My son’s name is London, and I’m chuckling at the similarities to your son in this video. My son has a thing for blankets, especially soft fuzzy ones, and has about 6 on his bed right now. He also lovessss to dress up and walked in wearing his SWAT costume as I was watching this. 🤗🤗
The reason I am here is that We just bought a traditional looking old apartment, but we don’t have much budget at the moment for the entire rooms renovation. I am hoping to add some modern feel into our home ( to achieve transitional style) and your channel is just so perfect and addictive! I have learn a lot how to spot a luxurious good quality piece without spending too much and what can be improve in our home from you! Thanks so much! 💕Love love this episode!
If the advice is welcome, target has great furniture online( just be sure to measure) and outdated cabinets and counters can be covered in high quality really thick contact paper ( blow dry the corners and PULL and calk the edges) and floor pops stick tile business really has some modern choices that are so thick and so sticky ( calk around the edges of the room and toilet) I had to do all of this because my condo was built in the 70’s with no updates except the 90’s linoleum. What I would give for hardwood!
My hubby doesn't see pillow zippers either. You should see how he stacks the pillows on the bed. He does it on purpose and every time I laugh my head off.

Always love your videos! My husband and I lived in Europe - three years in Germany and two years in Belgium. I really miss the design style of the houses there. Charming exterior with modern/minimal interior. Your style reminds me of it a bit!
I understand embracing minimalism. It sure makes life easier and frees up the soul. It's important to not go TOO minimal bcz then our houses will be sterile, cold, and lifeless. Be sure to make our homes warm and inviting, and add some color.😊

Their home is warm and inviting. She clearly puts a lot of thought into what she brings into it and so lovely to see the entire family involved in decorating their space. Far cry from "sterile, cold and lifeless" also neutrals are not colourless....
Thanks for the Target shopping trip. I used to work at Target part time as a second job. Hardly took a check home. So nice with a discount. It has come a long way since I worked there. Your kids are just fabulous. Enjoy them. This time flies by. Beautiful house. Beautiful family. Beautiful life. Lucky couple you are. I think the wall in the garden would look nice but it doesn’t look bad back there. I did add a wall myself this year. It turned out great.

Oh no you're thinking of pulling out plants from your yard? It's so beautiful the way it is. I don't agree with making nature "minimal" , but whatever works for you! Hopefully you get them to pull from roots so things can be replanted elsewhere.
I’d worry that removing the roots of the trees would cause additional soil erosion! I could see using stone to retain the soil as an alternative, but since plant leaves prevent more water from landing on the soil, and shrub roots help hold the soil in place… removing the greenery might make the mudslides worse, and that would really be a bummer, because it’s a lovely outdoor space :
I agree. I love the way your backyard looks. Maybe just add 2 to 3 brick or stone high edge for a border to keep the torrent of rain pushing the landscape from going on the lawn?
I agree...it's gorgeous the way it is.
Planting a layer of walking iris at base of slope is an alternative, they multiply and you can create a thicket of threefold to prevent water spillage.
Less formal is stones used as 'faux creek' as little maintenance, get stone colour you prefer, great lizard habitat.
At lowest point can add a long narrow pond that takes very little from grassed area, always fun to decorate!
More formal is layer of french lavender, always great particularly as bees especially attracted to purple plants.
Agree with other poster, we had neighbors that didn't use an arborist and just diy'd removing a bunch of mature trees and shrubs including roots and it created a pool in their backyard because the root system absorbs excess waterfall, when in doubt I always check with a landscape architect, master Gardener, or arborist (check your local state or university agriculture program a lot of them do surveys for free!!)
