Myself I never played the Tomb Raider games growing up as my collection took me into a different direction. As far as what I have seen of the Angelina Jolie films they are good not great, but good. The bits of the games that I've seen over the years are the same just good. Given the franchise which is predominantly game based hasn't had big hits sense the PS4 and Xbox One consoles started up shows this series may be dead on arrival because this franchise hasn't been cooking as opposed to the Jolie films which came during the PS1 and PS2 era of games at the height of the franchise. Given Walerbrigde hasn't had a ton of hits as of late not only will the directing but the casting will be paramount for this series to even have legs. Look at Wednesday even when the story wasn't there Jenna Ortega's acting was what held that show together, so Amazon really has to get this part right.
Jolie was perfect casting though. Even as a British guy, I thought her accent was impeccable given most Yank's attempts are unbearably cringe (see Oscar Issac's in the recent Moon Knight show lmao).
They always and only references Fleabag. She has no other merits to her name. Everything she touches bombs. How is she still being hired?

Personally, I found putting on the whole armor of God indispensable to reducing overall noise, but God has never been a popular topic in mixed crowds, so I hear many found "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey to be positively impactful when appropriately applied.

These types always claim to love the franchises they work on then proceed to change everything about it and take away most of what people liked.
What's worse is that they're trying to shoehorn apparently that movie and the show to the upcoming games. So if and when they will suck and you want to understand the games, you need to watch that garbage. Though, from the "escaping colonialist past" comments of last month regarding the franchise, I'm losing hope for the games as well.
I rather see a Tomb Raider 2 starring Alicia Vikander or a 3rd film with Angelina Jolie but as a Older Lara Craft than this like Yes Lara Craft is a female character but she’s not a feminist like she’s a attractive smart adventurous character that’s it.
There was supposed to be a sequel to the 2018 film, that as I recall was supposed to take inspiration from Rise of the Tomb Raider, but was canned due to covid.
