i was just imagining that Dushan Petrossi joins Fairyland and was stunned upon getting the new Magic Kingdom and finding that Phil joined them instead. Yes im a little psychic, but the point is FAIRYLAND should never break up! There are few productions indeed with such capacity of musical fervor, and it all comes from the genius mind of one very inspirational Mr Phil GIORDANA. O Please SIR, Fairyland needs its noble knight. do not let such MAGIC be forgotten!!!
I love that video! Very well done... the beginning with the riders of Rohan is just perfect. I think Fairyland and LOTR works very well. Thanks for sharing :o)
That is so true, same over here, there are some excellent australian underground bands like the berzerker or the amenta, but sometimes bands don't like the mainstream publicity that most bands thrive on, its good to know that people still listen to bands' music and go to their gigs and stuff and know that those bands aren't gonna make it big or anything, cause they don't want that kind of attention
Yeah I like the sound of Magic Kingdom so far- just ploughing though metallic tragedy at the moment. Very very cool guitar and synth work. They sound like their name too^-^ Gotta listen to this on full volume!
yeah!...power metal is the best:D Rhapsody, Fairyland, Sonata Arctica...and the oter bands composes music with symphonic styles (not too amateur ones ofcourse:D...quality ones)...they're the real musicians of this age with their fantastic sound:D
comparto tu sufrimiento......hace tanto que esperamos a fairyland, kamelot........mmmh que mal pero pro ahora me deleito escuchandolos en vivo :D saludos desde México!!!
One of the best (if not the greatest) symphonic metal albums ever. It's a shame Fairyland is a guest project only now, basically a more symphonic/fantastic Ayreon, but I still can't wait for Score To A New Beginning. Though I wonder why Across The Endless Sea was a *bonus* track on Fall Of An Empire, yet ATES Part 2 is the first real song on STANB.
I agree but im quite shure that he can manage this without them. Phil says himself : " I am and have always been the song writer, also taking care of the lyrics and vocal lines, plus the concept behind my music. So there is no reason why I should stop doing so"
You should explain this to people on Rhapsody`s forum, Phil. Most of them still believe that the main source of income for metal bands is by touring. I told them many times that lots of bands don`t make money by touring, but often loose money instead. People there have the habit to take their illusions for reality.
Glad you all like it :) if you have some wishes considering a another song i will make a video for that as well. Now im working on a video for Eldanie Uelle and Son of pain by Rhapsody of fire.
When all is said and done, for a band to survive and offer good quality albums and live-shows, it needs the support of a label, support which won't be lasting long if the CD sells fail, because all in all, a label doesn't give a crap if you filled a big venue and sold t-shirts. That's not the way their accounting works. Hope I cleared things up a bit...
Oh, and just to clear things up: When we toured with kamelot in 2007 for 10 gigs across Europe, people usually enjoyed the show a lot, and yet we ended up with a (very) negative account at the end of the tour. Concert cost money, and reducing musicians to "gone are the days when a band could spend some time in the studio and get an album, then sit around and just collect there money. This indestry is becoming what most musicians get into it to avoid." is a bit degrading for all active musicians.
I never said it was right, I just said sometimes it can't be helped. I'm not "Supporting" theft. And come on, when I get the money I get, the last thing i think about is spending it on a CD when the download link is right in front of me. I get hardly any money as it is.
Well, theft is theft. No one can do anything about it. The only thing I can hope is that if the offender likes the album, he will try to support it by buying it, or a t-shirt, or whatever. Everyone be aware that low sells due to piracy can actually bring a band down. The labels won't option the next album, or will do it with a low budget, resulting in a crappy production. Now I can understand a struggling guy downloading and waiting for the right time to buy the stuff. But please contribute!
i agree with that. i mean your words about sonata arctica. their keyboard style is different. plus unfortunately sonata's drummer is not as talented as the other bands's drummers that i've mentioned...i also liked your "The best songs, in my opinion, you can tell where the song's going but it doesn't sound bland or repetitive. Tricky balance..." words. Definitely explaines my taste of music:) - by the way Magic Kingdom's second album "metallic tragedy" is pretty good too..try it:)
Playing live COSTS a LOT of money, except if you are a big headliner. Who do you suppose pays for that financial cost? The band, through its label's tour support policy. Playing in small venues doesn't get that much money, even sometimes not at all. yet we have to record, press and distribute our albums, and pay for our gigs' organization. Only the label can help, and the label will do so only if the sales are interesting for them. (Continued bellow)
I do not know what Jihad said there :P , well i can help you with that Phil , swedish is more easy than it sounds actually .. Odorf : Tack så mycket Odorf :) *bockar* , men du är jätte duktig också med sådant ..om du behöver hjälp med dina videos så fråga mig !
The point i'm making is that you can't tell me to buy a CD when it's almost impossible. Find me a Deathgate Arkanum CD and i'll pay for it. But you will never find it. I bought this album, but i download what I can't find.
Yes, but you might forget an important point: The band is here to release albums. The electronic distribution is not viable enough (with piracy and stuff) to make up for a Cd. Also, a Cd is an object, which many fans love to have (I know I do). Lives and merch are all very good, but it doesn't make the band live. Not even a little. Sells going down means the death of the band, on more or less long terms. (Continued bellow)
LOL only recently started listening to this band went from rebirth to this and i did not exspect the pounding gutairs lol not thats its bad just made me jump XD works well 4 me tho cos i like power metal also :)
Good luck finding underground metal CD's in England. Sometimes it can't be helped. Stop seeing things in black and white and think about WHY some people download them. I buy CD's when i can, but finding them is a bitch and paying for them is hard too. Seriously, it's too much to pay for a circular piece of metal that plays music.
Yeah they're all good, but a lot of the songs lack direction. Sonata arctica a bit less so but they don't create the same epic atmosphere. Dragonland are pretty cool too but lack direction again. The best songs, in my opinion, you can tell where the song's going but it doesn't sound bland or repetitive. Tricky balance...
This band has quite obviously copied Rhapsody. The song structure, string arrangement, sweep solos. The singer lets them down. He's obviously trying to sound like Fabio Lione but without the balls and he can't sing in key as well as Fabio. I just found out that this band is French, which explains why they don't have balls.
Hi there , the name of the vocalist is Max Leclerqe .. Elisa is just the singer on the first album ;)
Take care /Alex
I love this band.

