Miss Adams has never been given the recognition she deserves, one of the most full bodied and beautiful voices I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
When you don’t bow to deceitful request you get ignored for super stardom, another great voice, talent who would not lower her standards also India Arie.
When you have real talent like Miss Adam's. You don't need to dress half naked. Just sing baby. Miss Candy is playing that horn like an extension of Oleta's voice. Wow
One of the greatest Collab! Oleta Adams and Candy Dulfer didn’t try to outshine each other but they give and take with one another to show they passion for music to their audience.
There’s nothing more spectacular than when singers and musicians do not try to compete but to compliment and support each other . The heavens open up 🎶🎷🙏🏾🇯🇲
Even though this concert was in 2017, I still listen every day and it touches my soul in a way that makes me so happy. I hope to see her in concert somewhere in 2022. Oleta is on my Bucket List. Amazing along with all that accompanied her.
I can't understand how this singer with her voice and her ability to interpret has never received a Grammy. The mere Grammy Award nominations she has received do not do justice to her talent.
Lord in Heaven I love this woman!!! Every time she opens her soul to sing my eyes well with tears of joy. Stunning. One of my greatest musical inspirations. Bless you, Oleta!!!
O-M-GOSH,, I This video is so dynamic, and so emotionally powerful it simply overwhelmed me. I always held Oleta Adams right at the top of my favorite singers,, right there next to Randy Crawford! These two songs are some of the very, very BEST compositions, and not simple melodies to sing two. African Americans are absolutely the world's MOST TALENTED PEOPLE!!! FACT!!! Their vocal ranges and timbre are absolutely UNIQUE~!~ There's only a handful of white singers that can be compared with all the hundreds of African Americans and Randy Crawford, and Oleta Adams are only two!!! The best tonality, vibrato, and pitch control!!! Amazing~!~!~!~
I had the great, great pleasure to see und hear Oleta live in a Concert in Germany together with a philharmonic orchestra. The best concert I ever have been! Not only the tremendous voice und musicality I was impressed from. Oleta is a very very warm person and she is able to transport this warmth in a naturally way to her audiance. You can see this in every video recorded. I think that no one, who was on this concert will forget this and will love her forever! Best wishes from Germany and everyone stay healthy in this difficult times!!
I think, this is one of the cutest moments in this concert series. This girls blown me away - they are so brilliant - and finally even at Oleta tears were running for joy.
I've watched these so many times, it'd be worn off if on vinyl. Oleta Adams' voice is so soothing....she is main course. Candy Dulfer is cherry on top in "Get Here..."
Well, if it makes you feel any better.... a lot of songs you just don't remember and never seemed to have made a difference or impact, this song however....it's still so strong and good. It's a classic now!
Who ever you are, thanks a million for posting this! Candy is one of the most exquisite musicians, and seeing her having a blast with like minded friends is a pure heavenly treat for the soul! Thank you for this bit of heaven.
Adams wrote Window Of Hope after reading a newspaper article about a teenage girl who had leukemia. The young cancer patient used to draw pictures of what was going on outside her hospital window. One was of a tree with few leaves in winter. The nurses called the picture, "The Window of Hope." When Oleta read this she was inspired to write the song. Years later she met the young girl's parents at a convention. Unfortunately, she died, but her parents were so appreciative of the song.
Oleta Adams..was really having fun...there was this vibe and feeling of love and admiration from the crowd, fantastic feedback, and Candy completely gave it all..like she wanted do her very best..and she nailed it. This concert must have been so rewarding for all artists..shows to see the talent we have...and shows that great artists like Oleta keep comin back...and she's allways welcome!!! love it!!!
Oleta is an aged wine. Just wow! I can hear etta james mixing in her lows. I love the 11:45 to 11:49 mark, you can see her gratitude and appreciation of succession in her career... She is fulfilled. Also look at how she indulge and take pleasure in other artists at 03:38 mark, it's like she is having an arousal on something beautiful. Again just wow! P.S. She is really an instrumetalist who kwows tempo, look how she walks back the stage at 11:08 to 11:13 mark, in line with metronome if you know what i am saying... Hands down to this lady and her vibrato.
I think her career really took of here in europe specially in the Netherlands. I love her presence and her warm personality besides her voice. She was given an award and a tribute in the US..wich did not do her justice, the singers didn;'t sing that well...This concert and tribute gave her all the love and musical contribute that she deserves. Just an awesome concert with the Ladies of Soul!!
Girls you are the best, they all deserve our applause, because they sing, wonderfully, I'm the number one of you, I'm Brazilian, and there's not a day when I'm not seeing your concert videos, glennis you performing in america`s got talents, you broke girl, from all the interpretations of singers in the melody Run To You, you are by far the best of all, you are light years ahead, a powerful voice like witney, excuse me the other beautiful voices, but you Glennis is the best, I congratulate you all girls you are too much,
You can't help but know there is a God the minute she opens her mouth only one person can give beautiful gifts like that and His name is God Almighty when the sax started I felt that in my spirit and soul nobody can do that but My Father God,All glory and Praise be unto you just Devine.
Lol...any time I mention being in love with sax player folks automatic think of dudes! I don't even bring that fish into the boat! Lolol...if they don't know Candy they be "the dandy". Peace, Freedom and boogie that funk! GBCD!
I love even the smallest and unnoticed part and gesture in her performance. I dream and look forward to witness her in person... Live in concer before she retire for good! Please, Oleta please!

