I use those candle bases to humidify my plants. Put rocks in them, pour water over rocks and sit you plants on them. Perfect humidification in winter and pretty

I have an IKEA kitchen and it's absolutely fantastic - so grateful every day for how functional it is. All drawers under the counter and I would never go back.
How long have you had it? Any changes in the hinges or drawers etc.
@ It is now 10 years and I haven't had a single issue with it. I had an excellent person to install it, and I know he did an extra step to secure to the wall, but really, as far as functionality goes, it has been perfect so far.

So good to go along with you shopping, I love that you listed the prices as well! Love modern decor & IKEA certainly gives a modern feel on so many items. After living in Europe for quite a few years I can appreciate the store & how the quality of the materials have been upgraded.

I had my contractor install an IKEA kitchen in my last house. It was his first time installing them and they turned out great. In fact, I truly believe that kitchen is what sold my house so quickly. I highly recommend the drawers and the cabinet for your trash can! Thanks for the tour...that blue bed was really cute👍

Those blue IKEA bags might be the best buy there. I use them for so many things, including carrying laundry up and down the stairs. So much lighter than laundry baskets; and they fold away

My cousin and I installed my ikea kitchen after I had it professionally measured and used the ikea kitchen planner. It was dead simple. We had it done in a day. Seriously not difficult. Ymmv. My kitchen is relatively
small and I didn’t order any interior upgrades. One thing I would recommend for sure is to buy only drawers for the bottom cabinets except for the sink base. Best decision I ever made. Drawers are deep,roomy and easy to access.
Too bad i have two dead corners in my soon to be new U shaped IKEA kitchen where I can only place those shelves that move like a lazy Susan. Otherwise I would also do only drawers on the bottom.
This is great advice! Did they cut the hole for the sink for you or did you do that yourself?
@@taveasanderson9375 Even easier than cutting a hole for the sink: I bought their farmhouse sink and a sink base that would accommodate it. I got the last real butcher block counters that ikea sold and put those in first. Then the sink sits on the countertop edges. Silicone caulk and Voilé! Done. It looks great and cost very little. I think the whole kitchen was less than $3000 countertops, sink and faucet included.

If your Ikea plates have scratches on them just take a sponge (with a rough side) and some powder cleaning product and just scrub those with the rough side of the sponge. They will look like new :)

I love that in this episode I learned the actual pronunciation of some of Ikea’s items. Lol!! I was in Ikea two days ago buying shelves to my Besta unit. It’s nice to know how it really sounds. I’ll pronounce it properly for now on. Lol!

I'm with ya - yay IKEA! ;-) I'm tempted to try out the Stockholm velvet sofa for our sunroom ( or, as my hubby likes to call it, the "river room" because of the beautiful view ). The sofa looks comfy and deep (much better perspective seeing you sitting in it than the picture online) and seems like the perfect place to nap or read a book on a lazy Sunday afternoon. PS Love that cream boucle jacket !!

Ikea isn't really my style (a bit too modern and sleek for my tastes), but I have to admit, after watching this, the quality of their products has improved considerably, from the assemble-it-yourself college dorm room type stuff that I used to associate with them. The items in this video seemed very high end. I should say that I do have an Ektorp loveseat, chair and ottoman (with custom slipcovers that I commissioned), as they were the only pieces of that type that I could find that would fit into my smallish condo living room, and they've held up extraordinarily well.

The citrus lime candle is so pretty! You seem so tidy, when you buy new things like in this video for your house, do you also discard a few things so you don’t have too many items? I struggle with staying tidy!

I always use the cream sauce mix to thicken my gravy (and stretch it). So natural tasting and no one has ever guessed.

Dates at IKEA are the best! My husband and I had our first date at IKEA! This was back when we broke 22 year olds who one of us was homeless and unemployed (actively looking for a job though). It was a free day at the Walker Art Museum in Minneapolis. So we got dressed up and went on our first official date which was going to the art museum and then we went to IKEA for 50 cent hotdogs amd $1 ice cream cones because that’s all we could afford at the time.
10 years later IKEA hot dogs are now extremely nostalgic for us (even though they are terrible they are so good because of the memory) and we’ve both found successful careers and are in the process of trying to buy a house! 🥰🥰🥰

After all the hype around ikea, I went to one of their stores a month ago for the first time... probably won't be going again. Nothing wrong with their designs, I just found their couches way too low and everyone I know has ikea in their house, so no wow factor for me..I love originality. In saying that, maybe if I went with someone that knows their way around the store, I might have enjoyed it more. I love how you priced everything for us..Thank you for taking us along, I enjoyed our date lol😉
We installed their kitchen ourself. We had is measured and designed at ikea it was a pain to install but we saved so much money

Our first new kitchen was a wooden Ikea kitchen.Years later, we renovated the house and we got a kitchen bigger than our living room.
We looked on marketplace and Yes! We found the same kitchen twice. We bought them both and I painted all the cabinets and change the hardware. Everyone was thinking we had a new kitchen. We literally have that kitchen for 23 years. Than we moved out.

Have the plates. Unfortunately the light color shows lots of scrape marks in no time. But I love the black ones and they have held up.

I love going to IKEA, but my hubby hates it because of the crowds of people, we went one day through the week and he had a way better experience Lol 😂, but still doesn’t like the way it’s set out like a maze, I don’t know how many times we’ve gotten lost inside that store but if I could drive myself to it I’d go by myself just to browse around at all the decor pieces that they have, we purchased hubby’s office cabinets from IKEA and they look great, but it was get in get what you want and get out Lol 😂, week days are the best days when it’s not so busy even here in Australia 🇦🇺.
