it's a travesty and a crime against good music that an artist like oleta adams is as underrated as she is here in the u.s. but overseas is revered. makes me question the sensibilities of americans and before anyone gets their panties in a twist I AM an american, born and bred in chicago. oleta my sweet, as always you hold a special place in my heart with your magnificent voice! you never fail to give me goosebumps! i am a fan now and forever!

I am 29 now, I remember my mom brought this CD when I was a boy. She work night and I had to stay home by myself and I would listen to "Evolution." I have not heard this song since I realized that I suffered from depression when I was only 10. But this brings back memories, Although me and my mother don't get along, she did "indirectly" introduce me to good music.

I don't know if the Metropole has great taste, or good luck, or if it's the singers that choose the orchestra. But it's a great match in the cases of both Ms. Adams and Ms. Khan.

I had the great honour to work for Heuvelman Sound & Vision at the time the Grand Gala du Disque was re-invented by a Dutch tv-company. I was sound engineer assistant, have met the great artists backstage. But most of all I was able to thank Oleta myself for her wonderful voice and songs she wrote.. and still is going on inspiring people who hear her voice and play.