I just love Oleta Adams and her voice. I've seen her in concert once and look forward to the next time. I've been told that I look a little like her and I can see the resemblance too. I think she's beautiful so I definitely take it as a compliment.
SUPER Dames.
There are songs like the ray of the sun they will never grow old (Get Here), for each time you hear em it's like new . like a new day of sunlight, This is one of them. 1988 Brenda Russell, Then Oleta Adams 1990. 1000yrs from now you'll feel like 1988 & 1990 all over again.
Her music puts the tears in my eyes! I saw her live at Münsterlandhalle in 1993 or so and she was absolutely amazing!!! At that time she was here so much more apreceated than in her own country and just started to get known in Germany.
Miss Adams has never been given the recognition she deserves, one of the most full bodied and beautiful voices I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
I agree
This is so true. I would pay to see her any day in concert.
When you don’t bow to deceitful request you get ignored for super stardom, another great voice, talent who would not lower her standards also India Arie.
When you have real talent like Miss Adam's.

Oleta Adams is a special voice, interpreter, pianist...pure soul !!!
She is definitely an icon! One of the best in history of music. They don't make music like this these days anymore.
One of the greatest Collab! Oleta Adams and Candy Dulfer didn’t try to outshine each other but they give and take with one another to show they passion for music to their audience.
Candy shows up in surprisingly vibrant sound
well, it doesn't get any better than this
There’s nothing more spectacular than when singers and musicians do not try to compete but to compliment and support each other . The heavens open up 🎶🎷🙏🏾🇯🇲
That is the usual way among singers and musicians. The "competition" is mostly construed by the press.
Right on; first comment👍
oletta, and candy ...OH MY GOD what a combination . brought me to tears... remembering the early 90's
Even though this concert was in 2017, I still listen every day and it touches my soul in a way that makes me so happy. I hope to see her in concert somewhere in 2022. Oleta is on my Bucket List. Amazing along with all that accompanied her.
I am finally going to get to see her tonight and I simply cannot wait!
I can't understand how this singer with her voice and her ability to interpret has never received a Grammy. The mere Grammy Award nominations she has received do not do justice to her talent.

I love the transition from the end of Window of Hope to the musical outro. It's so nicely timed.
I've watched these so many times, it'd be worn off if on vinyl. Oleta Adams' voice is so soothing....she is main course. Candy Dulfer is cherry on top in "Get Here..."
What a great voice from this spectacular artist! This sax, I love!
"Window of Hope" is one of these songs whose lack of chart success is simply inexcusable. Amazing song, amazing performer, amazing rendition.

What a beautiful story.
Candy Dulfer & Oleta Adams Stunning delivery and performance:)
This woman has an unbelievable, beautiful, soothing voice! I have never heard a more wonderful sound than that of her voice!
She is a beautiful woman.
Exactly. Although Whitney and Glennis are technically better, I prefer Oleta and Edsilia over them(and of course Gladys and Mary J)

The sound of an acoustic piano. No synthesizer can substitute. Especially when the player has the right touch. Miss Adams does have that touch.
