PRINCE HARRY SAYS 'NO WAY' TO MEGHAN MARKLE IN THE UK!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been at the center of a media storm, and if there's one thing the Duke of Sussex is resolute about, it's defending his wife. Amid ongoing legal battles with British tabloids, Prince Harry has unveiled the genuine reasons for his concern over the safety of Duchess Meghan Markle.
In a recent interview as part of the documentary “Tabloids on Trial,” Prince Harry pointed fingers at the tabloids, accusing them of largely contributing to the danger Markle faces in his home country.
“The U.K. is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the United States,” he asserted. “That cannot happen if there is no possibility to keep them safe when they are on U.K. soil.”
The Duke elaborated on the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures’s (RAVEC) decision to strip his family of royal protection, making it almost impossible for him to bring his wife back to the U.K. in good conscience.
Despite offering to personally cover the security costs, Prince Harry's proposal was rejected. Determined to appeal the decision, he emphasized that his family's safety remains his top priority. According to People, a legal spokesperson stated, “The Duke is not asking for preferential treatment, but for a fair and lawful application of RAVEC’s own rules, ensuring that he receives the same consideration as others in accordance with RAVEC’s own written policy.”
In a 2022 interview with Channel 4 News, Neil Basu, the former Head of British Counterterrorism, disclosed that there were “disgusting and very real” threats against Markle during her time in the U.K.
“It’s still dangerous, and all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read,” Prince Harry said. “And whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is, and these are things that are of genuine concern for me. It’s one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country.”
Prince Harry highlighted the relentless targeting by the tabloids towards him and Markle, which ultimately drove their decision to step away from the British Royal Family in 2020, shortly after the birth of their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. He also drew parallels between the treatment of his wife and the tragic passing of his late mother, Princess Diana, in 1997.
The Duke has long blamed the tabloids for his mother’s death, and he is determined not to let history repeat itself. “I can’t put my wife in danger like that, and given my experiences in life, I’m reluctant to unnecessarily put myself in harm’s way too,” he stated.
Since relocating to the U.S., Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have expanded their family with the birth of their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. Despite a few visits to the U.K. since 2020, Markle has not returned since the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.
The Prince revealed that, despite his grandmother’s support in his battle against the tabloids, his decision has caused ongoing tension within the Royal Family.
“I think everything that’s played out has shown people what the truth of the matter is,” he said. “For me, the mission continues. But it has caused part of a rift.”
In a legal victory last year, Prince Harry was awarded $177,000 after winning a lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers. He accused the press of using unlawful phone hacking to gather confidential information for tabloid stories, according to CNN.
