Hi Aron sorry to hear of your loss. Thanks for reaction to Lucy & Martha. Martha is 5 years younger than Lucy. They have done around 9 songs together,In this song Lucy is 16 & Martha 11. Their Harmonies are absolutely beautiful.Lucy is the profesional singer Whereas Martha looks on singing as a hobby. She is heavily into Equestrian sports eg.Show Jumping and only sings occasional with Lucy. These people who keep saying Lucy is a one horse pony have no idea what they are talking about If they took the time to visit her Channel they will see that she covers most Genres from Country to Jazz. What do they want her to stand on her head and blow a whistle. Lucy´s calling is Musical Theatre She is staring in a new musical written for her opening in the Uk next year. A couple of Weeks ago Lucy did a concert in London´s West end at the theatre Royal Drury Lane ,the oldest and most prestigious theatre in the World. She sang a total of 21 songs had 9 standing ovations.and received a 5 star review fro the British msical press.I was at the concert and the atmosphere was amazing. Here is a synopsis of her review. "Now and again, maybe only a handful of times in a lifetime, you hear a voice so pure, so effortlessly beautiful and powerful when it needs to be, it gives you goosebumps, grabs your heart and so blows you away that the world suddenly feels a better place. The voice is so rich and lush with a lovely timbre to the lower register that some of us would be happy listening to her singing the telephone directory. Not once did she struggle with a note or force it. This young lady would be an asset to any West End musical and it’s just a question of which way she wants go.Sorry if this is a bit long winded.
To say Lucy Thomas is a 1 trick pony is about as daft and ludicrous as saying as a Rock band Radiohead are 1 trick ponies. She can sing any genre she likes and if she released an album called the Telephone Directory I'd still buy it because she is that good. 😂
I’m truly sorry for your loss. That was a great reaction, thank you. I recommend, specially near the Hollidays, Oh holy night and Mary did you know. Both are beautiful duets.
Thank you for that reaction. Lucy was 16 and Martha 11. I've never heard a more beautiful voice than Lucy, and never a more beautiful duet than Lucy and Martha. Together they sang 11 songs, each more beautiful than the last. They come from another world!
Martha was born to harmonise with Lucy. She is extremely gifted in delivering what I consider to be the more difficult part of a song. In the Arms of an Angel is another duet which shows her ability. Another great reaction from you. So sorry for your loss. ❤
For an adult to learn the art harmonisation is one thing but for an eleven year old, is beyond impressive. With Martha we have another vocal genius in the Thomas family
Those of us who love Lucy Thomas are not interested in fireworks in her covers, but in the incredible beauty of her voice. I still like to listen to other good singers, but Lucy makes everything she sings into a work of audible art. This is one of the first duets Martha did with her big sister (5 years, 8 months apart in age) and she has developed into a perfect duet partner for Lucy. Their covers of "The Prayer" and "Mary Did You Know" (great song to react to with Christmas coming) will knock you out when you hear them.
Marthas last recording with Lucy was almost a year ago, with Mary Did You Know, Martha has slowed her recording, most likely as to NOT be compared to Lucy. but sad, Martha is good !!
A lot of Lucy's videos convey good values: friendship, strong family bonds, kindness, humility, caring for others...Her soul is as beautiful as she is❤🥰👍
I felt their love for each other very strongly at the end as well. It too left me breathless for the same amount of beats it did you, and then tears followed. It is really great to see two sisters share this with each other. May you both continue to keep this alive and present with each other.
