She is actually breaking a federal law by putting something in your mailbox that has not gone through the security steps we have now. You can not put posts like for yard sales or lost pets on the outside either. A postal box is considered federal property. We didn't know that until the mail person in our old neighborhood had told us.

After , the Inspectors can not obtain a satisfactory response from the offender it will go to Federal Court. Trust me, the offender will listen to the Inspectors. I have had to report a half dozen people to management, who will make the initial contact, Then if necessary they will contact the Postal Inspectors.
Its Feb 2022, and Ive been following your story about your unreasonable neighbor. My advice to you is to seek legal help. Not sure what state and town you live in, but You're going to want to find out what the law truly is regarding your truck color (most likely nothing on the books) and get a legal cease and desist warning letter sent via registered mail. If she had a leg to stand on her "lawyer" brother would have send you something of an actual legal notice on his firms letterhead stating some firm legal facts. A vague threat letter only serves as intimidation and harassment on her part. My suspicion is it is an entirely an empty baseless threat with no real facts to back it up. If your neighbor wants to play this game, show her you mean business and will not be harassed. The train horn is funny, but that will not make things stop with her. She could use that against you down the road.
Can you imagine the reaction of a cop being called out to address this complaint and seeing that the only "problem" is the color of the truck? If this doesn't stop you can get a restraining order against her or hire an attorney to send her a "cease and desist" letter because this actually is harassment.

I feel your pain. I was involved in a hunter harassment issue for years where crazy peta people would continually beep their horn up and down the road while I was on my land hunting. Unless you’re part of a neighborhood association and pay dues - she can pound sand. Even if that’s the case it only applies to the color of your house not vehicles. There is absolutely no law that says you can’t paint your vehicle a certain color. BTW no one would look twice at you’re truck in Florida or California where there are exotic cars with different paint schemes everywhere.
I can confirm this I am with a neighborhood association and selling my condo now they only care about the outside of the property door color and paint and stuff. Nothing about vehicles at all. Plus I own the inside space so I can do what I want with the interior. I however have learned to never be a part of a neighborhood association. While it’s calm here they consistently raise the fees and their excuse is oh the other associations have higher fees 😐
Don’t know what the laws are in Pennsylvania, but in Connecticut it is “ILLEGAL” for anybody to open your mail box and put anything inside of your mailbox other then usps worker. Check your laws.
Report this to your postal delivery person, as there are regulations about placing things in a mailbox and their lawyer brother should have informed them of this.

I meet a male Karen the other day. I was riding my three wheeled, mobility scooter on the sidewalk and he told me that I should be riding it on the street.He was a young male Karen in training. Interfering with the US mail (which placing something in someone"s mail box is considered to be) is a Federal crime, not state or local. That's why flyers are hung on a mailbox and not put in it unless mailed through the Post Office.

I would imagine all complaints need investigating. Nothing stops a cop from making an arrest, whilst they have descretion. Its up to the courts to decide.

That's insane. I have a Camaro SS 1LE that comes in that colour from the factory (officially called Shock), and I have gotten a lot of compliments for the colour. It's an awesome colour to choose for a wrap. Crazy to think Karens now want to dictate the colour of your vehicle. I hope the police eventually get fed up and just tell her to find better things to worry about. The only instance that comes close to a complaint in my case is when I helped my friend jump start his car. There was an old gentleman that started a grandeur lecture with me on how some rich people in my area drives a Camry (because they probably have other expensive hobbies like collecting watches, just not cars) and how I should give back to the community, etc.. I pretty much just "cool story bro"'d it while I worked on my buddy's car. Far from a Karen, though. It does garner attention and that's just how it is.

