What powders are you liking with it? So far unique has been giving great groups in my security 9. I am going to try clays powder next just for fun. For performance 9mm I like longshot.
I have noticed it’s hit or miss with TL bullets depending on the gun. They have done well in my 45 colts and my security 9. Used to do well in my fathers tangfolio witness. But in some friends guns only had ok accuracy or leaded a bit with tumble lube. Don’t lead in my stuff so far though.
@@jw-sigp2258 leading is non issue. The reason for them in LEE is not requiring sizing. Later they discovered they work well in micro groove because of surface area. I tried then a few times each time the conventional lube bullet of identical dims shot better.
@cw2a I have the non TL version of 452-230-TC as well. I will powder coat those too. If they shoot better in my S&W 25-15 maybe I will use that mold a little bit more. My fathers 1911 shot better groups with non TL design.
@cw2a hey CW what’s the fastest speed you’d load a LEE 452-300-RF to in a S&W model 25-15? Im looking for something that won’t shoot my smith loose but has deep penetration. My 230 grain molds are nice but was looking for a 300 grain mold to play with. Would want to use unique powder with 300 grain bullet.
I have this mold I plan on using in 9 mm. Good video btw!
Thank you. I plan on doing more videos with bullets from this mold sometime.
Great 👍 testing.
Thanks James. I think these did well for a practice load.
I use the non tumble lube version of this bullet.

@@jw-sigp2258 I mainly use Hp38.
never used tumble lube bullets but I have shot plenty of the lee 124 grain cast bullets no issues
LEE molds are hard to beat. Affordable, and cast bullets decent with ease.
I dont care for these tl bullets.
Glad they shoot well for you!
