Thank you! this is very helpful. I still have a few questions though.
I notice all the photos on Takealot have a similar format with a white background. Does Takealot take the photos or how does it work?
Also for shipping, when an order is placed do you ship that order to Takealot and then Takealot delivers to the customer and then do you pay for both? Or does takealot collect from you when the order is placed? And does the customer get charged a delivery fee?
Last thing... if you want your items for both JHB and CT do you have to ship stock to both.
I hope my questions make sense, I'm very new to this -_- :D Thanks so much!

I know I reply very late! But, as TA seller, ur not allowed to brand ur own product there, except if you have a trade certificate. So if u dont have a trade certificate and sell (and list it by name) some other product range, dont you rather improve THEIR brand instead of your own?! How is it that you say you build your brand with TA and that customers get to know your brand? Most sellers sell other peoples brands

With eCommerce, you need to accept payment. In SA, you need a business registration to open a business bank account - so either way you will need a business registered.

Register a generic trading company (dont specify what exact product you are selling in the business name), so that you can try any product you want.

You should also have login credentials when you do the application, which will allow you to log in and check progress of your application. But yes, they will contact you when your application is approved.
