    Nice vid, but you seriously never fired up the new pipes for us? Major blue balls

      Solid feedback and if I could go back and fix that I would.. its been something I do though for projects since then. Lots of comparison videos of exhaust of M2s and more since.

    Excellent content and channel but my only kind of surprise was with this video, I’m in the market for the same axle back from Active A, was anxiously waiting to the end and finally hear the exhaust but nothing, what happened????

      Very quiet exhaust. Not cheap to buy either, but if its volume you want look elsewhere.

    I bought carbon fiber exhaust tips for my 335i, do you think I would be able to put those tips on instead of the ones that they provide? The carbon fiber tips fit the stock exhaust pipes perfect.

    • @BMWDIYGuy

      Probably yes.. check pipe diameter to be sure

      Hey, funny enough I’m thinking of getting this exhaust and want to use the carbon tips as well, I know this is a few years old, but did they fit? I don’t know the diameter of the Active exhaust, but it seems pretty similar in size by eye as he had them laying down

  • @sayerma

    LET ME WARN EVERYONE - This exhaust is VERY QUIET. Bought one and also deleted resonator on my F30 335i....bitterly disappointed. Spent $1500 AUD after shipping to Aus and installing, what a joke. I should have used my usual exhaust guy to source a good quality universal muffler from his suppliers with dual outlet and then fabricate for nice tips finish. Would've cost me probably $500 instead.

  • @Markyboi369

    Is this a 3” pipe? Do you think it can connect to a supersprint or awe midpipe that removes the resonator?

    Hey I just picked this up, the Rev. 2 actually and was wondering if you had issues with this exhaust pointing down slightly? Seems I can’t get mine to look straight and level. Any suggestions?

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  6 лет назад

      Great question and in retrospect, I think mine might be slightly tipped down too after standing beside my car at head height, doing a dyno recently. That said I have heard you can help adjust that by twisting the midpipe to change the angle. I plan on doing that the next opportunity I have.

      BMW DIY Guy great, please let me know how that works.

    Thanks for sharing this video. is that will affect the manufacture warranty? my car is 2015 CPO 435

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  5 лет назад

      It shouldn't no.. they cant void your warranty for making a change on your car.

    • @simonromero4294
      @simonromero4294 4 года назад

      BMW DIY Guy only way they’ll refuse to warranty coverage is to install a Catless downpipe and a tune like MHD bootmood3 or any other like. What I do is when warranty coverage needed I just swap the Catless for the stock one and revert my tune to stock, then u are ready. Some dealers can give you a hard time cause they can track ur previous tune so if that’s the case just pick a different dealer or Tip the tech lol.

    That was an excellent video on your exhaust. Your step by step instructions are really good. Ever want to sponsor someone, I've got a 2011 335i E93 N55 convertible with only56k and the M sport package.

    What kind of torque is needed to make sure everything is tight and wont move? I just installed the AA axleback on my f30 328i and noticed I REALLY had to tighten down those clamps to make sure the muffler wouldnt slowly move out of place, so much so that I deformed slightly where it joins the cars midpipe where I cut, and the "flaps" of the opening of the AA exhaust where it joins are now practically touching (no space left).

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  5 лет назад

      Wow.. ok, I will say I didnt apply nearly that much pressure, and mine hasnt moved. Were the pipes clean, no dirt or anything that might keep the clamp from a solid connection?

    • @machucast
      @machucast 5 лет назад

      @@BMWDIYGuy I think a previous muffler delete i had done at a shop is the ultimate culprit, as they put a sleeve over the connection and may have tightened it in a way that it made my pipe oblong, so now that i put on my own pipe, i had to tighten it a LOT to have a decent connection, been through 4 mufflers (stock, muffler delete, MPE, and now Active Autowerke, so through all of those im sure things got tweaked.

      @BMWDIYGuy  5 лет назад

      @@machucast oh man.. yeah.. if it wasn't round to begin with, I can see that being an issue.

    Hi there, I'm wondering if the rest of this car's exhaust is stock. My '14 435i currently has a Catless DP and the rest is stock. I'm interested in this product, but am wondering if anyone has experience with installing this in addition to a catless DP. Before I buy I'd like to see if I can find someone who can comment on if that combo is obnoxiously loud.

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  6 лет назад

      Great question and not one I can answer.. I have the stock DP at least right now, so cant answer this for you. Sorry! There is the possibility of catless or catted performance DP in my future though.

    • @sayerma

      This exhaust is very quiet, not much better than stock. Look elsewhere if you want a noticeably louder tone.