Appreciate the nice reaction to Lucy and Martha Thomas. As others have posted, Martha is 5 years 8 months younger than Lucy. I believe that Lucy is 16 and Martha is only 11. They are amazing as a duet! Most people become emotional listening to these two young ladies sing as they are stunning and beautiful. Their harmonies on this and other songs are hard to describe because they are so good. So the emotions first come from their singing. The love that they have for one another is obvious. My condolences for the loss of your brother. Seeing and hearing this video must bring back many memories, I hope that they are good ones. It must be difficult especially when it happens on camera. As to diversity of voice, people are born with their voice. Sometimes trauma or disease affects the voice but otherwise it is what we have. So diversity must be i genre which a review of Lucy's works reveals a diversity of genres. Other changes to the voice are often gimmicks rather than trying to sing what is written. Probably my favorite genre of music is big band jazz that has a lot of improvisations. Lucy shows that she can sing anything. Lucy performs many big ballads and if you are a musician, you realize that slower pieces provide the listener ample time to discern small problems with pitch, timbre, and technique. As a trumpet player, slow pieces are far more challenging than are fast ones. The same can be said of singing. Yet Lucy sings every song flawlessly. I traveled from Tennessee in the USA to London just to hear Lucy in person. She was far better in person. Not because of theatrics but just because she sings even better live! No recording tracks, no dancing, no light shows, just Lucy, a piano, and orchestra. She was phenomenal! She sang for 2,5 hours and was never sharp nor flat. She is the best that I have ever heard. I don't write because I am a fanatic for Lucy but rather that I am a fan of the best music that I can find and there is no singer in Lucy's league at the present time. I have listened to many of your reviews of other singers but find them all lacking. I will not leave negative comments about young singers as putting themselves out to be criticized seems cruel. Thise who are critical of Lucy because of lack of diversity are wrong and simply jealous. I can listen to Lucy for days on end but struggle to listen to all of a song by many other singers. Lucy is simply the best.
I’m an engineer with zero artistic ability. Having said that I do know perfection when I see and hear it. There are many vocalist that I really enjoy. But Lucy is the best I have ever heard in many different genres. So I agree Trent.
Lucy's voice is pure, no tricks no screaming, just pure perfection. She could sing anything! Martha is very close with Lucy. Martha has sang many duets with Lucy, but she prefers equestrian, she white the rider. Love them both, followed Lucy for years!!!
You said Martha was so little, and right you were! Though the camera didn’t show it, she was actually sitting on a stool here to give her face a good angle to Lucy’s face. I goosebump-love both their beautiful voices and lovely countenances so much! Two very special young ladies with a wonderful upbringing! ❤
So sorry for your loss. I lost my older brother ten years ago and there are times that it sneaks up on me and is physically painful. Watching Lucy and Martha brings me and I am sure so many others so much joy
Thank you for a great reaction. It has been said that in this video they are not just facing each other they are singing this to each other. Thay are 5 + years apart in age.
Aaron, Lucy and Martha’s rendition of “Mary, Did You Know” when older (last year, I think) is absolutely stellar and would be a wonderful Christmas reaction! Thank you for supporting Lucy and her music! I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. I understand because all three of my sisters are passed, which leaves me as the only sibling. 🙏😔
So sorry for the loss of your beloved brother Aaron, music has the ability to evoke so many memories, both good and bad. I’m glad you enjoyed Lucy n Martha , their harmonies are out of this world! Please try the Prayer and Mary did you know, both so fabulous!
This was their 3rd duet the prior one On The Arm Of The Angel is also magnificent and the one after this The prayer with Marha taking Andre Bocelli's part singing in Italian has crazy good Harmonisations. Marth is 5y 8m younger than Lucy.
Thank you for that A-Aron, the Thomas sister’s voices, do have such emotional power. I am sorry about your brother, so irreplaceable. 😟 The girls do a few duets, their version of ‘the prayer’ though is next level. Stunning. Also their duet O’Holy night, with Christmas coming. I would love to see your reaction to those.
k-did853 The Thomas Sisters are NOT Lucy and Martha, that is another group unrelated to lucy and martha!!! and there is another group just Thomas Sisters, singers but Not Lucy and Martha.....just a FYI
"Not diverse" Lucy has sang across multiple genres and covered everyone from Coldplay to Etta James and from Leonard Cohen to Barbara Streisand, I don't think you can get anymore dynamic or diverse then that and she sounds equally as comfortable singing in all the genres she covers I'd like to know who these birdbrains are who think she's limited? 😂 They're clearly not hearing the same Lucy Thomas as we all are!