Yaaaaay! I love Fairyland, and that is also my favourite song. =)

this vid is awesome!!! it's cut in all the right places!!!!!
IT'S EPIC :D
Thank you , glad you like it :D
Fairyland and Rhapsody of Fire are my two favourite Symphonic metal bands.
I see classical influences... its so great!
Yeah I like the sound of Magic Kingdom so far- just ploughing though metallic tragedy at the moment. Very very cool guitar and synth work. They sound like their name too^-^ Gotta listen to this on full volume!
Yay, Fairyland rocks!!!!!
yeah!...power metal is the best:D

As everybody says, buy the CD, anyway, you can try searching blogs or forums for a download.

Great band, sad to hear about the rest of the band leaving poor Phil though...

The Vocalist(Max Leclerqe ex-Magic Kingdom) is AMAZING....check 4:19....his voice is really powerfull and beautiful....he must be more popular
You can actually listen to the albums for free on Deezer. But Killswitch is right: just buy the albums, I need the money XD
I have a video finished for in duna as well but it will take sometime to for it to appear here.
i think fairyland and heavenly r the best symphonic power metal bands, just my opinion :)
Hmm, never heard of this band before, pretty neat.
They sound a little bit like Rhapsody of Fire. Great Band!
To see our kingdom fall into darkness !!!!
This band and song are so fucking EPIC!!!
New album is going on now ;) check Fairyphil's channel, the name of album will be godsend i think
Hey nice idea to add some LOTR parts on the song
Piwee Fairyland drummer

Hey Lord! Maybe you could point out a topic on the forum that is related to this matter? I'll catch you there!

"By my logic"?
I disagree. I buy whenever i can. But when i can't find it anywhere and i desporitely want it, I have no choice.

What movies are they using for this
OK maybe but I thing you forgot about old NIGHTWISH, in my opinion this group with Tarja was the best symphonic metal band. Best Regards for all
LOL only recently started listening to this band went from rebirth to this and i did not exspect the pounding gutairs lol not thats its bad just made me jump XD works well 4 me tho cos i like power metal also :)
They were also the first of their kind, but why do you all insist on arguing over various bands instead of enjoying the one of this video?
Yeah it was a little bit stupid to put in Mordor there.
Ok. I have to learn swedish...:)
Regissör xD ?

Yay, take everything i say out of context, offend my character, and make it look as if you are right!
Grow up.
