    Kapp-when you get all settled in and after hunting season i would see if you can find a farmer that has a heavy chisel plow or if you still have e your old moldboard plow i would turn all the food plot areas over and eliminate the roots on the fescue and pasture grasses. After you do that you it will make working up the soil a lot easier.

    Loredo are the original soy bean that modern day beans are derived from. They are NOT roundup ready, but the deer love em, especially the green forage.

      @@clarkwheeler8764 Clarkster, you be around as long as me. Had a chat with my old excavator buddy that did lots of drainage work for farmers. I suggested KAP HAS struggled with his plantings at every place and why not find a local farmer to advise him. My old buddy said, instead of spending all the money and fail what about having a local farmer plant it for him? Main planting season is over and they could use a little cash or maybe a trade for some Mini excavator drainage, road work. Of Course Joe if open to it, you know he could justify the price😂. Because I only had ONE shot at getting these beans in the ground. Between time and travel and weather constraints I did push the envelope. But as long as the tractor aint' overheating and no other pressures are bad it should not hurt anything. I'll get it in the shop soon, but they are 3 weeks out. But I felt that it was worth it, as I got nearly everything in the ground that I wanted to. Normally if I lived there I'd just use the other tractor or try to borrow one or call someone but since we are 5 hours apart, knee deep in moving and cleaning both places I did what I had to do. • @KapperOutdoors2.0
      @KapperOutdoors2.0  3 месяца назад

      First of all I had No control of when they came for the hay. So I had to do what I had to do. And I let them know I was planting and they got the hay cut before my beans germinated so they will be fine. So while I would have done it differently had I had someone set up to cut but they were basically taking it for free just to get it cut. It was a banner spring for rain, and therefore hay, so most farmers had an abundance of hay this spring which likely hurt us.