Hello Aron, it is not easy to get over the death of a sibling, I am so sorry for your grief, listening to Lucy & Martha Thomas singing this famous song " You Raise Me Up " does not help. The sister's really bring home their love for each other & they sing this song just so beautifully it gets everybody the same way, no wonder they have over 19 million views for this cover it is just so beautifully to listen to. Take care, Barbara.
An emotional and poignant reaction, Aron, but you got it right first time - 11 and 16! Any one of these sister's duets is just so heartfelt, uplifting and beautiful. Many supporters believe that Lucy and Martha's cover of 'The Prayer' is the most beautiful duet ever recorded! I think so myself, but for others their cover of 'Mary Did You Know' fills that spot. Looking forward to your reaction to both, hopefully before Christmas! 😊
Thank you Aron, God bless you and your brother, and thank you for supporting Lucy Thomas Music and giving us the enjoyment that comes from watching others experience the beautiful sounds and emotions that Lucy (and Martha) can impart onto others ❤😊
Yes there is an enormous amount of love & respect between the girls,as regards to Lucy's detractors makin out she is a 'one trick pony' i think they should listen to more of Lucy's output!, At last" for one,"A whiter shade of pale" for another!,Lucy CAN change her delivery to sing in a range of styles but always with that stunning voice coming through!,i have lived through the sixties & so have heard many styles of music & love anything from the Beatles to Beethoven,as regards to Lucy there is something about her that keeps drawing me in!,she has mentioned that she would like to get into songwriting, hopefully adding yet another feather to her very acomplished bow!.P.s.Martha sings for pure enjoyment, her first love is for Equestrian!.the difference in age is 5 yrs 8 months,Martha was 15 on November 4th i believe & Lucy will be 21 on the 21st feb next year!.
A-Aron, suggestion for the next duets, "The Prayer," "The Climb," and "Mary Did You Know," being Christmas is getting close. Again, thank you for a great and insitful reaction.
@@Lobo53 So much of the info that all others are parroting is info I posted from MY research on the girls from the past !!!! Its all published info....IF you look for it !!!
Hey A-Aron. Hey I am so so sorry for your loss. I have lost three brothers and I only have two left. We will all meet again sometime. I listen to other singers some from the past and some from today. I really like some of AJ’s. I’m not much into jazz. AJ has a beautiful voice for sure. Anyway these two just sound so crazy good together. I would suggest “The Climb” by these two. Link: ruclips.net/video/482nqeAl6eU/видео.htmlsi=er_squaTLuhSP0UJ Thank you so much for supporting Lucy and Martha. Please stay safe, healthy, and free.
It's in their farm water. I'm looking for a partner to bottle it and sell it. Martha is 5 years 10 months younger than Lucy. In some of their early songs Martha was on a stool just to get her on camera. I don't know about versatility but I can say all the new angels go to the Thomas home to learn to sing. That's good enough for me to say they are among my favorite singers of this generation.. Thank you for the good show and sorry for your loss.😎
Nice reaction Aron. Lets talk about diversity. Lucy covers nearly all genres from Contemporary Pop, Folk, Classic Pop, Jazz, Rock, Classical Crossover, Musical Theatre and probably others I've missed. If that's not diverse, what the hell is. The detractors you talk of are just envious of this phenomenally talented musical prodigy.
Thanks but I don't think the diversity of genres is the issue others have but the diversity of her voice. From what I've heard, I agree that I know exactly what I'm getting but...I love it
@@A-AronReactsBut the same could be directed at Angelina and Adel. You've reacted to Lucy's live rendition of "At Last" with the jazzy smokey vibe, which is in complete contrast to the ethereal "Pie Jesu" where her voice is completely different. So a different genre a different song, a different voice. How diverse could you possibly get. For Lucy just to be mentioned on other singers channels should be taken as a back handed complement. It's not a competition, it's just wonderful we have these young artists coming through and keeping some of these old classics alive.
