- This OKW kit is so goddamn snappy and punchy. I simply cant decide which one to use right now: The P4 Matt Halpern kit or OKW Modern Fusion.
Enjoy the video and alot of mistakes. As you know, I do alot of raw takes.
Once I can finally get it to work without the crazy latency and clipping issues- I can’t wait to finally use mine. I’ve had it for just months now and I got so furious with it I just gave up
Are you having latency/clipping issues cuz of slow PC or?
@@SamiK1989 pc is more than capable to run the program that’s what the frustrating part was- or maybe it might be my interface. I thought it may have even been my Kit (I have a Yamaha DTX760k) that was the culprit. I’ll have to jump back in
The hi hats were an absolute nightmare

Very cool, man. I just purchased Modern Fusion last night. I don’t have an E-Drumset but I do a lot of programming on my keyboard and DAW editor. It looks and sounds like you got this thing totally locked in with your set! 👊

how do you map out your cymbals to work? im having trouble with them and ive spent tons of time trying to figure it out please let me know, or if anyone else can help
What problems do you have with mapping?
@@SamiK1989 my hi hats don’t seem to respond to closed and open hits. It’s either one or the other

I got the ggd Halpern v5 kit yesterday and I can't get the hihat to work probably with my td27.. driving me insane
What issues are you having with it?
@@SamiK1989 I got it working finally 🥁 The only issue now is the velocity seems of, All the drums are so low and it's kinda annoying to switch up the velocity on every preset when it loads.. They could do so much better
@@Fishplants Yeah I know what you mean! Im trying to Use just one preset since I dont wanna start Changing the velocity curves etc all the time 😅🧠🥁
Hey I have a question about setting up an ekit with GGD, is there any ekit where you could somehow save the ggd samples to the module or do you have to only use it with a DAW? Also would you say this set up is good for tracking drums or do you think its better to just program the drums? Sick drumming btw!
Hey, i was wondering if you had latency ? I have a td12 with scarlett 4i4 plugged in midi to my computer. My i7 is pretty good and Fl Studio tells me that i have 2ms latency overall (i set my buffer size to 16, i see people using 64 or eveb 128 but it adds even more latency.
But it doesn't feel as low latency than when i trigger my module, the latency with the vst is noticeable and very distracting when playing, like it just doesn't feel right. Do you experience the same ? Is it normal ?
At first, i tought i could play with my all mixed kit, i quickly understood that this would not be possible, but even when i turn all the processing down, it still doesn't feel good
Hello! I have basically zero latency running every GGD drumlibrary I have. Hmm that sounds wierd man. My buffer size is set to 128 (Yes 128!) and as I said I have zero latency. Join my facebook group "GGD E-Drumming Only" and ask the same question over there. Im sure one guy called "Martin Trommler" can help you out!
Btw, we have the exact same scarlet 4i4. And I have a pretty old i5 CPU with 8GB of RAM.
@@SamiK1989 ok thanks, so that should not come from my hadware. I must surely have done something wrong because i really can't believe people would play with such latency.

What cool also is that if i could get it too run with no latency like you at 128, i could even maybe do some very light processing
Also i really enjoy you videos, it feel good to see you play and just jam around your kit, i love ultra cut and edited videos for drum cover, but i really enjoy this kind of "raw" video to show what it actually is to play drums !

how many peripherals can you connect to the kvx? on my 17 kv there´s only a big plug with all the cables needed for a crash a ride a cy 5 hi hat 4 drums and the bass drum, and then 2 extra slots for a second crash and an extra peripheral
