TO YOU IN HIS WILL. Just watched 3 of your videos, now I have to go to work
When i was growing up we had a widowed neighbor who's children were estranged from her. My parents asked me to mow her lawn. Our lawn was on 4 acres and already took half a day with a push mower and crappy weedwhacker. Mowing her yard took another 2 hours. It was not an easy mow as the yard was in rough shape and i had a small push mower. I also painted her house one year. I got to know her well and she became a surrogate grandmother. I am forever grateful for my parents teaching me this valuable lesson of looking after those in need around you.
@pat man I'm soooooooo thankful that your parents pave that right way for you to help others. Blessings to you and your family ❤

My grandfather retired from farming when he was 80 and they lived in the suburbs. His next door neighbor was older as well - he took care of his yard but couldn't operate an edger. So one would mow both yards and the other edged both yards. It allowed both of them to maintain their dignity and pride in their own homes, as well as be neighborly. The neighbors directly behind my grandparents had a fairly steep rear driveway to the alley, where the trash was picked up each week. They had the large covered trash cans and could roll it down to the alley but weren't strong enough to pull it back up to the garage. I found out later that my grandfather helped them with that each week. It wasn't a nuisance and it helped another older neighbor live in their own home and maintain their independence for that much longer. He lived to be 91 and I'll always be encouraged by those acts of thoughtfulness. Everything doesn't have to be a big deal. 5 or 10 minutes here or there can make a HUGE difference in the quality of someone's life by removing a worry from them. Plus, it's another way of checking in and finding out quickly if there is a health crisis that requires greater assistance.
It's crazy that the neighbor tries insisting about how no one's gonna pay you while you already told him you're doing it for free. People should normalize doing good without expectations
The neighbor also said he was about to call the county about it. Right after the jerk said the poor neighbor had had a stroke and he didn’t think he was living there. What a garbage human he must be.
people nowadays always expect to be paid for something or a service to cost. Mainly because it does, people like this guy are trying to change that.

I can't imagine knowing a neighbour has experienced a medical emergency and then thinking 'I should call the authorities on them for the way their grass looks'.
I mean they may just want to call the county in the hopes they can do something about the neglected property, not necessarily to get the sickly homeowner in trouble.
If they explain to the code officers what the deal is,otherwise their going to take her to court when it's not done and charge her 500.00 a day until it gets taken care of.Been there, not fined but coded.
its obviously been that way for many months. I made the mistake once of helping a neighbor when he has an emergency. I mowed his lawn the next week, then the week after. waited 3 MORE weeks and no one came. then on the 5th week I mowed it again and nothing. It ended up looking fairly like this guys did until the city came and fined him then ended up after a year or so took his property as abandoned. Literally mowed his lawn 5 times altogether and for what? He ended up having it taken anyway. I dont think he ever even planned on coming back. I just merely delayed the action a few months.
With that said though every situation is different. Some ppl will be very grateful you mowed it, some maybe not. Its still a nice act and in this videos case the act is more for the neighbors than the owner.
The neighbours clearly state they thought he was “in a home” after the stroke they suffered, they continue to say that they have small grandchildren and great grandchildren and they had seen many snakes. Everyone is a keyboard warrior but never pays attention to the facts!
@@julianbanning2308 It also takes a moment to write a note to put on a neughbor's door offering help or to help find volunteers. Love the woman's reaction when Al said he liked helping people out. Her response was "Oh really" like that's something foreign to her, and apparently, it is to all those surrounding that property. Yeah I never understand how neighbors let a yard get like this when they KNOW the owner has medical issues. Heck, my husband and I had Covid last Christmas, and our neighbors took on our snow removal because they knew we were sick. For about a month they made sure our sidewalk and driveway were clear of snow and ice (have to clear within 24 hours). As we all know Covid is a nasty respiratory infection and cold weather is not a good combo. While we were never hospitalized, it was still rough going. It was a relief that we have neighbors who made sure we were taken care of. Our elderly neighbors never have to worry about snow removal or lawn mowing in our neighborhood.

Instead of calling the county again to report the overgrown grass, having the neighbor receive fines, and court dates, wouldn't the neighborly thing be to cut the grass down since you knew the man was hospitalized and hadn't been home for awhile? Kindness goes a long way.
Totally agree. In this kind of neighborhood there is enough money to get it done collectivly. As an old white lady, I am sick of entitled old white people.

