I have a engine light with p07a3 ... But the symptom is not really consistent. Sometimes no symptoms. Sometimes can't shift to S mode and it's starts to slip. And when u r able to shift to S mode and use manual shifting. The shifting is perfect...
Could be a little bit of binding in the fork. I'd follow the directions in my video and if the forks a little bit stuck spray a little bit of penetrating oil on it with the actuator pulled put
@@c_ciumy I did took out both actuators spray a bit of brake clean not too much and a bit of WD 40. Rotate it with special tools couple of times making sure they wasnt binding. And now it only act up one time ever since. (suddenly lost 2nd gear and heard a winding sound, engine rpm goes up, and then when let go the gas pedal it almost stall out, but after I put into N, engine stabilized, and the gear shifting goes back to normal without issue again) . I think I need to replace the actuators maybe it was gaving out. I had tried to get quotes to get a clutch job but many repair shop refuse to do it. And the one does cuz 2700. Lol . I'm thinking of getting the luk clutch kit and go to a shop that let u borrow their bay and lift to do the clutch job my self.
Not in this situation. I believe the actuator is locked up internally. If you keep getting a p0606 or u0100 u0101 after replacing the tcm multiple times then yes I'd consider another ground (the alternator may be weak in that situation as well)
I have the same issue but mine doesn’t have no check engine no codes nothing. There’s a loss of power and when going up hills even flooring it, it slowly decelerate
I can help 1 on 1 in my discord if you want to join. I'll ask you to make a short video of the issue as that'll help. I may not be able to figure it out without the car in front of me in real life but I'll try
Isn't the clutch side of the transmission supposed to be dry? Even if the tcm has a bad oring there shouldn't be any oil leaking out correct? I would assume the signifies a bad seal on the input shaft?
My Ecosport with DPS6 transmission has same kind of problem like in this video that it switches to limp mode and loses reverse and makes delay in cranking engine, but this problem is intermittent in my Ecosport
Hey bud, I got an issue w my 17 Focus. 2.0 N/A I took a 2k mile road trip across Texas. Now my engine is having issues receiving gas :/. At 1st it was on the road, everything stayed on but the engine died, now it only happens when I pump gas, it has issues at the beginning wanting to start but then dies, after a min getting the revs up it works but I definitely have loss of power :/ any idea on how to DIY this sh*t ._.
Is amazon the only place you can get the clutch reset tool? I cant seem to find it at any auto parts stores. Any chance I could buy one from a dealership? I really dont want to wait for shipping.
@wholietta I believe that the dealer would order it from rotunda. So either way it's shipping. You can take an old clutch actuator apart and weld a socket to the splined shaft
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles mine was starting to only half engage but I reset and relearnt it worth forscan. That was over a year ago and no issues since. I plan on resetting it every 5k. What's your thoughts on that?
Mine blew entirely at 86k and would go in first and second, nothing else. don’t know why. Just bought a junkyard trans, rebuilt that one and swapped them out. my fork b would get stuck though. They’re honestly shit cars
I have a po7a2 code that finally gave me trouble so I am going to bite the bullet and replace the forks, clutch . My mechanic won't rape me like dealership. I am going to have actuators, rear main seal replaced too at 150k miles
So i got my transmission oil changed but a day later, i got the clutch position A is stuck code. Is there a reason a transmission oil change would trigger thid code to come up? Im still planning on doing everything in this video but curious what triggered this.
it’s probably just a transmission code but maybe there’s a chance if it was overfilled it caused extra pressure and the seal in the bell housing started leaking and caused a fork to become stuck
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles ok good that was my golden question because there's a lot of videos out there that they say you have to program them than I found your video and you literally answered that question for me
i double checked and that's not a valid code for a focus. If you're getting a P073(x) code, then odds are the syncronizer is worn. But if the forks are seized, and you never heard a syncro grind, I'd do the clutch job with forks and slave cylinder. Then service the transmission with acdelco friction modified syncromesh

Did you manage to fix your problem? I get the exact same problems on mine.

Omg this is exactly my current problem im driving on manual shifting right now
I have the same code replaced actuator A. bought the tool from amazon but mine wont unstick
Needs clutch and fork replacement
Would it help if there was a direct ground wire from the TCM casing and straight to the negative battery post?

Interesting. I have the U0100 and U0101 codes as well but not the P0606 code.
it can help but not in this situation. my car wouldn’t start and when i added the ground you mentioned it started

what exactly is the reason for this code 2012 focus U3003-17
Hi, sounds like a generic low voltage code in the abs module. I'd charge and test the battery, clean the body grounds and terminals and clear codes

Hi.. the leak was coming from the tcm area which is separate from the clutch housing
And that was done after new clutch and new computer put on .
I put new actuators in mine this month and ford says that have to be programed into system cost 140.
Actuator motors don't need to be programmed. Thanks for watching

Tcm is free. The actuators and Trans service is 850 including diagnosis
WOW, Ain't nothing Cheap anywhere anymore I guess. 🤷♂.
@kendavis1198 yeah definitely. 850 is cheap these days

What are parts fully called ??
What is the failure rate? Mine has had 8 owners. The engine in guaranteed mint. 97k miles. I'm in the UK.
100% of DPS6 transmissions will have an issue within the lifetime of the vehicle. That may just be shudder all the way up to no engagement.

Have the rear main seal changed while the transmissions already out. Make sure they replace the bushing behind the clutch as well.

That's most likely a sticking clutch fork

You answer the question ❓⁉️ YOU DONT NEED TO PROGRAM THEM
Programming is not required for actuator replacement

P0734? That's an incorrect gear ratio code. Are you sure that's the right code you have? I normally see that on hydraulic automatics
