I've seen people mod this game to where they play as comic book characters like Batman and Daredevil. I would kill for an open world Daredevil game with this style of combat. Would be pretty neat
Holup. You have the 'grunts always resist takedowns' modifier, but were able to takedown this guy at 0:23 and her at 0:31 (just for a few examples). Does the modifier not work or am I missing something? Also, is there something you do to differentiate Fajar's low kick to his mid kick that blasts you across all of China? For example, at 5:26 he does a kick combo that's high->high->low, but at 5:38 he does a kick combo that's high->high->mid. How did you know to dodge the mid and parry the low? They both look the same to me until it's too late. Fajar is the hardest boss for me on master because of this and I hate it. Also also, it's funny because I have that same outfit/gender combo on my current master save. Nice to see this kind of video from you.
Honestly unsure how the game makes the determination as to who does and does not resist finishers. It's always the same enemies who can and cannot (it's always the 2 women in the light blue tops in the first part of the first wave, for example) so I assume there is a logic of a kind to it - I just don't know what that logic is. Something to do with enemy 'tier'? idk. As for Fajar, with the mid/low mixup, I honestly just react to how he moves. Bit of a 4head response but idk, I know the differences in the telegraph and the big kick is a bit slower so you have a split second to make the determination. The big kick is often preceded by the diagonal kick that he does, which acts as a good warning sign that you need to be ready to Avoid low. Can also just Avoid that diagonal kick I think, it gives you a slowdown. For sure Fajar turns into a completely different beast on Master as compared to Disciple, absolutely unbelievable spike in difficulty. When I first got Sifu I didn't die to Fajar a single time on Disciple. When I came back through the game on Master he shut me right the fuck out for multiple hours. Shit's crazy. Glad you liked it dood, thank you!
Uhhhhh hard question to answer, Hitagi End is an easy pick, would need to think about it a lot. Nadeko Medusa is really good too. There's a couple that spring to mind
It's OK Theo. Chat is cringe, and most of them couldn't reason their way out of a paper bag, much less have a substantive conversation that doesn't devolve into "I like it so you are bad and wrong". I've actually heard those criticisms of From Soft before a few times, so I'm happy to hear your breakdown of the issue. Cheers.
Damn you are way better at this game than me! i need to pick it up again so i dont become a DBZ jobber and stay at Kame House all day missing all the cool action! XD
Partially for funsies as a self-imposed restriction, partially because I am more familiar and comfortable with the base moveset and its capabilities - for example Crotch Punch is a move that I use constantly to low-profile under enemy attacks while getting in and hitting them back, and most weapon-versions of this move lose the low-profile property as far as I'm aware. I'm just not as fluent with weapon movesets
Bought it on the Steam sale so I'll enjoy getting bodied for ten hours till I get good. This game playable keyboard only or is it pretty much joystick or bust?
I've seen a decent proportion of very skilled players playing on mouse and keyboard. Though as with all games of this nature I would probably recommend a controller as it is likely intuitive and easier.
Hi Theo. I've seen you at the EFAP episodes where you discuss Elden Ring with others. It's unfortunate that many seem to either be incapable of understanding your point or purposefully misconstrue it. I'm mainly talking about those in the chat, but the others in the podcast also didn't seem that able or even inclined to respond to you constructively, or even that competently, and even when they had differing opinions. It's strange hearing the discourse around the game (I haven't played it btw) because a lot of what you criticise the battle system for (surprise attacks, poor incentivising, noncommunication of defense options from certain attacks), as well as some facets of the world design, I find from some of the others I've watched either do not affect them as negatively or are seen in a way as misinterpreting what is already communicated by the game. Of course there are many others I've seen that have had a miserable time with this DLC, but opinions vary wildly overall and it seems as if the reasons used to justify their evaluations at times contradict each other. I wonder if you'll have a better time talking with some of the more level headed content creators that have had a better experience than you at the game. I'm talking about Mugthief and Ratatoskr. I think you'll have a much more fulfilling experience discussing your thoughts of the game design with them.
@@Theottree GTA is like your typical hollywood action movie in the format of video game but RDR 1 and 2 have so much depth and great character writing. Highly recommend you play them if you haven't already
Is the elden ring video still on the Way? I feel like not enough people get some of the negatives that game has. Especially when certain people have started comparing it to every single game, and calling all games with bosses (Black myth wukong most notably) a soulslike?
@@Theottree hiding the "good" ending behind not killing the bosses is not exactly subtle. And it should be completely possible for the protag to kill every boss without using the medallion once, go home, have the best sleep ever, and then attain the whatever nirvana.
@@texteel Why should that be possible? And I didn't say the game was subtle. I said it doesn't spam you with the message. It is barely directly pointed at. The ending is the only real example.

Theo what's your (theological) take on Peter Griffin Fortnite?
Important
Nice. Now show this to Metal so he gets good at the game lmao
He'll get there 😉
Ah, my favorite Sifu channel has uploaded again :^)
But ye sick moves man.
This game needs more recognition
Damn right it does, I'm still annoyed with Elden Ring for (amongst other things) flattening it as Sifu came out just before
@@Theottree I'm just annoyed with Elden Ring in general tbh but yes also that kekw
So Elden Ring video when? 🧐
Damn this woman couldn't catch a break for 30+ years
Stop, Theo, you're gonna make me go back to grinding out my no death playthrough 😭
Damn this game looks like a Kung Fu movie, excited for the new video Theo!!
Just so we’re clear I’m now a lifetime sub but I eagerly await your Elden Ring video.
Yeah same
This game is the perfect example of getting jumped.
I knew about this game, but did not know it was this fun. reminds me a bit of godhand, just by observing it anyways.
I've heard from a friend who has played both that it's got similarities. Primarily with the dodge system

I don't really have thoughts on them or their narratives I'm afraid, sorry

Comment.
Better stop before someone starts thinking that you're a gamer or something equally disturbing...
Man, I was really enjoying the video, but even in the comments, you don't want to stop hating on elden Ring, and I still don't understand why
as amazing as teh gameplay is, I always hated this game preaching forgiveness and move on and revenge bad.
I mean... I don't think it should be or is all that controversial that revenge tends to not be great. Game isn't even really preachy about it.