Also, nice to ask the man what he wants to keep and what not. Mowing it all down and leaving a green, flat bit of grass is just a waste of nature. The more leafs, the more green, the cooler it'll get in the summer and the more water it takes up, preventing watersliding and mud-pools

It is really sad that not one neighbor lifted a finger in all the years that this man's yard had gotten out of control even though they knew that something had happened to the owner of this property. They were going to allow the state to take it from him. You are a good man for doing this. Al, YOU are the good neighbor that everyone should become. I was dumbfounded that the immediate neighbors of this man allowed his yard to get out of control with at least one guessing that the owner had had a stroke and was in assisted care. The video would suggest that they have never bothered to visit their impaired neighbor. These neighbors could pitched in to pay for lawn care services or someone had to have a kid who would mow the lawn -- or some local service group. SO glad that MY neighbors are just the salt of the earth and we watch out for each other.

If you have ever interacted with anyone offering any sort of "service" for such a large job, it's very important to be absolutely CLEAR as to the terms and conditions before hand. I wouldn't be too judgemental. You can see on the notice that it's in Florida. The neighbors are older people. My husband is 66 and we have a smaller yard than those but also live in the deep South where the summers are extremely hot and humid. There is no way my husband could maintain our yard plus a neighbors during an 8 month cutting season, which is required every 4 days or so, and do it for what appears to be 2-3 years of growth.
They sure have the time to stand around and stare and comment. Shameful.
@@RHoDS713 I understand, but I was not being judgemental, I simply formed my own opinion. These neighbors were NOSY, they knew the old man's business, the lady even came out to look and ask questions. If you won't or can't help, stay out of the way. And 66 is not old or elderly, 80 is!
@@supernova3723 I put my own age in the post (duh). Just saying how everyone in the comments (not necessarily directed at you personally) are so quick to judge others when I bet most of them do not know their own neighbors or would be quick to walk away when they see someone being mistreated on a subway or on a city sidewalk.
It’s really sad that the neighbors knew this person had a stroke and they wouldn’t even help keep his yard mowed. What happened to neighbors helping their neighbors? Sad! Y’all did a great job and thank you for all you do!
That's todays world bud.
Exactly. They know he has had a stroke, that he is in care and that the home is empty and they let it get so terrible that their only consideration is ringing the county. And making it super clear they will not be paying when they clearly can afford some contribution (not that they were asking for any financial input). They warmed up towards the end but it took a while. What is the point of having a "pristine" yard if your neighbours is a mess. We always pay to have our front verge mowed and we also pay for our neighbours on either side. Its no big deal.
To be fair, it's just as sad that we live in a country where if you mow a neighbor's lawn without permission, they can sue you for it. On top of that, it's entirely possible that they pay a service to mow their lawn for them. Mowing your neighbor's lawn when you mow yours is one thing. PAYING for a service to mow someone else's lawn is something entirely different. There's also the time factor. Based on the overgrowth, it had likely been multiple years since that lawn saw any care. Helping someone out for a couple weeks is reasonable friendly neighbor stuff. But YEARS? For someone you didn't know, who you probably (sadly) won't ever see again, that's too much for any reasonable person. Especially when the only people to 'appreciate' it in the end will be either an heir or a bank who will be selling the house without ever really looking at it.
'Helping out your neighbor' is great and all, but I see absolutely no reason to look down upon those people, without knowing ANY of the surrounding circumstances.

He is in a nursing home. That means he wont be getting out.
He WAS perfectly willing to "call the County", however.
I was thinking that too. It wouldn’t have hurt them while they had their mowers out to have just quickly cut their grass knowing they were having medical difficulties.
Still amazes me at how many people refuse to help a neighbor in need.. thankfully, there are people like you and AP ❤️
Not trying to judge your comment, but honestly you don't know this person or the people living around them. Maybe the guy was a total jerk, the kind of person who doesn't deserve any help and for that matter deserves every bad thing that ever happened to him. Or maybe the people nearby are the jerks who would never bother to ever lift a finger to help anyone. But yet can't wait to lift that finger to call the city. We will NEVER know.
@@dmaxsba well and my thing, (I’m not saying it’s right, but it isn’t wrong either) is no one owes you anything. They aren’t required to help their neighbors.
“They should help a neighbor in need.” Yeah… I would. But no one is required to help. It isn’t their responsibility.
@@callen0892 @dmaxsba you don't have to know somebody to help. Pay it forward someday you may need assistance. Deciding if they are worthy or not is petty and judgemental. Do things out of compassion and decency not because it's "required" .
It’s just so satisfying watching the thick overgrowth go away, and then seeing the final reveal of how the yard once looked.
Here's the thing... this guy is doing good things. However the adjoining neighbors don't want to look at this overgrown yard and say it's a Hazzard not to mention they live in a very nice house. They also know the person had a stroke and likely couldn't mow himself. Did they help their neighbor, nope even stated "I can't pay you." WHATS WRONG WITH PEOPLE? I grew up on a block where everyone knew everyone and you didn't even have to ask to get help. Things have gone in the wrong direction for sure and this volunteer is good people and doing his part to combat the disconnect.
so..the thing which makes my skin crawl...: ok. We have no expectation on the guy that gives zero fucks and says that he can't pay him although it was mentioned that he'll do it for free. Does ANY other neighbour see this? Can't they help? Gather 2-3-4 people, do it in a few days? I am sure in this kind of neighbourhood everyone knows who lives where. Help the man, even if he might have been a bad neighbour... He is in a nursing home ffs

