I owned a software company for 35 years before I retired. I was speaking to the new CEO a few months ago and he told me the new Board of Directors decided to removed all DEI policies from HR. Since they no longer have any DEI policies they will be free to only hire people without pronouns. Sounds like a solid business policy to me.
Ethics Department did more damage to this franchise of a trilogy thanks to Squeeeeeeenix.

Yep keep voting with your wallets, folks. Companies need to publicly apologize for their woke shenanigans and damaging franchises people care about. Deliberately vandalizing IPs people care about is not acceptable. I hope to see many companies go out of business as a result of this.
Yeah, but this is Square's entire fault for bending the knee. Don't blame the activist. Square allowed these losers to influence the creative process of their games. Square and other game companies are the reasons as to why the gaming industry is crashing. Square take the L and move on and hopefully you can return to putting your fans and your properties first. Wait and see approach.
I lost respect for Square Enix. This should have never happened. What if they never fully recover. Let this be a lesson for all game companies about the dangers of hiring activist.

Every line is accurate, and has a place in the real world. They ruin established characters and stories (throw the food on the ground), call you an istaphobe if you don't like it (yell at you), blame you for not wanting it anymore (tHiS iS pRoGrEsS/sTaR wArS wAs AlWaYs PoLiTiCaL), cutting content and repackaging as DLC/mtx (serving one fry at a time/ketchup sold separately), all while management claps in the background being media and governments going along with it

Hopefully this starts a powerful new trend. Perhaps a new gaming system to utilize all upcoming titles so we can abandon the woke industry that has seized control of all our entertainment outlets.

In your dreams. There is an army of Kennedys and Igers in Disney waiting to take those jobs. They would need to redo HR - hiring, policies, trainings and education, clean DIE from all the offical papers, and they would rather die and go bankrupt than to do that.

And THAT is the best part of it. Square Enix is a major japanese studio. If they are willing to part ways with the west and the woke, and they manage to see success that will be reflected in many other areas of entertainment in Japan. Because believe me, the woke mob is trying their absolute BEST to change Japan. They're hitting hard on anime, trying to force studios to adopt "global standards", and other game companies like Bandai Namco and Capcom are pretty much westernized by now. This change in Square Enix has the potential to free japanese entertainment from the woke influence. All we need to do is support games like Visions of Mana and other creators that publicly refused to change their games or make them westernized. Support non woke japanese games to send the message!

(they don't need your left wing political party assistance - they are the best atheletes, boxers,m and basketball players) It's also sexism against masculine men particularly white men. See the movie Ghost Bustes 2016 where Chris Hemsworth is merely in the movie as beefcake for girls to perv at. His character is cucked and subordinate. Luke Skywalker's character in Star Wars Sequels is another example where Luke is considered weak and incompetent and can't teach Rey anything new. (the woke mob thinks it's mansplaining when a man teaches a girl in scenes)
Whenever you see a white guy being disrespected in movies and emasculated, it's due to woke ideology. They believe that to discriminate against majorities you help the minorities. But they never ask actual minorities if it's ok to handicap majorities. They just discirminate against the majoritiy thinking it will help. It doesn't. It's an insult to the minorities because it's a belief that minorities are not talented enough to make it on their own merit. That is "woke".
Basically it's pandering to minorities to win their votes and bribing them to like the left wing party, but in reality it weakens the minorities and the left wing people privately do not like minorities however they NEED them to win elections by bribing them with welfare. If they can't get the minortiies the radical left wing politicians can't win since the majority of people in the west do not like communism. One of the biggest groups that helps the woke agenda are feminists since feminist make up a large group big enough to sway politicians. When feminists get to power they create larger government and more regulations and red tape which drives up taxes which then leads to poorer economy. Feminism mostly thrives in rich first world western countries. Why? Because they flock to countries that are safe and have more resources not the third world countries.
About damn time
We're going to start seeing more of this from companies that want to make money. There is no money to be made in wokeness. Unfortunately, the industry is riddled with companies that care about an agenda more than making money.
Just curious: Do you see ff7 rebirth as woke? There are some things that might be seen as woke in other games, like the strongest characters in battle in the game are all girls (yuffie, tifa, aerith) , and there are a lot of gay side characters, and femenine guys.
But you also have hypermasculine guys like Dio, and Barret.
I don`t see it as woke at all, the game is just really vibrant, and all of that fits natural in the game.
@@mangomariel I don't, as Tifa, Yuffie, and Aerith are all complex and lovable female characters, their strengths come with flaws in story as well. Same with Barret, who is one of my favorites in the crew.
For it to be woke, it has to have all those characters being written with no flaws, be written as unlikable as possible, and push the western ideology's points about sexuality, race etc.
It has some of the ideology in regards to gender, but very mildly it practically isn't really anything outside what you'd see in anime.
They're like a waiter that keeps modifying your order as you place it, yells at you that you're awful for wanting what you ordered, then only delivers half undercooked and tells you you have to keep tipping them to get the rest, one spoon full at a time.

Still waiting for PC. Including several other titles. If want to play early after it came out, I just borrow the console from cousin or friends. With PC, I will restore the censored character back to it original form using mods.

As a fan of FF14, this is good news. I was starting to see a few red flags of wokeness creeping into the game.

People don't realize just how big of a shake up Square is causing in the industry this week. Being one of the largest 3rd party developers and in Sony's pocket for decades, to break away from the PS exclusivity publicly and now reject the DEI Sony forced on them is a declaration. It will spread now and publishers are scared.

this is the last leg of what was keeping consoles relevant as a #GenX (1970-80) I know this first hand, we never had a pc in are home untill after the height of the "Disk" era so there purpose was relevant, it wasnt till the end of the "generation" of x-360, Wii, & PS3, from then its been neck & neck far as what a console can do & PC. The "console war is over"
first good chuckle for the week. They are shiat waiters. As a time traveler, I remember when I was in the movie theater and saw a commercial/trailer for Final Fantasy 7. I was blown away by this in the theaters and then when i played the game on PS1; the emotional rollercoaster this game gave me is on the level of DBZ. Then I played FF6, blowned away again by game play mechanics pushing the NES to its limitations, also knows as FF3. Then Advent Children fixed my confusion after seeing the spirts within, so as time moves forward they tend to fix their follies. Thanks Square by keeping your roots in Japan.

Crystal dynamics needs to do the same thing.
Companies need some form of 100 question test that they give to potential new employees that enlightens the company of the person's stance on particular subjects so they are able to discern their philosophical allegiance. The questions should all be very basic and leave no clue as to the results or intent. I just did an application for USPS, and they have a very similar system set up but it's based on work ethic instead of philosophy.
They've been ahead of the curve for the longest time, and we (gamers) loved it... woke is just a stint. Let's hope we're getting back to awesome now. ✌️😇💙

I played Fallout 4 back in the day. I put in over 500 hours and never finshed the game, I finished the DLC on the island, but never completed the main story. I just liked walking around in the world, did some building that was a waste of time. I loved the world and will go back into the game soon fully modded. I put 400 hours into Skyrim and never finished the main story, but did all the dlc, just loved wandering around in a good world that was modded.

Makes sense for the sony exclusive to be dropped, too... As their western division pushes DEI big time. How do I say this... Nibelheim was a lot more "colourful" in Rebirth. For a tiny bumpkin town that's a bit strange... Lol. Midgar and larger pop places it made more sense to have a more mixed bag. Just in Nibelheim struck me as odd.