@@pedromancenithe3rd Well stated. It is a ridiculous ‘criticism’. Lucy sings many genres that requires different sounds from her voice. Every genre is done masterfully. ‘At Last’ is done as a rhythm and blues song similar to Etta James which one might expect to be difficult for Lucy but she is brilliant. Angelina Jordan sounds the same as does Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, and others. Such comments are from jealousy because Lucy is the best vocalist. Lucy can do what others do but they cannot do what Lucy does. Especially, they cannot convey the emotions that Lucy does and we all experience that in her music.
@@trentnichols942 I think you're right. All the artist you've mentioned, didn't "diverse" There's been a few trolls on some reactors channels that just love to get a reaction from Lucy's followers and it can be difficult not to take the bait. Lucy's made a rod for her own back being the master vocalist that she is, that some people won't except, is the real thing. By the way I watched your fascinating interview with Ryan and Cindy. A interesting insight to the wonderful evening you and your family enjoyed. So thank you for that.
I believe they are 12 and 17 in this video. Both of them started voice lessons at age 7. Love your reaction. There is 5 years and 8 months between them. As you watch more of their videos you will see Martha mature vary rapidly. Check "Mary Did You Know" for a more recent duet.
Sorry about your brother. Thanks for react. They differ 5y+8mo. Video is Dec 2 2020. Martha: just 11 here, got 15 early this month. Lucy almost 17, will be 21 end of Feb. 2025. Lucy is standing, Martha sitting on big stool. Today they are about equal length. They do duets abt 1-2/y Martha just for hobby. She is into equestrian (horses).
Martha here was but 11 years old only the third recording she had done with Lucy and the first song Martha got to sing some on her own....There is 5 years and 8 months difference in age and having raised 2 girls about the same difference in age the older sister, becomes a second mother to the younger sister. the way life happens, little sister follows and learns from big sister.......all this info on the girls is out there, but still there was a lot of talk with the wrong info....
Great reaction Aron! God blessed Lucy and Martha with beautifully angelic voices, and Lucy and Martha have blessed the world with heavenly harmonies. If you loved this, you will love their very best harmonizing. Please play and react to: "THE PRAYER"; - Ages 18 and 12 ruclips.net/video/Bbu6AII10Pk/видео.html “O HOLY NIGHT”; - Ages 17 and 12 ruclips.net/video/Bbu6AII10Pk/видео.html "MARY DID YOU KNOW" (stunning harmonization) - Ages 19 and 14 ruclips.net/video/YNp4BP-QcLY/видео.html Enjoy, Hopelessly Addicted in Arizona
Lucy and Martha are not only vocally "out of this world", but the can convey emotions as well. I follow Lucy for years now and it is a joy to do that. As you mentioned: there are so many more very good singers and I am following a few others as well. It simply is not possible to follow them all. And Lucy is at fill power now: in September she had a concert in Japan, last month in Westend (London). Impressive stuff going on with her. What amazes me time after time is that warmth in Lucy's voice. It sounds so peaceful to me, even when she is belting. But I have a suggestion for you: Emma Kok from the Netherlands, a 16 year old with her own unique voice. Emma is a small (due to very serious chronic health problems) girl who is used to perform with conductor/violinist André Rieu for 10.000+ audiences. Last summer she has performed her very own song (not a cover): "Dancing on the stars" (has 10 million views by now). In summer 2023, when she was 15, her break through was with "Voilà" (Here I am) a song from French singer Barbara Pravis (has over 70 million views already). But be prepared when you decide to react on it, because Emma can bring her entire audience to tears. It is the combination from her voice and her story, told by André Rieu when he introduces her on stage.
Do YOU not think and understand that Martha knows she is not at Lucy's level???? Martha is 5 years and 8 months younger, their ages are 11 for Martha and 16 for Lucy, just check the dates these are posted....also just listen to the song before you run your mouth with wrong info >>>>> Also Martha is sitting on a stool to get up closer to Lucy's heights !!!
