I was at Hakone during my Japan trip, and the tori gate was my number one place I wanted to go, not even because it was "viral" but because I like red gates and shrines lol. I stood in line for 1 hour and like 20 mins. I don't think the wait was really worth it, but I got my pictures lol

I can't believe just how popular the torii gate at Hakone Shrine is now... First time that I went to Hakone in November 2013, there was nobody about at that torii gate. However, now, you always have that incredibly long line of people waiting to take a photo.
