Hi! You've done the best presentation of Triple Play so far. Hope I can afford it as soon as possible and you're quite a guitar player! Thanks. Kjell/Sweden/

@@leeg7106 You can adjust the pitch bend settings for each patch, and if you have it set to match the pitch of the strings exactly, then yes - it will register your out-of-tune strings as pitch bends. Hey there, Buster. You should be able to run from Guitar Rig into the TriplePlay without any issues. Once you get this into your computer or tablet, how do you project that live on stage? Can you use a USB audio interface line out to a guitar amp or PA at the same time as the guitar MIDI/USB interface?
Hi, Glen! Yep, that is absolutely the idea. If you are generating your tones via software instruments, you would simply use an audio interface to get the audio out of your computer and into a mixer, PA system or an amp. A lot of people say that this app is nearly as accurate as the FTP, but I assume they only tried the app on an electric guitar, and that it wouldn't compare as well on an acoustic. Could you please give it a try and compare it? The app is free (in demo mode which would be enough to compare). Thank you.
hello .the extra volume pedal to be connected to triple play Fishman fc-1 as it should be as a comine volume pedal .do i want a particular padal midi ?
Hi Jake Spector! TriplePlay can work as a plug-in in Digital Audio Workstation software (DAW) compatible with VST or AU format plug-ins. DAWs allow you to record your TriplePlay performances, sequence them for automatic VI and VGR changes in live settings, and much more.
Whoa. I think my lust for a Boss SY-600 just got snuffed. Only 400 smackers for this thing? However, if my past experiences are true, I also kinda need to buy this fellow's BRAIN too.
+graphicartdude I know it's late, but just in case you were still curious: The Fishman Triple Play is simply a device that converts your guitar strings' audio to midi notes and transmits them wirelessly to your computer. You can then play any synthesizer or sampler software instrument in your computer. The TriplePlay does not process any of your guitar audio, as in modeling, like the VG-99 or GR-55 do. The Roland GK system is the only one that does that. The TriplePlay does not provide 13-pin output. This is an alternative to any GR-based guitar synth/midi products. It is basically a wireless version of similar technology to the Roland GK pickups, except the triple play only works with a computer and any virtual instruments that you have loaded. The advantage to the Triple Play is that it is wireless and many people only use soft synths these days. The advantage to the Roland GK compatible products is that in addition to guitar-to-midi conversion, you also get the COSM modeling processing when using a Roland processor such as a VG-99, GR-55, or VG-88. COSM modeling is NOT pitch-to-midi conversion, instead it is digital signal procession of the guitar strings audio signal (think of it as similar to the way a Line 6 Variax works). Feel free to message me if you'd like to know more.
+Andrew Bonica Thanks for the in depth reply Andrew. Yeah, I ended up going with a TriplePlay a few months back. While it's kind of a pain having to be tied to a computer and having certain software to run everything, once it was up and running it was pretty fun to get certain sounds with. I haven't messed with it in awhile, though I plan on using it again shortly. The reason I went with the TriplePlay was because I was under the assumption that I could basically play any midi files with it, as opposed to the Roland devices, etc where there seemed to be more restrictions to what was offered on the devices. I also heard about the poor latency issues with the Rolands vs the TriplePlay, which was my main deciding factor. I'd have to say though, that if TriplePlay offered a stand alone guitar pedal that worked with their device, that would be the perfect combo. I'm surprised they don't offer something like that yet actually. Kind of how the BeatBuddy put midi drum beats into a pedal.
The Fishman Triple Play was designed by the makers of the earlier Axon products, much faster tracking than the Roland GK pickups. If you want a closed system, the GR-55 is great, but for triggering virtual instruments, this is the fastest thing you can get next to wiring the fretboard.
Bilah M use your brain and you will understand why same large companies aka Yamaha, Korg, Oberheim, Roland wanted the Midi guitar out of the way and also Major guitar Companies also wanted the Midi guitar dead. The combination of the guitar and synth was the future and by now it would be super real time no latency. In fact by 2018 velocity sensors would already be part of a touch sensitive fret system. Too bad this technology meant that guitar companies and major synth companies would be out of business.

So, I have a UVI symphonic instrument that I bought 6 or 7 years ago, and now I can't even install it on my current computer...incompatible. All that money gone. So when I see this, I'm excited about the tracking, but I see a product that is rather pricey and that is dependent on a usb dongle and software. What happens in 7 years when the software won't install or usb goes the way of the floppy disk? If it were $200 I'd buy. But I can't stomach the possibility of $400 down the drain. If the device also had a port for a standard midi cable (i.e. I could still use it without the wireless and the software), I'd be more inclined to $400.
This company provides firmware upgrades for both the controller and the receiver. USB 3 is backwards compatible to the unit's USB 2 dongle, and USB C is backwards compatible to USB 2. If it went to thunderbolt, or some other specification, it would be a matter of buying an inexpensive adapter.

Hi Don Droege! Its range is really designed for guitar, so it wouldn't perform well on a bass. Fishman has talked about making one for bass, as they get a lot of requests, but at this point there's been no word about production. Thanks for watching!

Yo I just got this and I gotta say, smooth move making it look like all these patches just come with the software. I’ve had to go to every individual plugin provider and figure out how to download their software just to make the “Legacy” presets work. Idk if I’m just challenged or what but the fact that I’ve only been able to play the Synthmaster presets and not any of the stuff that is advertised (without hunting down multiple plugins) just seems so strange to me. Shouldn’t these plugins at least be included with the software download?

If the device also had a port for a standard midi cable (i.e. I could still use it without the wireless and the software), I'd be more inclined to $400.
This company provides firmware upgrades for both the controller and the receiver. USB 3 is backwards compatible to the unit's USB 2 dongle, and USB C is backwards compatible to USB 2. If it went to thunderbolt, or some other specification, it would be a matter of buying an inexpensive adapter.
How does this compare to the GC-1 and GR-55
+alphasxsignal I know it's late, but just in case you were still curious: The Fishman Triple Play is simply a device that converts your guitar strings' audio to midi notes and transmits them wirelessly to your computer.

What is the foot controller he's using to change the presets ?
Not 100% sure, Harout Tashjian, but give us a call at 800-222-4700 and we can make some great recommendations for you. Thanks!
Doed this system work with EWQL?
Does anyone know if this will work on a bass guitar?
Hi Don Droege! Its range is really designed for guitar, so it wouldn't perform well on a bass. Fishman has talked about making one for bass, as they get a lot of requests, but at this point there's been no word about production. Thanks for watching!
Heisenberg?

I can't seem to find those jazzy vocal samples (shouts) he uses towards the end. Does anyone know how to get them?
+ramjamjing They're usually a preset called Jazz Scat in most keyboards and samplers.
Can you mix you´re own sounds on this for techno music?
Byron Hallgrímsson You can use this with any DAW you want. It basically turns your guitar into a midi keyboard. It's software has inserts for any VST you want to load in.
Awesome!
