  • This is not the first time I've done this flight, but it sure is fun every time I do it. After touching base with Norcal we were cleared into Oakland Class C to the numbers of runway 30 at 2000. Next, we proceed to the mid-span of the San Mateo Bridge, at which point we are navigating a hundred feet or so below the San Francisco (SFO) Class B. Once clear of all airspace, including Class D for San Carlos, we make a beeline for Half Moon Bay and an awesome crab sandwich! Hope you enjoy the video!

Nicely done! Another excellent video, I appreciate seeing the west bound bravo transition, since we are south we don't see this one demonstrated much, super useful to see it in practice.

Three crosses are the tall white crosses next to 580 in Castro Valley. Not sure why NorCal would send you all the way down there. Seemed more efficient when she instructed you for own navigation and then contact KOAK tower.

I bothered me that I didn't know where they were, so looked them up once we landed KHAF. Scratched my head on this one too - why so far south? It would have put me on the approach path for 30 at KOAK as well, unless she was thinking SJC Class C transition, instead of KOAK.

From where specifically do you get this "crab sandwich"? At the Pilot Light restaurant on the field? Sincerely, fellow Bay Area Pilot. lol

Hey, just started flying at KCCR at PSA so this content is always great. May I ask, what mount / camera see are you using for the face cam? And what are you using to record ATC?

Hi Kevin. The mount I use is about 7-8 years old, so I couldn't find it, but here is the link to the closest one I did find from Joby: joby.com/us-en/suction-cup-and-locking-arm-jb01330-bww/
Also, here is the cable that I use that goes directly into my GoPro: www.marvgolden.com/mg-88s-gopro-hero5-9-recorder-adapter-for-g-a-headsets.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAqbyNBhC2ARIsALDwAsBIrbdZ1t0g5OUuvBxtl-KEmkNyrQMnXjrIul_jn5rM9JRzRMSd8b4aAiWYEALw_wcB

One quick note about audio recording. I've had the audio fail on a couple of flights. It think it has something to do with the audio connection in the camera itself - same cable worked just fine on another camera. Soon I will be switching to a digital recorder setup to records ATC - I think it will be more reliable. When I do, I'll get something out there.