I love how neighbourly he is "I'm about to call the county " did he never think just once to say "oh I'll do a nice deed and help my neighbours"!!

Yeah, like you'd do do the nice deed you preach so much.
There are WAY more cons than pros to going to your neighbor's house and cutting their lawn without permission. You never know if s/he's an asshole and sues you.
Also if you don't have the equipment, it's an ENDLESS and hard job for which you don't get paid and instead could be fucked over out of money or injure yourself.
@@YabaiModding Still, they knew that someone there had a stroke and had been moved for health reasons, and they didn't try to do anything like call around or band the neighborhood together or anything except think to call the county-- after someone showed up to cut the lawn, as well. Gofundme is well-known, too, and if word had spread I imagine at least someone who knows about the situation would hear the situation and think to maybe try to help in some way, even if it's just so that they have a home to return to once their health is better
Wow, that was a big one. How sad that the owner seemingly didn’t have any family to come and care for the property. Equally, it would have been nice for the neighborhood to organize and help cleanup to help this man. Blessings to you, Al, for all you do.
Selfish, uncaring neighbors.
@@ulexite-tvHateful greedy people in the world. State no doubt took the property. Since the man was put in a nursing home.
I really enjoy watching you do this for people. I revises my faith in people. You are a kind person for taking time and money out of your pocket to do this.
You’re the only one that took the time to help this guy out. How sad the neighbors knew about him but did nothing. God’s richest blessings to you for being a kind soul.
The previous owner is in a nursing home. This didn't help him at all. It did help the nursing home though. They confiscated the property the day he walked through the front door. They got a free mowing job. They should be paying for the maintenance of the property. They now own it and will be selling it when the person dies. All that happened is the sale value went up and the nursing home owners are laughing all the way to the bank.
They're elders on a fixed income and probably can't even physically do their own! 🙄
@johnkirby1192 I'm sorry if my comment is hard to follow, but please know I still have trouble writing, but I'll do my very best to explain!
Sir, you are 💯% exactly right about the nursing home! Of course I know nursing homes need to be paid and that's not what this is about. Here's my story, and let's see what you think...
It sickens me how they can legally do ppl, and I know 1st hand! When I was 45yrs old, I had a stroke. I was able to call 911 but couldn't say anything. I am an only child, I don't have children, no immediate family, AND I was going through a breakup with my GF of almost 20 years. Later I found out that no one knew what happened to me and thought I just left town, ikr?! After being in a coma for 2 weeks. I started recovering but when I was only 65% my insurance ran out. I was put in a nursing home. I obviously wasn't thinking clearly and only thought it was to help me get better. Another whole story, but luckily I found out they were taking action to take my home... a home my grandfather built, the one I loved, and worked my ass off for. It became my home, and I love it dearly. Anyway, I got a lawyer and my home back just in the nick of time. I just thought it was so dirty and underhanded what they were doing. The laws vary state to state, and ppl need to be aware of what can happen. I was only 45years old and I am soon to be 60. I'm sitting in my home again writing this. My lawyer is amazing, and he let me pay as I could, but I did pay my bill. He has no idea but when I die, I have willed everything to him... the house and all 55 acres! That will be my full circle, and I thank God every day that things did work out the way they did😎
We’ll done. You are amazing.Who ever is falling you to do this Video is very very Brave. I would get out of your way.
Is this the hardest you ever did.?You must sleep at night. I can’t stop watching. Good young man.❤️
I would never allow my neighbors yard to get like this without offering to help. They should know the person needs help. Be a community.
Typical south Florida neighbors. Everyone moves to Florida and they don't even try to meet their neighbors. They carry on a LDR with the people "back home" and completely isolate themselves in their homes.
That yard appears to have been neglected for YEARS!
Agreed. It the neighbor has the time and money to have a golf course-like front lawn, they can certainly pay a teenager $15 to mow the abandoned house each month. Think about your home value, bro.
Yeah, they should all send their kids and teach their kids something in the process about being a good neighbor. Give their kids $20 dollars each, and send them to their neighbors home to help do their yard. I guess it's not in their minds to help their neighbors anymore. It also allows the kids to do something good and bond as neighbors, instead of their kids playing computer games all day and getting fat and unhealthy.
Agree with you. It's a shame that people don't help others anymore
It's amazing that you did all that hard work for a complete stranger in need. It's a shame that the neighbors couldn't even be bothered to inform the City that he is in care right now.
They very well may have there's really no way of telling but it's actually the Home Owners Association that deal with these issues. Either way, it's not like they would do anything about it even if they were notified. All they can really do is try and notify the owners or someone in relation otherwise this happens. They can't just tell the grass not grow.
I had a feeling that the neighbor was more annoyed than anything. Sure you had a stroke but you can get somebody to cut your grass so I don't have to look at it that's the feeling I got from him
This is a beautiful service and a beautiful business model. He has helped out a total stranger in need and he's made well over $10k from RUclips for the video. This is a great, win, win for everybody.
You made the difference! You definitely are setting the example. It's really sad that the neighbors couldn't have helped out. Love what you do. ❤ Never watched videos on cutting grass until I found your channel.
You should be recognized by the city, for what you’re doing.
Exactly.... The city should assign some people doing community service to help with such projects on his once a week missions.

