I'm principally a wargamer with LOADS of time on my hands (retired). In the last couple of years moving into skirmish gaming and recently purchased Sell Swords and Spell Slingers. I wanted to fill out the gaming a bit and found your YT a few weeks ago. Then I saw Forbidden Lands and am gently using that to fill out the campaign aspects of SS&SS. I'll be looking at SGMG to supplement it all.

Oh I NEED to pre-order this when I'm a little less broke, this is EXACTLY what I need right now! Been doing a lot of Ironsworn and MÖRK BORG (with the Solitary Defilement third party solo stuff) solo gaming recently and I know I would get a ton of use out of this.
Any chance of this coming to DriveThruRPG? The UK cost including delivery is just too steep for me from Modiphius.
I don’t think so but you would need to contact the publisher for sure. A pdf will be released for purchase after the physical books are shipped
I think it's very likely. Modiphius published under their own account at WGV the Nordic Weasel titles they released last year (Five parsecs and the first expansion).
I preordered on day 1 and read through the pdf over a week, excellent resource, highly recommend.

Convinced me to get your book. Sometimes I think it helps to go solo once you played in groups but it feels daunting to start as a newbie and doing solo with tons of choices not particularly built for solo. Got mine on the miniature markets as noted in your video info but looks like it won't come with the pdf version. Is that only for modiphius site orders? Thanks and love the channel

Thanks for the support! No, this will not be in drivethru as far as I know but you should confirm that with the publisher to be sure. And I have thought of making oracle cards for sale on drivethrucards but I have not done so yet-nor do I have immediate plans to do so.

is ther a pdf only option? im from the philippines and i think the shipping cost would be around the same as the book itself. i just started to solo a month ago, I ordered the conquered sun edition of disciples of bone and shadow and I love it. i stopped playing video games altogether. I started adding tables and rules for more specific things like opening a store for uncommon items, and expanding a small village in order to attract ore settlers. im planning to solo curse of strahd. its a huge undertaking, im planning to practice on some shorter modules. i thing your book will greatly help.
Sounds like you’ve got a lot of great gaming going on... I believe the pdf of my book will be available separately eventually but you will need to contact the publisher, Modiphius, to find out for sure (and when)

How do you see the d6 system from WEG? Is this a recommended ruleset for soloists?
I am not specifically familiar with it but my perspective (as I articulate and demonstrate in my book) is that any rule set can be soloed. Granted, some are easier than others and some require more modification than others but if for some reason you are attracted to a rule set there’s no reason you cannot solo it with the right approach and strategies.

Thanks for the support and I hope you enjoy the book. In terms of rule sets... it really depends on what I feel like doing but go to for me would be something like Maze Rats because it has so many random tables. For a solo-designer set of rules that plays in a familiar way, Scarlet Heroes (though I’m not really into the Red Tide setting), and of course Ironsworn has totally changed the game for solo play. I recommend the Delve supplement for a more familiar dungeon-y feel.
Right now I have 5e on the table with a ton of supplements to muscle it into a solo session.

In particular the Story = based on Emotions (I created a random table with Emotion following your suggestion how to create self made tables) and using thematic books as a source for inspiration. Great!
Hello. What do you think about the popular: Mythic Game Master Emulator, second edition?
I’ve talked about it on various videos on my channel but it’s not for me. I find it too programmatic and this it limits my creativity and organic development of sorry. I know it’s popular but it doesn’t help my way of play.
