    I picked up the deluxe & i'm loving it, 6 hours in & I'm still in chapter 1. It's so easy to get immersed in the world that the main critical path isn't a priority for me.
    I did approach it with most of the HUD turned off except the compass, on hard, with the japanese VO. It certainly isn't for everyone but I feel like if you enjoyed death stranding you have a higher chance of clicking with this title.
    Also can't agree more about the tengu, you can hear their wings easily so the constant squawking needs to be addressed.

      As another fan of Death Stranding, I totally agree with you on how easy it is to get immersed in this world. I started turning off parts of the HUD and used the Japanese VO. The exploration aspects of this game as top notch and make me want to keep going back.

      Try tweaking the sound effects. I turned mine to 50 and the tengu are much lower in the mix. You can still hear all the other stuff though. Doesn't really detract from the sound design for me. I also turned their markers off on the map, helps clean up the clutter.

    • @KumaPlays
      @KumaPlays  2 года назад

      @@birchmahogany2718 Thanks for the suggestion. I will play around with the sound. I really like all other aspects of the sound design for this game.
      And agreed on the map clutter. Now that I get to go back and fully explore the game I've turned off completed items on the map and most of the UI. Also, tweaked the graphics Turned on performance mode and turned off motion blur. Much better experience.

    They did such a terrible job with marketing this game. The story is dark in tone and definitely has horror elements but it's really lighthearted for the most part. Super quirky, has a great sense of humor. It almost feels like a child's game at times cause it's incredibly straightforward and relatively easy but I am absolutely loving this game. It is so chill and just outright fun to play. I think it's easily the best game that Tango Gameworks has made and it's just insanely polished. I really hope the word of mouth changes for it cause a lot of people have already written it off but I can honestly see it becoming an all-time favorite for a lot of people. If you want something with over the top action and twitch style gameplay, you probably won't like it. If you want something a little more chill but really fun in an old school way, definitely try this game out. Don't play in 30fps either, it feels really sluggish. Go with the 60fps option, it's infinitely better.

    • @KumaPlays
      @KumaPlays  2 года назад +2

      This game is pretty chill. I sometimes find myself walking or gliding around without encountering any enemies. And that is just fine. Exploration is one of part of this game's charm.
      Totally agree with you on the terrible marketing. More than half of the people I've talked to have never even heard of this game. And the other half think it is either a first person shooter or a survival horror. And its not exactly either of these.
      Thanks for the comment!

    l played this game right after playing 110 hours of Elden Ring so challenge wise on normal settings feels too easy at times ,however the enemy design and aesthetics drew me in so much that l find hard to put the game down sometimes

    Saw your review on the subreddit and decided to check it out
    Was interested in the game pre-release but was on the fence about buying it now but decided to dive in after reading your other comments discussing it in relation to Death Stranding. Loved that game and after a few hours in Ghostwire, I can definitely see the comparisons.
    The combat feels a bit lackluster but the atmosphere, world design, and visuals more than make up for it personally.

    • @KumaPlays
      @KumaPlays  2 года назад

      Based solely on that, probably not. GWT really shines in its focus on exploration. It is way less horror focused than EW 1 & 2. Also, GWT is quite short if you aren't interested in the exploration component.
      If you are looking for a survival horror experience, then definitely not. I do really like the game, so if you are really curious perhaps you should wait until it is on sale.

    " repetitive" that word shouldn't be use in a review at all all games are repetitive by nature! One of my favorite recent FPS Doom eternal that game cannot be more ' repetitive" even if it tries does been that " repetitive" makes it bad? Of course not! That's why if you make a review the thing that you have to always have in mind Is' FUN" fun factor is what make or break a game so forget about " repetition! All games are repetitive! Is baffling to me that on 2022 ppl are still using that in their reviews I bet that whatever your favorite game it is repetitive as hell! The question is are you enjoying what you are doing no matter what " repetitive" it can't potentially be? Are you having fun?

    • @KumaPlays
      @KumaPlays  2 года назад +1

      Valid point. I agree that all games have an aspect of repetitiveness to them. It is about if that repetition takes away from overall game. If the game becomes dull or monotonous to the player as a result.

    that game looks terrible. It's sad, it has all the right pieces and it should be great. But it's 6 hours of story and 20 hours of cookie cutter ubisoft content.

    • @KumaPlays
      @KumaPlays  2 года назад

      Thanks for the comment.
      I can totally see how this game wouldn't be for everyone. I get why you say cookie cutter too. But for me, a lot of the side quests actually contain a ton of cultural and horror related content.
      I think people who enjoyed Death Stranding, the Evil Within series, and those who really enjoy Japanese culture are going to like this game. At least that is it for me. I'm having a blast just exploring and collecting things. There are tons of little details (the location of currency, how certain yokai change the environment, etc.) that keep me engaged and wanting to find more.
