Sam, do you think you could make a video on the ways you could render a video from Unity. I was thinking of using Unity for motion graphics, it has some features that make it uniquely well suited for certain kinds of motion graphics. The final piece of that puzzle is how to get a video out from Unity (other than just using screen recorder software).
Not so quick note on the Box Projection setting for the reflection probe. Box Projection is intended for reflections that change a lot as you get closer to the reflective-item. In other words, things that just aren't that far away. A reflection that's 50 meters away won't change much if you happen to get one or two meter's closer to the reflection, but a reflection that's five meters away can change a lot if you get one or two meters closer (this is what the Box Projection setting is for). If Box Projection is turned off, then the reflection won't really change as you get closer (or further) from the reflection; well the reflection might change because the player object is changing position as they move around, but its the way that things are reflected won't change. This is a lot like how a shadow's size doesn't change as an object gets closer or further from a directional-light; the position changes but the size stays the same. It took me a few dives into the Unity documentation before this started to click, but I think one of the reasons this didn't click right away was because the name doesn't really help much. I suspect the name may have a literal meaning that's based on how it works, but that doesn't really help someone that's new to this.
im trying to bake a mountain terrain, but when I click auto generate, with progressive CPU or progressive GPU, doesnt work, stuck at 8% ): ... what Can I do?
Hello, could you recommend a video lesson on lighting in Unity, where all the knowledge on the instrument is given, but with an emphasis on demonstrating models. lighting of Units in the hangar, lighting and presentation of vehicles, weapons, creation of where, how and why there should be backlight, front or backlight, add glare, why a shadow is drawn or vice versa is missing, or is cut off when it should be.
@@drewmileham202 Do you have both a hdri skymap and a directional light at the same time? What if i want realistic lighting? The sun is about a 100 000 lux, how do I deal with that in the post processing? Are there some specific tips on where to put light probes? Hdrp specifics? How to deal with baking taking forever on large trains. Would be cool to have someone experienced point out all the gotchas, so I don't have to.
@@johanhelsing Ah I see, I guess it depends on what kind of landscape your making. Like close up forests or distant mountains ect, and what time of day it is and such. Lots of variables go into a nature scene.
This tutorial is really cool ! However the ending result is not the one you put on the miniature of the video ^^' ? Do you have a more complete tutoriel to reach this result ?
Just one question as I'm using mixed lighting and you are using realime. Is it okay to use realime lighting instead of mixed one to create levels as realtime lighting is quite heavier for system?
Last month I was searching for real like looking lighting and graphics for unity because I worked for an architect to make his drawing life like walkable in VR, WHY TF DID YT NOT GIVE ME YOUR VIDEO? Still got a decent product together

It's been discontinued from the packages and is now integrated in unity itself. Just go on camera > add component > Volumes. I did this on URP so i don't know if it will work for you.
can you help ? i can't make the scene dark as in 1:30. I tried to delete all the light , but the scene won't go dark, it's still very bright even there's no light at all. Do you have any solution ?
Wow! this is what I've been looking for. Explained in short and so cool. Subscribed :) I do have one doubt though: I've tried once the Postprocessing effect when I added the AO and Color grading the effects affected my UI elements though. How do I overcome such problems? please help :|
ok that was really not very helpful for those who already know the basics of Unity and want to push their photorealism game. the manual has better tips and the result of your example was not realistic at all. a great video on how to do a basic lighting setup, but your result didn't even go near the result of the particular asset as it comes from the store.
@@EricWilliamsCG Hehe,, I actually like the way he says button, I am guessing some of these pronunciation issues stem from whichever his native language is, it must be difficult to get some things right in English depending what your native language is, so I don't mean to be harsh on the guy, I am sure he's doing his best, plus he's making free tutorials and sharing knowledge so yeah, props to him.
Actually it is available the HDRP version! If you have already bought the package from the asset store, you can download the HDRP version here: oneirosvr.com/portfolio/archvizpro/
Hello my post processing is not showing post processing layer and not also in camera layer can you please help me i'm stuck it there. all other camera in scenes are off..
Can u make a video on how to import 3DS MAX architecture building models into UNITY and make the First Person POV interaction possible. Love you're work. Cheers!!
The metal I-beams were too shiny. Dark colored metal doesn't reflect light like that. It looks like an old fashioned type of lighting effect from years ago.
Hej, am new here and watched the devalope tutorial and am here to ask some questions. And also can l messages out or only comments. We’ll see ya and hope l get get better and better for what am trying on in my life. Hej då: bye. I was thinking to be a developer when l was like 14 or 15 in ninety grade but l gave up becuase l did not had enough grads to study it but now l can watch and develop my self. Thx for the Video.
It's just a shame that this has nothing to do with the lighting in the game, where the camera is moving, you can leave this location and all the lighting must be done under the day and night system.
Your channel and Brackeys really helps to the community to make our games more like a AAA indie games! Both of you deserve more subs!! THANKS A LOT!!

Really helpful, nice work bro.
You could have added shader, and don't use layers at point light just use it as sunshine + disable shadows for main light
Which resources are best qnd will my blender lighting setting qnd particle trqnsfer over to unity smoothly where i can just add bloom ect.

thanks for sharing Skyoo
You used great assets in this video
thanks!
I am not seeing environment and other components in my lighting settings window. Is this because I have HDRP loaded?
probably
Awesome video. Thank you very much.
I would be really interested in how to do lighting for a larger landscape kind of scene
Just put down a directional light in your scene, and screw around with rotation, color, and intensity of the light until it looks nice.

SubSurface Scattering on rhe leafs and stuff.

Late response but you can stack the UI in a separate layer that isn't rendered by the main camera
Link for 3d house?
Do a archviz unity tutorial beginner to advance
Damn so this is in the built in render pipeline, since you're using box projection

Is there any way you can provide us with the 3d model so we can follow along?
