Thanks for the video brother.... None of the videos I have watched mentioned having to print stickers. I need to invest in a printer before I can open my store. At least I'm already approved to sell on Takealot
Well done on being approved on Takealot. Yes, all items need to have the stickers on. Many people just send the stickers to a printing shop, give them the correct sticker paper (as required by takealot) and ask them to print. You can do that in the beginning to get started. @@Mmathabo-o8o usually you don’t need to get that. You just book it through the shipment link on Takealot and then add Waybill number. Where is asking for that?

For example if i am selling a shampoo and conditioner which is 2 separate items should i package it into its own packaging or can i send 6 of each e.g to joburg and will takealot package it as a pair for me into there own box and send it to the buyer?
That’s actually a really great question. A few things to answer that: 1. If you were wanting to sell it as a set, you’d need to load them as a singular product onto Takealot (a combo set). So that if you had ‘6’ in stock it would actually be 6 combos. 2. Because of that, they would need to be packaged as a set somehow with a singular Item Code on the packaging for the warehouse to scan. 3. If you also wanted to sell them separate as an option you would need to load another product for each of them individually. So no, Takealot will not pack a combo for you unfortunately. And you would need a product image specifically for the set, to align with the Takealot’s picture guidelines.

The barcode would be from the supplier, the SKU is something you would generate for your accounting/stock purposes. If your product has neither...no stress. Just stick on your printed Product Label from Takealot (you only get that once you've uploaded that product and it's been approved).
I’m not entirely sure what you’re asking, but you need to send an average of 60-70% of your stock to Jhb DC and 30-40% to Cpt DC. If Cpt runs out of stock, and you have stock in Jhb, they will item on purchase from Jhb to Cpt DC then to Customer and you’ll pay a slightly higher delivery fee than usual for the transfer. 😊
Romero..I need to ask you a question please. 😊 So I have 3 product that I have created individually but I need send them all in 1 box. As I have confirmed the shipments ,and downloaded shipping labels and note do I need to put 3 shipping note inside for all 3? And as for a shipping labels do I need to stick all 3 inside or just 1
@@Jaythecook each product required its product label on it. Multiple product and product types can be put into the same box (if part of the same shipment). Each box needs 1 shipping label on it. Shipping note needs to be in 1 of the boxes with clearly written text saying “shipping note inside”. And 1 shipping note outside the box.
@Romero_Meyer very clear, so can the 2 boxes be sent in 1 big box and I'll create 1 shipping note? Is that allowed?or should I just make them 2 small separate boxes ND send as 1 of 2 / 2 of 2 ? I hope I make sense. I truly appreciate your assistance
@@Jaythecook mmmm, if I’m understanding correctly then I’d just do the second option (1 of 2 and 2 of 2). Or just pack everything into one box. Remember, each location obviously needs its own set of boxes so you need to send Cpt and Jhb separately obviously.

@@TracyJuta they can all be packed in the same box if they’re leadtime orders required at the same DC. Each item still gets it’s product label as normal, the box they get delivered in gets its shipping label.
@@TracyJuta you can check on your portal under the help panel and search ‘storage fee’. But essentially they charge a fee per item you have that is ‘overstocked’. Best way to manage is watch your stock day coverage number on your portal under ‘manage my offers’ and then only send enough stock for the 30day coverage and monitor as you go.
@@abdurrahmanayob9060 go to ‘manage my product’ page. Go to the item. Select SOH (stock on hand) and increase it to at least 1 unit. Then select ‘leadtime order’ under that and select 3 days.
There’s a few great articles online if you just searched “about SKU and how to make them”. But essentially they’re just Stock Keeping Units and you can create them however you like and only if you need them as they’re unique to each business, unlike barcodes.
Something similar has happened to me. Depending on your account healthy, they may block you from sending stock for a while, but if it wasn’t your fault you can just email them to explain and they usually unblock your account straight away (after review). I had a delivery rejected and returned but it wasn’t my fault as the delivery/PO sticker was ripped off in transit. The barcode would be from the supplier, the SKU is something you would generate for your accounting/stock purposes. If your product has neither...no stress. Just stick on your printed Product Label from Takealot (you only get that once you've uploaded that product and it's been approved).
@@Romero_Meyer Much appreciated, excellent content keep up the good work
@@ziyakhalayoutubechannel thank you! 🙏🏾
Shall I drop off to the jhb dc they will deliver to CPT ?please explain..
Thank you for the quick replay
@@cutievaishnavi5680 You're welcome :) Hope it helped!
Romero..I need to ask you a question please.
😊
So I have 3 product that I have created individually but I need send them all in 1 box.
@@Romero_Meyer got you.🥰🥰🥰

is the process the same to send lead time orders?
@@karlamuller5875 yes. Although you just have to send it within the due date otherwise the leadtime is cancelled. You can also, and it’s recommended, to send more items in the same shipment to reduce shipping cost per/product. Takealot will automatically warn you that your shipment contains one or more leadtime orders. 😊