I am 70 and I love that color scheme on your truck! People can be unreasonable and seriously disillusioned. I would definitely go with the cease and desist letter. You can even get one online. I would not rewrap that truck or park it somewhere else. It is your right to express yourself in any way you like as long as you do not interfere with someone else's rights in a way that causes them distress, pain, damage, etc. That is why there are traffic laws etc that limit individual rights but benefit society in general. (You driving 120 on I-80 would place onto others an unreasonable danger above the normal danger of competing with hundreds of semis at 70 mph). Btw, we were once told that we had an illegal trailer hitch (a simple ball mount that extended maybe 8" beyond my truck's bumper). This was because a lady drove into it! My wife and her elderly mother were in it, parked, when it happened. They took photos while being screamed at. Our insurance company told me to go with her and get an estimate. Then they paid her! My wife was PARKED at the time! I was furious because it went against our record. The only damage to that lady's SUV was a scratch underneath her bumper! She made the dealer's shop repaint the entire bumper and my insurance paid for it. Stupid. In retrospect, it was 2 to 1, we should have called the police to get an official report but they probably would not have come since there were no injuries. Of course it is hard to prove a back injury or whiplash isn't really that bad. ... Lol I sympathize with you and congrats on the new home and the new wife. Make sure to get information to follow up on their investigation into the matter. My next door neighbor is the same way , when I bought the house I had just moved from Texas back to Chicago , so my car plates were from Texas 5 weeks later my neighbor leaves a letter in my mailbox saying that by Law I have to change my plates to Illinois no more than 30 days of moving to the state , and he said " if you don't not change your plates by this week , we will be forced to call the police " .. smh . That was just 1 out of many letters they left through out the years .

I used to run and live at a scrap/tow yard, the locals tried to complain for months about anything and everything they could, but the law was on our (it's commercial land and the business was registered) anyways, I started cutting the exhausts off the yard vehicles and started racing them with coworkers and friends when business was slow 🤣🤣🤣

It's not against the law to have a crummy paint job or to paint your car an especially obnoxious color. Fortunately for most of us, the fashion police have not yet been granted the same power as the actual police to make arrests.
So how can your vehicle's paint job get you pulled over? (This is What I have Found & both my friend Attorneys 1 in PA and 1 in WI. I was a GM of a Cab Company for a few Year's & also a Driver for 8 years. So I have dealt with All the Nutz & Crazies here.

A friend of mine drives a smart car covered in fake grass now that is an eye sore but none of us or his neighbours care even though we have a laugh he says the company pay the fuel and insurance so he is free to drive it anywhere so having people laugh does not bother him. it is truly daft.

You can not put posts like for yard sales or lost pets on the outside either. A postal box is considered federal property. We didn't know that until the mail person in our old neighborhood had told us.

After , the Inspectors can not obtain a satisfactory response from the offender it will go to Federal Court. Trust me, the offender will listen to the Inspectors. I have had to report a half dozen people to management, who will make the initial contact, Then if necessary they will contact the Postal Inspectors.

Its Feb 2022, and Ive been following your story about your unreasonable neighbor. My advice to you is to seek legal help. Not sure what state and town you live in, but You're going to want to find out what the law truly is regarding your truck color (most likely nothing on the books) and get a legal cease and desist warning letter sent via registered mail. If she had a leg to stand on her "lawyer" brother would have send you something of an actual legal notice on his firms letterhead stating some firm legal facts. A vague threat letter only serves as intimidation and harassment on her part. My suspicion is it is an entirely an empty baseless threat with no real facts to back it up. If your neighbor wants to play this game, show her you mean business and will not be harassed. The train horn is funny, but that will not make things stop with her. She could use that against you down the road.
Can you imagine the reaction of a cop being called out to address this complaint and seeing that the only "problem" is the color of the truck? You're right about her being mentally troubled in some way. This is far from a normal complaint about some rule violation especially when no such rule actually exists. If this doesn't stop you can get a restraining order against her or hire an attorney to send her a "cease and desist" letter because this actually is harassment.

