If a reboot ruins your childhood, then your childhood wasn't as good as you think. The old show is still the very same, no matter what reboot, spin off, remake, or revival they make, the original series' gonna be the very same, and therefore your experience watching it should stay the same, unless your personal conviction is fragile and volatile enough to be affected by things you can easily ignore and more on.
Lets hope he dont like Transformers or Dragon Ball, those are technically adaptations/reinterpretations 😭 (Transformers of Diacron, and Dragon Ball of Journey to the West)

I hadn’t learned of Hal Jordan’s existence until much later when I looked through a book of DC heroes. I feel like DC fans know these two characters might have the same superhero title, but completely different plotlines and personality traits- it’s basically Hazel and Timmy but done years ago and nobody has complained about them because JL and JLU are some of the best superhero cartoons in history. Batman Beyond wasn't even a reboot, it was completely in-universe to the other DC shows that were on at the time. Hell the finale of Justice League Unlimited's first two seasons both hat the Terry McGinnis batman in them. One was a time travel episode that also featured an older Static from Static Shock and the other was a Amanda Waller telling Terry all about Bruce as Batman.

If a reboot ruins your childhood, then your childhood wasn't as good as you think. The old show is still the very same, no matter what reboot, spin off, remake, or revival they make, the original series' gonna be the very same, and therefore your experience watching it should stay the same, unless your personal conviction is fragile and volatile enough to be affected by things you can easily ignore and more on.

As a Ghibli nerd, the idea that a slice of life story can’t have substance is asinine to me. Personally, I think a story where characters are able to just sit down and talk is much more appealing than a story where they pit their move sets against each other
Storytime, but my first introduction to the title of Green Lantern was actually John Stewart from JLU. I hadn’t learned of Hal Jordan’s existence until much later when I looked through a book of DC heroes. I feel like DC fans know these two characters might have the same superhero title, but completely different plotlines and personality traits- it’s basically Hazel and Timmy but done years ago and nobody has complained about them because JL and JLU are some of the best superhero cartoons in history. Batman Beyond wasn't even a reboot, it was completely in-universe to the other DC shows that were on at the time. Hell the finale of Justice League Unlimited's first two seasons both hat the Terry McGinnis batman in them. One was a time travel episode that also featured an older Static from Static Shock and the other was a Amanda Waller telling Terry all about Bruce as Batman.

My only complaints with Race swaps is that they make the characters sort of unrecognizable in a sense.

I'd say i would've been more disrespectful if it were in Live action like the Disney reboots.

I'm genuinely happy that this new show has been doing good, not only for the obvious fresh coat of paint in a unique animation style but still making the concept work brilliantly. And that's coming from someone who hasn't watched modern Nickelodeon content since the end of Legend of Korra.

No, he didn’t. He just got mad at a screenshot of a show he barely watched and made a video just because the main character is black.
To give the person the fairest and most benefit of the doubt, this is someone who doesn’t do research and comments on vibes rather than personal thoughts. They absorb the what they hear and regurgitate it in a different spin. They’re trying to make a safe video dunking on something that has been talked about to death, but fail to deliver their message and talk down to modern shows that can actually stand on their own.
At least that’s how I understand it. If I’m misinterpreting something, all I ask is that we keep things civil. I want to understand why I’m wrong or what I could be missing. Thanks in advance!