@@brucep9393 like Kendrick Lamar said "Be humble!"
You probably one day wanted recognition and didnt get it. I see where your coming from.
As a Senior, I am sadden by how this once beloved yard had fallen into decay. I struggle to keep the weeds out of my own gardens and worry one day this could be my situation. Instead of blaming these neighbors for neglect, (who are seniors themselves) look to yourselves and help the seniors in your neighborhoods. Long gone are the teenagers of yesteryears looking to make a few bucks mowing lawns . Lawn services are expensive on a fixed budget.
You are absolutely right!
But as neighbors, seniors or not could have gathered together to do something instead of threatening to call the county to add more stress to someone who already had a heart attack.
@@truthseeker5496 You are so blindly naive. It's incredibly complicated, both socially and financially, for a group of strangers to organise and coordinate a large scale land scaping job that would cost over $1000 on a 3rd party property without the owners permission. Then a senior citizen would have to go door knocking the neighbours house, someone they may have never spoken with outside of a hello, asking to collect payment. There is also a huge liability issue. You also don't know the neighbours financial or health situation.
@@Johhny_B and there is no excuse, I'm sorry. I have my own health issues. I've made arrangements for things like this to be taken care of. If it were kept up regularly it wouldn't have gotten to this point and would have cost maybe $100. I had people like this in my HOA neighborhood. My husband started cutting it. Well, 6 months later he was still cutting it. I finally put a stop to it because they were taking advantage. Being elderly and sick isn't an excuse to give up and certainly not to take advantage of people. Of you purchase a home, it's your responsibility to keep up the basics.
Problem being that, first, teenagers (a fare many, but not all) are not as eager to do this, second cost, most seniors are on a budget and look back to their past and in turn only offer 5 to 10 dollars which to them was a small fortune back in the day. With todays cost of equipment and fuel even 20 dollars will not let a person break even, even if they do 3 to 4 yards this size. Furthermore, if said yard is more then a month since its last cut, takes exponentially more time and fuel further raising the loss on the part of the worker, There is a reason lawncare costs so much, Fuel, maintenance of the equipment, oh and the salaries of the workers. Now I'm not saying anything bad here, just there are few people like Al who do this and it is great, but not everyone is like him, and that is the bad part of society.
Hey Al you deserve a lot of credit for what you're doing I'm 80 years old and I used to clean up my whole neighborhood go around picking up garbage trash couches they throw out whatever and I paid 37 years $21 $1 each load I took to the dumps And not one person ever told me thank you yeah so I'm telling you you're doing a very good thing and thank you

You are wonderful, Al. My husband is on Disability with an inoperable back condition and numerous other problems. I am almost 70, his fulltime caregiver, and have knee and back issues so I can't do the yard work myself, and with our small Social Security income I can't afford to pay someone. We have neighbors like this poor woman's, and they report us all the time. Once I had to go to court, with possible jail time, for a violation. And the kicker is that these neighbors are religious.