Unless you’re part of a neighborhood association and pay dues - she can pound sand. Even if that’s the case it only applies to the color of your house not vehicles. There is absolutely no law that says you can’t paint your vehicle a certain color. BTW no one would look twice at you’re truck in Florida or California where there are exotic cars with different paint schemes everywhere.
I can confirm this I am with a neighborhood association and selling my condo now they only care about the outside of the property door color and paint and stuff. Nothing about vehicles at all. Plus I own the inside space so I can do what I want with the interior. I however have learned to never be a part of a neighborhood association. While it’s calm here they consistently raise the fees and their excuse is oh the other associations have higher fees 😐
Personally I would wrap it Pepto-Bismol hot pink. I would even put lettering on it that says "THIS IS FOR YOU KAREN!"
Don’t know what the laws are in Pennsylvania, but in Connecticut it is “ILLEGAL” for anybody to open your mail box and put anything inside of your mailbox other then usps worker. Check your laws.

I meet a male Karen the other day. I was riding my three wheeled, mobility scooter on the sidewalk and he told me that I should be riding it on the street.He was a young male Karen in training. I told him riding it in the street would be dangerous and he said the sidewalk was not made for motorized vehicles. Interfering with the US mail (which placing something in someone"s mail box is considered to be) is a Federal crime, not state or local. That's why flyers are hung on a mailbox and not put in it unless mailed through the Post Office.

That's insane. I have a Camaro SS 1LE that comes in that colour from the factory (officially called Shock), and I have gotten a lot of compliments for the colour. It's an awesome colour to choose for a wrap. Crazy to think Karens now want to dictate the colour of your vehicle. I hope the police eventually get fed up and just tell her to find better things to worry about.
The only instance that comes close to a complaint in my case is when I helped my friend jump start his car. There was an old gentleman that started a grandeur lecture with me on how some rich people in my area drives a Camry (because they probably have other expensive hobbies like collecting watches, just not cars) and how I should give back to the community, etc.. I pretty much just "cool story bro"'d it while I worked on my buddy's car. Far from a Karen, though. It does garner attention and that's just how it is.

I would not rewrap that truck or park it somewhere else. It is your right to express yourself in any way you like as long as you do not interfere with someone else's rights in a way that causes them distress, pain, damage, etc. That is why there are traffic laws etc that limit individual rights but benefit society in general. (You driving 120 on I-80 would place onto others an unreasonable danger above the normal danger of competing with hundreds of semis at 70 mph).
Btw, we were once told that we had an illegal trailer hitch (a simple ball mount that extended maybe 8" beyond my truck's bumper). This was because a lady drove into it! My wife and her elderly mother were in it, parked, when it happened. They took photos while being screamed at. Our insurance company told me to go with her and get an estimate. Then they paid her! My wife was PARKED at the time! I was furious because it went against our record. The only damage to that lady's SUV was a scratch underneath her bumper! She made the dealer's shop repaint the entire bumper and my insurance paid for it. Stupid.
In retrospect, it was 2 to 1, we should have called the police to get an official report but they probably would not have come since there were no injuries. Of course it is hard to prove a back injury or whiplash isn't really that bad. ... Lol

Make sure to get information to follow up on their investigation into the matter. Whether you do or not, asking for the case number or whatever they happen to call it so you can have it for your records and follow up with lessen the chance of it being ignored. My next door neighbor is the same way , when I bought the house I had just moved from Texas back to Chicago , so my car plates were from Texas 5 weeks later my neighbor leaves a letter in my mailbox saying that by Law I have to change my plates to Illinois no more than 30 days of moving to the state , and he said " if you don't not change your plates by this week , we will be forced to call the police " .. smh . That was just 1 out of many letters they left through out the years .

I used to run and live at a scrap/tow yard, the locals tried to complain for months about anything and everything they could, but the law was on our (it's commercial land and the business was registered) anyways, I started cutting the exhausts off the yard vehicles and started racing them with coworkers and friends when business was slow 🤣🤣🤣

One thing I realized as a medical officer in the United States military..and as a counselor and therapist... People do this because of their visual expectations. Like the Karen's who calls the police on the little black kid selling water on the corner. They didn't expect to see this when they walked out of the house. These types of people are toxic...
