From what I remember this show was basically just The Southern Golden Girls but Meshach Taylor helped make it feel a little different. He was of the rare breed of black stars from that time in predominantly white shows that not only became very popular but got emmy nominated for the role, others being such gems as Robert Gulliame, Tim Reid and Ron Glass. I also remember always seeing this dude on something whether it was Class Act with Kid N Play or the sitcom All of Us as Neesee's deadbeat dad lol R.I.P.

He was so good. ❤I love the one where they go on a weekend in the woods. They call Anthony to bring them some food. He gets caught by the head person and puts on a pink hat and scarf. He tells them his name is Cindy Birdsong. Hilarious!

When this Man was cast on this show, the fun began. And for someone who was unfortunately incarcerated those women spent more than enough time either accused of crimes, or in jail. I have seen him in movies which he was cast in roles not normally given to Black Actors but always made his role memorable.