After listening to your reaction another time, A-Aron, I want to address people who think that Lucy is not ‘diverse’ enough and your comments about numerous artists. As a reactor, you are listening to Lucy’s performances at a glacial pace compared to the rest of us who consumed a lot of her work in a short period of time. I have heard all of her RUclips posted music multiple times. She has as diverse a book as any other star level singer. If by diversity, folks mean gimmicks such video clips that add visual things that compete with the singer, dancers, or odd vocal sounds not traditionally part of singing, then I do not classify that as singing and does not constitute diversity. In my 70 years on this earth, I have heard many singers and being in a medium sized city with a large major university, many of those singers have performed locally. As an amateur musician, I have gone to many concerts but never was moved enough by any singer to purchase tickets until I heard Lucy sing. I got up to be online at 4 am to get good seats for Lucy’s concert in London. She is that good. Her 2.5 hour concert was phenomenal. Perfect pitch all night. Hit every note perfectly with no need to scoop or slide into notes. She had 9 standing ovations and all well deserved - could have been more. I have heard many top musicians but never 9 standing ovations. A-Aron, you have said that ‘Hallelujah’ was perfect and had ‘no words’. She has given you goosebumps, shown exquisite abilities to emote a variety of feelings, and you have said that she can do anything that she wants with her voice. I totally agree. I have listened to a number of other vocalists on your channel and others. Some I find difficult to enjoy despite being favorites on your site or others. Some I find to be good but none are as good as Lucy. She is clearly the best singer that I have ever heard. Her technique, breath control, and ability to emote. So when faced with a decision on whom I will watch performances, it is a short list with Lucy being the best so I listen to her preferentially over other singers. Musically, I like symphonies, chamber music, big bands, and small jazz groups. Favorite bands would be Don Ellis, Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich, Count Basis, Duke Ellington, etc. That is a diverse group between Don Ellis and chamber music. These are the reasons that I prefer Lucy Thomas to nearly all other singers. Martha Thomas shows much ability but it is my understanding that she does not plan on a career in singing. There is a young lady who has a a lot of talent and sings very well but has not appeared on reactor channels yet. This is not meant as a criticism or to be argumentative but rather an explanation that might be shared by other Lucy Thomas supporters to a greater or lesser extent.
Lucy is 4 years older than Martha. They have a number of duets together. If you want to see them more grown up. Look at their duet of THE CLIMB. Forget the naysayers -I agree her voice is incredibly clear and beautiful and she has many styles as well as the great voice. Nice reaction.
Beautiful reaction Aron , never worry about the tears as they always flow for me as well when I see or hear Lucy and or Martha. I too lost a brother I am 64 now but lost him when I was 13 and he was 20. I often think of what he could have been and how I would have been with him. So sorry for your loss and I know its a cliche but time does heal. Take care.

Glad to see you back. 👍
Wow she doesn't even look 17 to me....like 15 at most here to me. Thanks

Thank you so much for supporting Lucy and Martha.
@@pedromancenithe3rd My pleasure. Whatever I can do to get the word out further about Lucy.
I believe they are 12 and 17 in this video. Both of them started voice lessons at age 7. Love your reaction. There is 5 years and 8 months between them. As you watch more of their videos you will see Martha mature vary rapidly. Check "Mary Did You Know" for a more recent duet.
👍Thanks for this information. A great performance. 🖖❤
darylritche NOPE !!! 11 and 16 !!! Get it right !!!
She is into equestrian (horses).
more than 5 yrs apart, and please let it play more than 15 secs to make remarks. Enjoy the Beauty of the Song Man
Respect!.😊
If you listen as the photo montage shows you will see that the scene changes are synchronized with the music.
They are 11 and 16 Martha turns 15 this month Lucy is 21 next February.
Martha Nov 4 2009 Lucy Feb 21 2004...to be exact !!!
Aron, Eva Cassidy (R.I.P) also had a very clear and wonderful voice. 😀
Great reaction Aron!
God blessed Lucy and Martha with beautifully angelic voices, and Lucy and Martha have blessed the world with heavenly harmonies.

Lucy is 5Y and 8M older.
5 years 8 months age difference 👍
Beautiful reaction Aron , never worry about the tears as they always flow for me as well when I see or hear Lucy and or Martha. I too lost a brother I am 64 now but lost him when I was 13 and he was 20. I often think of what he could have been and how I would have been with him. So sorry for your loss and I know its a cliche but time does heal. Take care.
