Martyr! is my favorite new book of this year. Every customer at the bookstore I work at who buys it after I recommend it to them comes back in to rave about it. The ending is next level. And Kaveh is an amazing poet, as well.

I did read Plainsong, and it was lovely. He also wrote Our Souls at Night. If you like Claire Keegan, you'll probably like his writing.
I'm excited about it. My friend it's very meditative and quiet. I'm planning to get to it sooner than later.
I loved Martyr! It was a 5 ⭐️ read for me this year. Cerebral, poignant, and zany AF.