When it comes to the Book Delivery tab. What login details does one use or how does one register?
@@MauricePieters if I’m not mistaken, when you sign up they give you a unique login to the booking platform.
Hi Romero
I've only received the login details this morning
Thank you 🙏
@@MauricePieters ah glad they came through!
@Romero_Meyer
I am currently doing the Booking Delivery, but I am unable to add the selected shipment.
There is an error about an ASNS to be created
@@MauricePieters did you follow the steps in the exact order in the video?
If you’re on the sellers portal and go to your shipment you created, and it’s marked as confirmed. From there you just click the little icon that says ‘book delivery’ and it should link the shipment automatically.
Great video, I have an issue, I have confirmed my shipment on the seller portal, but it has not pulled through to the booking system???? has this ever happened to you? If so, how do I fix it?
@@onlyuselessinfo never. Once you have selected ‘confirm shipment’ and select ‘book delivery’ it usually takes you straight to the booking system with it available to select the booking.

Make sure they’re buyable (pricing is set on your “manage my offers” page and try promote them (product depending) once you see the stock is there. Otherwise just have to wait to see if they sell.
Once stock is there, it’s a passive process until items start to sell.
Hi Romero
Thank this video really help alot. How does it work with lead time orders. Say you get 3 orders do you put them all in one box? Do they get diff shipping labels on each? Your help will be greatly appreciated
Tracy
@@TracyJuta they can all be packed in the same box if they’re leadtime orders required at the same DC. Each item still gets it’s product label as normal, the box they get delivered in gets its shipping label.
Thank you
@@Romero_Meyerme again how exactly does the storage fee cost? My items are starting to get charged for this how is the best way to manage this?
@@TracyJuta you can check on your portal under the help panel and search ‘storage fee’.
But essentially they charge a fee per item you have that is ‘overstocked’. Best way to manage is watch your stock day coverage number on your portal under ‘manage my offers’ and then only send enough stock for the 30day coverage and monitor as you go.
There's so much work neh 😊

Hello how to create the barcode?
@@thethemutach8661 hey. I go over that in more detail in this video: ruclips.net/video/7BsT2aERuyg/видео.htmlsi=USwLaxgakrZesTGl
Hi How do i get an SKU no. ,or how do i generate it. I just added barcode from the stock ,but wanna know about SKU.
There’s a few great articles online if you just searched “about SKU and how to make them”. But essentially they’re just Stock Keeping Units and you can create them however you like and only if you need them as they’re unique to each business, unlike barcodes.
What happens when your shipment is late and it's the
delivery company's fault?
Something similar has happened to me. Depending on your account healthy, they may block you from sending stock for a while, but if it wasn’t your fault you can just email them to explain and they usually unblock your account straight away (after review).
I had a delivery rejected and returned but it wasn’t my fault as the delivery/PO sticker was ripped off in transit. They blocked me, but once I got the delivery back and saw that it was the Courier I just emailed them and my account was opened the same day.
we need video about packaging please🙏 🙏
Coming soon! I’m having to restock items this week or next (just waiting for packaging) and then will make the video.
can someone only send to jhb?
@@bassoniatv Cpt, Jhb and (if the category is open) Dbn. 😊
@@Romero_Meyer Thanks and can someone dont send to any and just wait for the order then you send ?
@@bassoniatv when you first sign up, no. You have to send some stock to unlock the ability to sell on lead-time.
Once you have, then yes you can. Just know that the conversion rate will be lower since it will tell customers “item ships in 5-7 days” as apposed to “in-stock. Delivery available tomorrow”.
I wanted to ask if we sending a product through the courier guy, do you still have to book a delivery yourself or does the courier guy do it for you since they’re partnered with takealot?
@@naby4869 you still book the delivery, and then select ‘deliver through a takealot preferred courier’ and then put the Waybill # there and then allocate to the courier of choice. They then handle the time it will be delivered on your behalf.
